Imagine telling your f/o about someone unpleasant you had to deal with, and they listen patiently to what you have to say.

The more the conversation continues the more tense your f/o seems to get. Perhaps it's subtle, or maybe it would be incredibly obvious to anyone that saw them. Regardless they hear you out for the entirety of the recounted tale.

Firstly they ensure that you are comfortable. You are and will always be their priority after all. They make sure to give you anything you need, and reassure you that your feelings about this person are valid. You relax for the rest of the day, almost forgetting about the scenario entirely.

The next day that person is reported on the news.
