Losing my mind watching people not understand why Jax treated Pomni like that, yes he was awful to her, yes he absolutely said things he shouldn't, but he's VERY BLATANTLY self isolating, he's not being a dick for dick's sake, he's BLATANTLY trying to villainize himself to Pomni so Pomni leaves, but she is able to correctly call him out for the fact he's lying because he's scared of the fact he let her in even a little, and while Pomni doesn't have to take it, it's clear she is unsatisfied with the narrative Jax is clinging to and is wanting to push Jax out of that comfort zone because she sees the damage it's doing to everyone including him.

It's sloppy and messy and bad for them, but it's not Pomni being helplessly gaslit, Jax isn't trying to subtly manipulate her, he's trying to self harm with her, he's literally trying to get her to shoot him in the head without him fighting back. He's hurting himself on her to make her leave and to make him not want to reach out to her.

Which is still again, unhealthy as fuck, but in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT way to just Jax being a manipulative jerk and the fact she doesn't seem to want to give up isn't a sign of jax "winning" or "manipulating her" it's her seeing through his bullshit and going "nope, you are a person, a terrified angry person lashing out, and i dont have to take this, i wont let you walk over me, and i won't let you do this to yourself unchallenged."

"I am aware that pretty much every critic has mentioned the many reasons why the treatment of Stella towards Stolas is really hard to take seriously but I want to go through one that really angers me. The horrible framing. There's no evidence of Stella being abusive in the whole first season, I know she throws stuff at him in ep 2 and hires Striker in ep5, but considering what's happening, people can just see it as a woman angered at her husband for cheating on her, and so the episode where it shows the audience the supposed truth of Stella, it comes off as unnatural and stupid, it doesn't help by the fact that it's conveniently after the episode where Stolas gets completely recontextualized and framed as a poor baby who keeps suffering for no reason and during one that almost frames him as a new protagonist. And of course, the extremely immature, one dimensional and inaccurate way Stella acts that removes seriousness and just makes it seem as something that came out of nowhere just for people to feel bad for Stolas. Another one that has also been mentioned is the hypocrisy of the fandom, I could mention characters like Valentino but something more insulting is Andrealphus. The guy is literally the male version of Stella and yet he's the one that gets the silly Lil guy treatment both by the fandom and Viv, his incestuous comments get treated as silly jokes and people even draw toxic yaoi art of him and Stolas, so it's not even a "we treat Stella badly because we hate abusers" sort of excuse and just comes off as a "we treat Stella badly because we hate women""
