Personal growth isn’t about becoming a different person, it’s about fundamentally changing how you interact with who you already are.

I started reading historical fiction again! The last book I read in the genre was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for school last year (everyone in my class hated it, but I would honestly read it again). Have any of you read it?

Before I carry on with my day and live as if the minutes between 11 to 12 is not midnight nor a determination of the current day, I want to put this out there. Something to take my mind of the daily struggles and something I know many people can relate to. Med school is not for the ill-hearted, the coward and the lazy. It’s for the courageous and brave who chooses to sacrifice their youth for people they don’t know and people who couldn’t care less about their contribution. It’s composed of individuals with hearts of gold working toward the betterment of others. More than what one thinks, that it’s done for money, it’s more hardships than rewards, more sleepless nights than successes. Talents of medical students can be put to better use if all they wanted was to make money. Medicine doesn’t give you much, or even just enough, not until you’ve invested more than you could ever get back. Doctors are always subjected to criticism but nobody took note of all the obstacles they had to go through to still end up imperfect and learning.
