Just a reminder that when s3 came out, most of Reddit was completely denying any possibility of Will being gay.

Then in s4 when Will’s sexuality couldn’t be denied anymore (though some of them STILL thought he was straight) they argued he wasn’t in love with Mike before vol 2 released.

Now that they’ve been proven wrong (twice), they’re insisting that there’s absolutely no way in hell that Mike could ever be gay/bi and actually love Will back. 🤡

Mike getting Vecna'd in s5 would be a perfect way of introducing his gayness and his love for Will to the GA also Vecna knows Will loves Mike and he's gonna go after Mike to get to Will (i'm not saying Mike had a nosebleed in s4 i'm saying it was foreshadowing for s5) Mike is gay and has internalized homophobia and he's depressed.. perfect Vecna victim. also when he was outside of the school with Dustin it looked like he was having a headache

In my opinion one of the biggest byler proofs isnt in the show, or even anything an actor has said. Its the fact that Stranger Things, at its core, is a show about outcasts. Always has been. It was never meant for the straight white rich people.

I’m not saying El hasn’t been through a tremendous amount of trauma, she has, but (and I understand if not everyone agrees) she isn’t an outcast, at least not until season 4. She’s different and special because of her powers, but there’s nothing about her otherwise that would make her an outcast, in fact I think if everyone knew about her powers, she would probably be very popular. Whereas the things that make the others outcasts, (homosexuality, race, disability, tomboyish) are things they would never be popular for in that time period.

El is not relatable In an “outcast” sense, the audience the show was made for can not relate to her in the same ways they might relate to the other kids, because none of us (at least I don’t think, I actually believe in psychic powers bc I’m a nutcase but I digress) have psychic powers, but plenty of us are lgbtq+, black, disabled, tomboyish, etc.

Which leads me to the point, if byler isn’t endgame, Mike is not really an outcast either except by association with his friends. Why would two straight, white, non relatable characters end up being the main endgame couple in a show literally made for outcasts. It wouldn’t make any sense at all.

People forget that this show was literally made for us, it just ended up becoming popular with the normies, it was never really for them and that’s why so many of them only watch for Mike and El and can’t understand the cues and hints towards byler, because they don’t have the mindset the show was created for.

Reality Check

Noah Schnapp does not support genocide, and I am really tired of people claiming otherwise. All Zionism means is support for a state for the Jewish people--a not so radical idea given the history of the holocaust. You can support a two-state solution and Palestinian rights to self-determination while still being a Zionist in much the same way that you can still support the right of Israel to exist even if you are a Palestinian activist. The supporter of the Oslo Accords in the 1990s, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, was a liberal Zionist. He supported peace and a two-state solution as do millions of other Israelis and Palestinians. Like Palestinians, almost all Israelis were born in Israel/Palestine and have a right to be there regardless of what happened a century ago. Noah, at no point, has ever openly supported in his rhetoric killing or hurting people, nor has he openly supported what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza--he has made it quite clear on many occasions. This hatred for him comes down, quite frankly, to not understanding his use of a single word and an unhinged online environment where people so easily dehumanize each other.

I’m so fucking tired of seeing a part of the fandom acting like hating Noah Schnapp is acceptable, let alone the right thing to do; or saying that they still ship Byler because they “separate the actor from the character” (there’s nothing to separate because Noah has done nothing wrong). I’ve even seem some “defending” him by saying that he’s uneducated, or brainwashed, or he doesn’t know better, which is about 50 shades of offensive.

He’s a Jewish guy who likes the fact that Israel (a.k.a. the one safe haven for Jewish people, a historically persecuted minority under constant and current threat of genocide, in a land that they have historically inhabited) exists. That doesn’t make him uneducated, or brainwashed, or wrong, and least of all evil or deserving of hate.

Having a different opinion from Noah is fine, we all have different opinions about things and if we dig deep enough we’ll find we disagree on fundamental topics with everyone else. Thinking that hating Noah for his Jewishness (because that’s what this is really about, “Zionism is not Antisemitism” my ass) is the right thing is a psychopath take, no matter how “edgy” you think you are.
