I am my mother's daughter, I have never disposed of any thing in my life. The tiny trinkets I've collected from 8 - the sadness I have carried in my heart since 15. I have never put a single thing down, only ever packed it away neatly in its respective little corner in my mind. I have stacked skyscrapers of memories, maneuvering around them to dip my toe into the pond of nostalgia - I do not remember the last time I did not feel my heart beat in my hands. I am my mother's daughter, with great difficulty and far too much pride, I carry with me every single thing that has ever been said to me, my own trinkets weigh me down. I am part storage room, a poor excuse for a human. I hope I will be forgiven, for I am my mother's daughter, I have never known how to let go.

honestly fucking fascinating that people will pretty universally understand that thin people can be naturally predisposed to thinness regardless of what they eat or their activity level, but that so many of the same people cannot possibly fathom that fat people could have similar dispositions or that there could be any factors more complex than a "lack of self control."

Moonlight is my favorite movie ever. A much needed depiction of Black masculinity and Black love, especially Black, queer, high school love. Amazing movie I cry every time. Moonlight winning best picture in 2017 changed the trajectory of my life
