Less is better. Just give a quick summary with an "As the French book maketh mention", and leave it at that.

Don’t worry about writing a conclusion to every story line. If it doesn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be.

Remember to only sometimes follow up on a thing you mentioned 500 pages ago. Keep the reader on their toes.

Make sure you list every single person taking part in a battle, lest the reader grow concerned that your depiction of the fight isn't specific enough.

And if you forget what you named a character? Just come up with a new name! The reader will figure it out.

Alternatively, give them the same name as the last relative of theirs that you mentioned! That'll really clear things up.

Think you added enough hermits in your story? Wrong. Add more hermits.

Worshipe is your friend.

And above all, have fun! Remember, readers love when you have major character deaths happen off-screen, so don't feel pressured to write things you don't want to!

ok, i'm pretty curious as to what people's religious backgrounds are especially if you engage with arthurian medlit, which is suuuper super steeped in catholicism and christian mysticism.

personally, i grew up roman catholic myself and i went to catholic school my whole life. (i am filipino and i live in the philippines, just to give more context)

christian studies is mandatory in my country, even in university, so i'm taught in a lot of biblical lore and history. (this is on top of my personal niche interest in abrahamic mythology despite being an ex-catholic lol.) so navigating european medieval lit, from cultures i'm not entirely familiar with, is something i never had much difficulty in despite being southeast asian and never having stepped foot in those countries.

i don't identify as catholic anymore nor do i align myself with those beliefs, but having that upbringing does help me a lot in understanding a lot of medlit especially perlesvaus and vulgate. not completely just bc of how dense it is but it still helps!

why i don’t vibe with major yaois in jjba fandom yes

i'm so tired of the yaoi-ification of mlm ships where people feel the need to make one of them (usually the fandom-assigned bottom) into a teeny tiny waifish twink and the other into a huge musclebound super aggro guy (usually the fandom-assigned top) i know this is like a thing many people have been saying for years but i just feel like it has never actually gotten better in fandom spaces. the fatphobia of it, the gender essentialism, the homophobia, it's all so fucking annoying it makes me want to scream
