Hey! Idk if this is smth youd want to elaborate on, but I think it's cool you associate colors with the characters and would love to hear about it :)

SO  UM.  MAYBE  I  READ  THIS  ASK  WHEN  U  SENT  IT  &  THEN  IMMEDIATELY  FORGOT  because  i  have  the  brain  smarts  of  a  goldfish  but  omg  ,  ok.  disclaimer  :  i  roleplay  most  /  have  rp’d  all  of  his  charas  in  the  past,  &  i  usually  tried  to  match  my  colourings  with  the  colour  i  associated  most  w  said  character.  double  disclaimer  :  some  of  the  reasons  might  be  hashtag  deep,  but  others  are  literally  surface  level  lmao.  post  in  question  is  here.

wolfgang  :  a  sky  blue.  sky  blue  represents,  like,  understanding,  &  i’ve  always  associated  it  with  wolfgang  because  of  his  intelligence.  plus  like  ,  sky  ,,,  space  ,,  the  associations  r  there

chris  :  this  one  is  so  personal  to  me  ;  i’ve  been  playing  chris  for  a  Very  Long  Time,  &  yellow  has  always  been  his  colour.  it’s  joy,  it’s  warmth,  it’s  hope.  hope  he’s  going  to  get  out  of  castle  rock  ;  hope  he’s  going  to  be  better  than  everyone  tells  him.  it’s  the  colour  of  sunshine,  of  sunflowers,  &  yellow  roses  symbolise  friendship.  yellow  has  always  been  chris’  colour.  

charlie  :  green  for  the  jungle  ;  for  nature  &  health.  it’s  not  something  i  had  to  think  about.  it  just  seemed  to  fit

jimmy  :  red.  ngl  this  was  mostly  because  of  That  Jumper  he  wears,  but  red  is  also  passion  &  recklessness  which  i  always  felt  encapsulates  him

jeffrey  :  grey.  this  was  kind  of  a  nebulous  choice  but  for  me  the  grey  was  because  of  his  identity  crisis  &  issues  ?  grey  for  the  unknowingness  of  it  all.  yeah

danny  :  a  bright  blue  but  slightly  darker  than  wolfgang’s.  again  -  intelligence.  danny’s  smart.  but  also  he  wears  so  much  blue.  almost  all,  if  not  actually  all,  of  his  outfits  in  the  film  have  him  in  blue.  It’s  His  Colour.  it’s  trustworthy,  but  also  light  (  representing  his  ability  to  just  Up  &  Leave  when  necessary  )

indy  :  this  specific  shade  of  green  was  mostly  because  of  his  scout  outfit  ,,,  but  there’s  that  vague  like  enviousness  that  i’ve  always  kind  of  felt  between  indy  &  fedora  ?  but  yeah  mostly  his  scout  outfit

devo  :  cream  ?  it’s  neutral,  passive,  serene  --  definitely  the  colour  of  a  pacifist  &  someone  who  would  turn  away  when  shooting  someone.  devo’s  a  good  egg

eddie  :  tan  brown.  dependability,  responsibility,  security  --  felt  fitting  for  an  army  character,  esp  one  who  Comes  Back  in  the  end   u  kno  ?

mike  :  orange.  i  could  talk  about  mike  &  orange  for  hours.  it  means  as  much  to  me  as  chris  &  yellow,  but  it’s  slightly more  obvious  w  mike  because  he  wears  so  much  orange.  That  Orange  Jacket  that  (  most  likely  )  j*mes  fr*nco  now  owns  ,,,,  good  lord.  plus  the  amount  of  orange  tones  in  the  scenery  in  mike’s  scenes  ...  orange  is  creativity,  sexuality,  enthusiasm,  change.  i  just  think  it  sums  him  up   nicely

carl  :  purple.  wisdom  ,  arrogance  ,,,  seems  fitting  for  a  boy  who  hacked  his  school  database  to  fudge  his  grades

talbot  :  black.  ngl  this  was  mostly  bc  a  )  the  movie’s  night  scenes  r  so  dark  &  that  stretching  black  sky  he  sleeps  under  ?  whew.  &  b  )  talbot’s  depression-turned-madness  after  his  wife’s  death.  plus  like  .  his  hat  .  told  u  they  ain’t  all  deep

james  :  dark  blue.  hes  so  SERIOUS  &  for  WHAT  ???  he  wears  a  lot  of  blue  but  i  can’t  ever  stop  thinking  about  that  jacket  he’s  wearing  when  he  &  miranda  go  to  the  convenience  store  where  he  proposes.  but  yeah  it’s  mostly  to  do  w  how  Serious  he  is
