hmmmm I will drive myself a little bit crazy thinking about rin’s name not being on the memorial stone. and yeah it makes sense because she didn’t die in the third war but she also was killed in the line of duty during an act of war on konoha by kirigakure except madara orchestrated the whole thing so her dying to protect the village is probably so highly classified within both villages as a means to prevent an early 4th war that she’s consigned to a civilian style headstone away from the others and man… if your dying wish was for your best friend to stay alive and then having been failed that her death wasn’t even acknowledged on an interpersonal level within the village because yours was just that tremendous that she sort of just faded into an afterthought even to the classmates who liked her well enough… man i would summon the nine tails on top of her grave too
