âMY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR, here to save us all from the doom and gloom that this night could bring us.â Mimi wasted no time in going over to Parkerâs bed, smiles bright as she reached over. âi was getting so lonely in the corner there. here, let me just---â as she sat down beside the boy, mimi undid her sleeping bun, letting her hair flow down as she took her place beside parker. âthere we go, much better now.â she careful to make sure the tendrils touched his skin somehow, or that he got a whiff of her shampoo. âhow do you do it, parker? you know, be so strong?â

odetteâ:
â âRIGHT, AND SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU EVER BEEN INTERESTED IN CONSOLING ME?â odette scoffs, knowing full well that like with most people, sheâd never been mimiâs favorite twin. âiâll pass, but no big loss â iâm sure you can find someone else to leech off of.â odette knew she was being a bit harsh, they were all grieving, but odette was angry. and mimi was conveniently there to be a lightning rod for that anger. and she despised the way mimi said us, like the two of them were a unit in their grief, like what mimi was going through could even compare. alright, so maybe odette was throwing a pity party of her own. âright, you must feel so lost without your favorite golden boy to follow around,â she snaps, âbut donât worry, iâm sure the next alpha male will rise to the top soon enough.âÂ
MIMI SIGHS AND DECIDES TO DROP THE SUBJECT; there is little point in bickering. and mimi didnât like to bicker, because when she got angry, the queenâs english slipped and for a moment mimi became maria bennet, screaming at the taxi driver who stiffed her for change. she couldnât have that happening here, especially not before the Imperium Society. âi just wanted to be your friend. iâm...iâm sorry, odette. i didnât realise i must have done something to spite you.â her shaking hands starting twirling ends of her honey blonde hair. even if quentin never noticed mimi, she had never given up hope heâd like her back. she would have never given up on that. eyes squinted at her imaginary loverâs sister, and any sign of sunshine on mimiâs face was now completely gone. âquentin meant so much more than that to me! next alpha male? i donât want that, i want quentin back!â her eyes filled with tears, and mimi had to swallow the next set of words she almost spilled. âmaybe you should be looking out for that alpha male to save you.âÂ

Parker: ofc. just wanted to see how things were going
Parker: god i know, this place is a breeding ground for self reflection. i'm trying not to get pulled in just yet
Parker: hmm, that is a terrible thing! only if you're tired of thinking about the universe
Mimi: I just miss Quentin very much on nights like this.
Mimi: I know right? They should put in a reflecting pool right in the middle for all of us to stare at our sins in. Not that we'd have any, right?
Mimi: It really is. Tired and lonely girls can do anything.
Mimi: I see you sitting there all alone as well. Are you sure I can't come and sit beside you?

lana:
the young woman was trying her best to find the positive side to this sleepover thing. the girl sang masquerade absentmindedly as she arranged her stuff in her backpack, her juice-soaked sleeping bag already handed in to a teacher so she could take it to the laundry. many people had already dozed off, but lana wasnât tired yet. so now there she was, putting her stuff in order. suddenly, she heard a noise behind her and, startled, she turned around, a montblanc pen she fully intended to use as a weapon firmly grasped in her right hand. however, relief washed over her a she recognized the face. âhey. you startled me â you shouldnât walk so quietly around people in times like these.â
MIMI GASPED AND JUMPED BACK, almost stepping on someoneâs toes as she tried to get away from the pen aimed at her. truth be told, mimi didnât sleep a lot at night. the weight of her lies, the thought of final exams and her designs kept her up at night, and when she did doze off, there were no pleasant dreams waiting for her. âlana, itâs just me, your friend mimi!â she shook her head, cheery disposition taking over the fear. âitâs fine, itâs fine. i am wearing fluffy socks, and these are some brilliant wood panelled floors. they never creak. i just wanted to see why you were awake!â

Parker: hey
Parker: i'd come over and chat but it's a little crowded and private conversations aren't exactly possible
Parker: how you holding up?
Mimi: Why thank you so much for caring, sweetie!
Mimi: I'm just sitting by my lonesome, wondering where my place in the universe is.
Mimi: You should give me some company. After all, a lonely girl is a terrible thing :)

odetteâ:
â ODETTE RARELY FELT MUCH FOR MIMI besides a twinge of annoyance. it didnât pass her by how she always seemed to be vying for quentinâs attention â and odette wondered how she was filling her time now. âi have no idea what youâre referring to, but i donât need help,â she snaps, âfrom anyone.â she crosses her arms over her chest, âthese things? do you find yourself in a school-sanctioned lockdown following the threat of a crazed killer often?â an eyebrow rises on her forehead, âeither way, thatâs hardly a talent. sounds more like bad luck.â
THE LIGHT IN MIMIâS EYES dimmed a bit as odetteâs caustic remarks temporarily cut through her facade. it threatened to reveal something darker, like anger she didnât know she possessed. but just as soon as it slipped, mimi came around again, tilting her head. âeveryone needs a helping hand from time to time, odette. besides, i didnât say i was an expert, merely good at consoling people when they needed some consoling. you donât know my life.â she mentioned that fact simply, like there was nothing to it. then mimi proceeded to gather her legs, pressing them close to her chest. âi am afraid too, you know. someone very close to us died. and theyâre back at it again. and i miss quentin, so much. he would have kept our morales up.âÂ

jamesâ:
âDonât mind if I do.â James settled down beside Mimi, and then took to gazing in the direction she was looking at. Despite the news that had rocked him to his core, he was determined to not let it ruin his sleep. Maybe talking to cheery old Mimi over here would help lift his spirits. âWell, Iâm not sure about you, but the view doesnât look any better. What exactly are you looking at?âÂ
THERE WAS A GIGGLE as the boy took his place beside her. mimi felt giddy at the attention she was being shown by a member of the opposite sex. quickly quelling that bubble of laughter, she sat up straighter and crossed her legs. âoh, maybe youâre not looking at the same things as I am. or perhaps, you and I have different interests?â she turned to him, a radiant smile on her face. âmy view certainly got a lot more better.â she shook her head, looking away.

â âFLATTERY WILL GET YOU EVERYWHERE, WONâT IT?â odette muses, glancing at mimiâs nest. she certainly has made herself comfortable, a opposed to most who are really roughing it with school sanctioned sleeping bags. sure, theyâre a well-funded school, but not generally prepared to host a hoard of anxious students in their academic buildings overnight. and mimi certainly seems more relaxed about it than anyone should be. âbut not with me,â she says. she knows most people are hardly looking at her for the view, especially lately. theyâre looking at her because they want something, even if itâs just to watch her break down. âwhat do you want?â
MIMI GAVE the blonde girl a smile of pure innocence in response, like she was incapable of even fathoming the possibility of hurting someoneâs feelings. besides, this was Odette Cromwell, and if the best was gone, she would turn her attention to the next one. isnât that how it worked with twins? âyou can sit with me for a while. let me help you, my dear. Father says I have a talent for these things.â she flipped her hair back and looked down at her own bed; you could say that Mimi was great at making do with what she had. Her bed looked cozy enough to sleep in forever. also, there was no father to speak of, but that lie slipped so easily, she found herself pretending what it would be like to talk about this imaginary figure.Â

WATCHING everyone huddling together, sleeping on the floor of this bare room, mimi couldnât help but think about life back in her motherâs dingy little studio. just the two of them, huddling with spare blankets and whatever rolls of loose cloth her mother had spare to wrap around them. she didnât mind those memories, but surely she could never tell anyone about them. for all intents and purposes, her fellow club members could never know that she didnât grow up in a house this giant, or knew what it was like to not worry about things.Â
she looked up at the person, and there was a smirk on her face. âI just feel like the view would be much nicer if you sat down beside me.â patting the luxurious sleeping bag that she would, no doubt, sneak out to her room, after their house arrest.

hello! i have not done an intro in a long while, so if this is choppy please excuse me! my name is lainie, and i play mimi bennet. sheâs an old muse of mine i used to play a long time ago, and iâve just changed her face, and a bit of her backstory.Â
MIMI BENNET, the SYCOPHANT, is 21 and a SOPHMORE. SHE is majoring in FASHION DESIGNING. In addition to being Quentinâs SECRET ADMIRER, they are part of the Imperium Society. MIMI was probably selected because SHE CONVINCED PEOPLE TO GIVE HER A GOOD REFERENCE. They remind me of SIMPERING SMILES, BUBBLEGUM PINK EVERYTHING, SILK RIBBONS AND THE FEAR OF GETTING CAUGHT IN A LIE
Maria Bennet, but as she likes to be called, Mimi, comes from a single parent family in east London. Her mother is a seamstress and she works for the Theatre Royal during the season. They arenât very well off, as you can tell. So from a young age, Mimi has learned to charm people into doing things for her, or giving her things.Â
She comes across as the nicest person ever, agreeing with everything you would say and matching opinions. Truly though, Mimi really isnât sure who she is as a person, because it is much easier to play a role.Â
She got into university by pulling strings; she charmed one of her motherâs benefactors into talking to the school board, and the next thing Mimi knew, she was going to university, despite the failing grades and no academic future to speak of.Â
This pulling of strings, and her very agreeable demeanour also seemed to have gotten her into the Imperium Society, and sheâs been kissing up to all of them ever since.Â
Mimi might have been in love with Quentin Cromwell, or at least tried to be on his best side. She would do anything for him, and that meant anything. She liked the way people noticed her when she would call him her friend. He didnât know who sent him those moony worded letters.Â
If anyoneâs been more distraught over his death, it would have to be Mimi. But again, itâs just a role she plays. Sheâs not quite sure if she even misses Quentin anymore.Â
Thatâs all I have for Mimi at the moment! Thank you so much for reading this ramble <3Â
