My Weekly Fashion Article that I wrote for the newspaper
Ready or not, the Fall semester is coming to an end. Since the breezy weather is finally here, it is time to purchase the proper jean for the season. Did you know that the average woman has seven pairs of jeans, but only wears four? I believe nothing should keep you from the season’s hottest denims. Jeans can be ripped, jeans can be skinny, jeans can have a boot cut, or jeans can be slouchy. One thing is for sure, there is no one perfect jean, as there is in the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. In this article, I have highlighted this best denim for Fall. I will bring you the ultimate jean guide.
Before you head to the mall, I’ve compiled my best shopping advice to help you find the perfect denim look. The first jean I recommend is the boyfriend jean. Having a boyfriend can wait, but the boyfriend jean is perfectly fine for right now. This trend is huge for fall. They are inspired by men’s wear. Boyfriend jeans keep you comfortable, but also stylish. They are generally a loose fit, and cuffed at the hems. One great fact to know, is that, when you are cuffing your boyfriend jeans, make sure you fold them about one inch. It is important that they do not look too high. In addition, you can wear boyfriend jeans as a relaxed style, or you can dress them up with a blazer, and a great heel. Enjoy the warm weather months in style and comfort with these jean from Zaras, Macy’s, The Gap, and Old Navy.
Nothing keeps a female looking stylish like a fabulous pair of skinny jeans. For this reason, the second style I recommend is skinny jeans. Wearing skinny jeans, does not mean you have to be skinny! This denim style looks great on all body types. It’s great to play your shape in perennially chic skinny jeans. With this denim style, there is no age limit. They look great on all ages. However, if you choose to wear these jeans, a pair of flats or heels will accentuate the style. Additionally, skinny jeans not only look stylish on women, but on men as well. Some great places you can buy skinny jeans are The Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, True Religion, and J.Crew.
Another must-have in denim styles is the boot cut. Boot cut jeans are classic and always in style. These are great if you want to trade your usual skinny jeans, to these versalitile trouser jeans. Boot cut jeans have the most universally flattering fit. They are popular because they are tailored and flattering. Both men and women can wear them. They look great on all sizes, especially full figured women. One fun fact, is that this style makes you look two sizes smaller. When wearing a boot cut jean, they look fabulous with a heel. It makes women’s legs look extra long. I also love them jeans, because they come in all different colors. You can wear them in in a lighter denim, dark denim, an ombre washes, the classic denim color, or even bright colors. You can wear this with your closet classics like a crisp button up shirt or tuxedo jacket. Some great stores you can find boot cut jeans are Anthropologie, Macy’s, Urban Outfitters, and Lord & Taylor.
As you can see, there are many different options you can choose from, when finding the perfect jean. You do not have spend a lot of money, to purchase your favorite denims. Let’s be in style for spring. With the boyfriend jean, boot cut jean, and the skinny jean, pick a trend that makes your shape look great and feel great!

My Weekly Fashion Articles for The Collegian
Tumblr media
It’s time to start warming up as we are transitioning to colder temperatures. With fall comes setting our clocks back, carving pumpkins, attending football and basketball games, and going on hayrides. The best part about this season is finding the best cold-weather cover-up for the falling temperatures. Investing in the proper coat for the cold is a necessity. In this article, I highlighted the best cover-ups for the colder seasons. I will bring you the ultimate coat guide.
I picked out the best coats and cover-ups to keep you warm, cozy, and stylish. Instead of being layered up in unflattering sweats, let’s bundle up in style. The first design I recommend is the incredibly versatile army jacket. It’s a military inspired trend. We’ve been seeing them everywhere from our favorite clothing stores, online stores, and our favorite celebrities wearing them. These versatile olive colored pieces work with whether you want to be uber-masculine, to ultra feminine. Be at ease during these cold seasons with wearing these soldier-inspired jackets. A great way to wear this stylish trend is by wearing denim jeans and black combat boots. Another idea is by wearing it over your favorite girlie dress. It will toughen up your girlie ensemble. Not only females can wear this trend, but men as well. I love army jackets because you can wear heavier clothes underneath. Some great places you can buy an army jacket in Philadelphia are: Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, H+M, and Macy’s.
Leather, big for autumn, will not be leaving the scene any time soon. To ensure you stay warm and also look stylish is by wearing the perfect leather jacket and coat this season. However, if you do not believe in wearing real leather, you can purchase faux leather. Leather coats will keep you on trend, and beat off the cold chills. I recently have purchased a great biker jacket from Zara’s downtown, and get compliments every time I wear it. This design keeps you not only warm, but also stylish! Leather doesn’t have to be boring. It can be dressed up for going out, but also dressed down for class or an afterschool study session. Some great places to find this design for both men and women in Philadelphia are: Burlington Coat Factory, Zara, Ralph Lauren, The Gap, and J.Crew.
The third style I recommend is the puffer. A puffer jacket is perfect for the winter. It’s the right jacket that will keep you warm, and it will also bring your entire wardrobe together. It is waterproof exterior, which is great for the rain and snow. Puffer jackets are for men and women. They look great in all colors and lengths. It’s up to you to decide how long or short you want the coat to be. To make it look even more stylish, you can incorporate a cable knit scarf, gloves, and a beanie hat. This style will surely keep you warm and fashionable for the cold winter. Some stores you will be able to buy the puffer coat in Philadelphia are: J.Crew, The Gap, Victoria Secret, Zara, Macy’s, Banana Republic, and Zara.
Lets be on campus and the hallways with these fabulous coats. Let’s cover up in style. Wrap up warm during the colder seasons with the army jacket, leather coat, or puffer coat. I hope you are now ready to shop this season’s freshest cold-weather cover-ups!

My French Experience
Tumblr media
After leaving Germany, and being in France for a while, I was use to catching all their public transportations. One morning I woke up early, and went to Crown Holding company.
The Crown Holding meeting was nice and fun. We discussed advertising and their company. Crown Holdings make cans for huge companies like: Coca Cola and Pepsi.
After the meeting, I went to the Eiffel Tower to have lunch. While at the Eiffel Tower, a fashion journalist asked to take a photo of my apparel. I am also a fashion writer, so I found this amazing to be asked this is Paris (The Fashion Capital).

Title of Article: “Corona Extra is Using Cohesive Marketing for Hispanic, General Consumer” What comes into your mind when you think of the brand Corona? The first things that come to my mind are limes, beaches, and relaxation. Those thoughts are exactly what Corona wants consumers to think for their overall brand. In this article it discussed how Corona aired two advertisements that were exactly same, except that one is in English, and the other one is in Spanish. Their objective was to speak to their Hispanic customers in this commercial, and I definitely believe that Corona choosing to air one ad in Spanish was a touch point. They advertised both commercials on television and digital video channels. It allowed Hispanic consumers to see Corona in a favorable light, because in the commercial it celebrated Latinos unique attitude on life, and it captured the social connections, fun and positive energy of Corona moments. In this section I will discuss Corona’s positioning strategy. First, Corona is benefit symbolic. Corona’s ads are always relaxing, and they associate their advertisements with a beach experience. Corona is also benefit experiential, because their ads show consumers experiencing relaxation. Overall, Corona’s brand is associated with a relaxing beach experience. This new Hispanic Summer commercial is both benefit symbolic and benefit experimental because this advertisement showed Latinos relaxing, and having a great time on the beach while drinking Coronas!

Title of Article: “ ‘Share a Coke’ Results Leads Summer Campaign” Coca-Cola provides their consumers with a crisp and refreshing taste from their product. I want to first discuss Coca-Cola’s brand. Coca-Cola’s brand has identification and differentiation, where they have a distinctive red and white lettering on their Coca-Cola’s packaging. However, in the article, it discussed that the wording “Coca-Cola” was removed from the bottle, and replaced by a person’s name. Second, while Coca-Cola is a brand to be considered to have high brand equity, one of their objectives was that they wanted to increase consumption of Coca-Cola over the summer period. Their secondary objective was to have people talking about Coca-Cola again. In order for them to do this, they advertised their campaign called “Share a Coke”. They chose to advertise this campaign to a mass audience through television, outdoor signage, radio, and social networks. Additionally, one key feature from Integrated Marketing Communication with the Share a Coke campaign is touch points. One touch point that was successful from this campaign was how Coca-Cola put popular names on their bottles, and how every bottle conveyed the same message (Share a Coke). Another touch point was how consumers loved how they could hashtag (#ShareaCoke) to share Coke related stories and photos, and that they could be featured on Coca-Cola billboards all across the country. This campaign also allowed Coca-Cola to build new relationships, which will lead to their goal of repeat purchasing. All in all, Coca-Cola’s Share a Coke campaign changed attitudes, and teens believe it gave them a positive impression of Coke.
