Can I rant about the "save to win" and "win to save" stuff for a second? Because I hate that lesson so damn much. It's 100% in the manga for Bakugo's benefit only imo. Izuku didn't need to learn the "win to safe"-side, because he already knows how to do that. For example in Hosu when he fought Stain to save Iida and Native or during camp when he tried so save Kota. So why is this treated like a lesson for both boys?

You’re 100% correct. Izuku was easily willing to focus on a battle in order to save people. He understands both aspects of “win to save, save to win”. The narrative tries framing it like Izuku needs to learn this lesson but he doesn’t. The only reason it’s treated as a lesson for both Izuku and Katsuki is to push the whole “twin shining star” thing and to make Katsuki look good.

I've seen some people saying charlie's "thank you for being my supportive straight friend haha" message was cringe and unnecessary but when I saw it I immediately thought "oh so you're baiting to see if he confirms or denies it? I see, I see" like chill guys he's just a teenage boy trying to figure out if he has a chance ffs

i am just gonna need folks to pay attention to the 76 different minute facial expressions/emotions Kit Connor shows on his face before Nick finally says “…yeah” when Charlie asks if he would kiss him. i also request careful attention paid to how impossibly soft and vulnerable Joe Locke makes his voice when he asks “…would you kiss me?” i don’t know what we collectively did to deserve these two but we are, without a doubt, absolutely blessed

I've seen a lot of people appreciating kit's acting and don't get me wrong he's INCREDIBLE but I just wanna make an appreciation post for joe locke's acting too because he's just as good and deserves all the love!!

like I just?? you could see so much of charlie's struggles with anxiety and self esteem and stuff so plainly on his face and it was all so subtle but it was so fucking good and . . . just damn y'all joe locke is a really good actor

agree with your post about joe locke, like there's literally no appreciation for him, it's like no one wants to acknowledge how well he did considered this was his first acting gig and this actually is making a bit sad

i think it’s so frustrating to see how little the fans appreciate joe locke but opposed to that seeing so much love for kit connor.

don’t get me wrong, i adore kit and i’ve been a fan of him for a bit now but seeing so much love for him but none at all for joe seems so unfair and unjustified?

ive also heard that joe apparently got a lot of hate for his looks previously to the shows release and it hit him quite hard :/

it seems so hypocritical to me that in a franchise that focuses so much on anti bullying and the horrendous effects bullying has on people, yet so many of the fans bully or ignore joe.

to me, joe locke is an incredible actor and he did so so well!

i also quite frankly think he’s hella cute and just as pretty as kit :)

thinking about the last ladynoir scene again and the parallel to origins, and how in origins marinette was initially rude to adrien and she fell in love with him when he forgave her and was kind to her despite this, and how in strike back the lightning strikes after she says that chat noir should’ve given up on her because of the way she treated him, and he offers her support and forgiveness in response, the same way adrien offered her only kindness after she’d treated him unfairly, and that’s it that’s how she fell in love, i’m so emotional about them aaaaaaaaaa

So at this point I just have to assume that every interaction Marinette and Adrien have is Adrien thinking that Marinette is a god of weird, surreal humor.

Why did Marinette give me a pottery wheel and then immediately throw it in the garbage? Because she's hilarious. Marinette's turning my car down because she's taking coleslaw? lol bon appetit. Marinette calls me hot fifty times in weird stuttering sentences before ultimately answering my question with something normal like "yeah dogs are great"? She's so funny. These are the greatest jokes. I never have any idea where these conversations are going and I love it.

I honestly can't even blame him. I'm taking back his oblivious card. It's so much better in my head that he just thinks she's the funniest girl in school.

New to the Miraculous Ladybug fandom and I just CANNOT wrap my head around the fact that this is a KID’S show. Or early teens show. I just??? The characters are so amazing??? I’m having phantom character arc plotline visions because some of these characters are just too good to not get proper development.

i just realised that when bnha comes to an end, it’s inevitable that we will glimpse everyone’s futures and pro hero deku who’s narrating the past so far will finally finally be shown to us and that is the part that’s making me so excited for this manga to end because wtf i wanna see how these beautiful characters became even more beautiful and who married who and had how many kids and who remained the single cool aunt/uncle mdpwpdplw.
