Imagine your f/o being there with you when you're up late and can't sleep. They don't get annoyed if you wake them up. They don't want you to apologize. You can come to them always. always. Even half-asleep they put your arms around you and ask you "What's wrong?"

They want to hold you close, talk to you, be there for you, lull you to sleep, whatever you need, really, they'll be there, even if a little sleepy. They'll be there all night, just as they'll be there in the morning for you.

Reminders for self-shippers…

it’s okay to disregard canon/semi canon/non-canon ships. your f/o loves you and your s/i is your own little world meant for your comfort and your happiness. you can do that however you want. pretend they don’t exist, or they do, and it’s just a different relationship. interpret canon interactions in a way that makes you happy. your version of your f/o is yours. there’s nothing wrong with that. it doesn’t hurt anybody.

Quiet moments with your F/O are the ones you savor the most. Curling up together in bed and telling each other about your days in hushed, gentle voices. Going out stargazing at the park and resting your head on their shoulder. Maybe they make sure to make you breakfast in bed for special occasions. Or perhaps their way of showing affection is giving you hugs from behind, the sight of you filling their heart with warmth and comfort. Imagine holding them wearing their comfiest clothes. While big gestures are appreciated, the smallest moments are the ones you hold on to, and your F/O is eager to share many more with you.

Imagine getting a paper cut and your f/o being all cute and concerned. They’d whip out a first aid kit, taking care to clean the little cut, putting a bandaid with neosporin on it. They’d kiss it afterwards oh so sweetly. It wasn’t a big deal, and they knew that. They just care so much about you, that seeing you even a little teensy bit hurt is too much for them to bear.

F/O(s) need care and love too! Yes, they would do anything for you. Anything you'd ask. But you gotta do the same too. They're also someone who has feelings/thoughts. Never forget how much they do for you and make sure to always do the same back! ❤❤❤

Never let them forget how much they mean to you! Put aside time for them. Give them an entire day just for them. Imagine the joy that would radiate off of them as they see all you've done for them to show just how special they are!

I want to give some gentle reassurances and reminders as lately I've seen a lot of this from many different self shippers.

It's OKAY to post more horror media if that is what you enjoy, it's OKAY to have ships from darker types of media! (NOT talking about pr*ship and that weird shit just fyi) You have no obligation to always constantly post fluff of your ships! It's okay to write some more horror themes, it's okay to draw more horror for your ships! It's okay to make conflicts in your ships! It's YOUR SHIP not your ship micro managed by other people.

It's okay to ship however you want to ship! You shouldn't have to worry about what other people think(unless your pr*ship then you need professional help), the blacklist and filter system has gotten a lot better than before. They can blacklist the tag if the horror/ conflict content isn't for them and I want to reassure people that if a close friend/mutual ends up blocking or unfollowing you just because of a ship and how you choose to ship then they aren't really your friends to begin with. The right people WILL find you!

You're no less valid for putting horror in your ships or having f/o who are from horror media!!!
