idk why i was just struck with the urge to check how santiago and louis’ age compare to one another. so if santi was turned in the mid to late 20s and he was 58 at the time (as ben daniels was while filming), then that puts his birthdate around ~1868 to 1871. louis was born in 1877. if neither of them had turned, they’d almost be around the same age! is this information life changing? no but it kind of tickles me that they are both older and younger than the other at the same time.

i don’t believe for a second that santiago getting back together with celeste around the same time he starts really questioning armand is a coincidence. she may not be as old as armand (presumably) but she was an original member of the children of darkness, too. if santiago was going to openly start questioning their maitre, he’s going to need strong allies. you can see the wheels turning in his head during the entire rehearsal scene; she backs up each of his claims and he’s emboldened by it, pushes back just a little more each time. i don’t know if they were already fucking again before that but they definitely did after.

i saw on twt that it was “supposedly” mentioned on set that the reason santiago was clouding madeleine’s mind during the trial was to prevent lestat from talking to louis and claudia through her????? if so, i DESPERATELY need to see if this gets brought up in lestats pov
