Graffiti Trickle affect
The trickle affect is when a trend begins from the public or a high-end company. For mine I chose the trickle up effect of Graffiti design.
The graffiti within clothing first came around as a form of art that mostly teenagers would do in the 80s/ 90s. It was vandalism; however, people began to see this as something they could put onto clothing instead of walls and create fashion. It was seen as street wear and still is, but it was a new revolutionary thing for rebellious teenagers to wear in public and the idea of it being one of a kind and their own art on their clothes.
Throughout time, bigger brands started to experiment with the design and soon it was seen on the Moschino runway which has now been labelled as one of their most iconic shows. Even celebrities have made their merchandise graffiti design, such as the popular singer Billie Eilish.
