new years is such a strange holiday for me, as someone who can't remember when the last time they went to sleep before midnight was and who can never remember what day it is. it rolled past and i didn't even realize until someone told me

update: my gifts were well received!!! some were even enjoyed actually!!! and yes, my standards are that low!!!

honestly, as much as I love christmas, I hate giving gifts. and it's not a thing like I-hate-spending-money-on-people or anything, it's a I'm-really-bad-at-giving-gifts-and-it-shows thing.

and you might be thinking "I'm sure you're great at gift giving, don't be so hard on yourself!" No, I know for a fact I'm bad at it, people tell me to my face.

it wouldn't be so bad if they were also bad gift givers, but they are in fact pretty good gift givers, and they give large volumes of gifts. it makes me feel much worse about it

I always love it when people tell me that they can read me, like when they tell me they know when I'm lying, because they are wrong every single time. What my face does means nothing, I just make a lot of weird faces and smile at the wrong time

I have to say, after scrolling through all of my posts (which sadly did not take that long), I love that the one post of mine that got the most interaction (aka more than like 5 notes) is a Jem and the Holograms post I made after watching 2 or 3 episodes almost 2 years ago.

Serious question. I just watched the first few episodes of Jem and the Holograms and I have to ask: how did the Misfits never get arrested? They committed serious crimes (I'm talking destruction of private property, theft, assault, stalking, etc) with many witness and yet they got away scot free every time.

annual reminder not to feed the ghosts! yes I know it seems like a cute tradition, but these are wild spirits with specialized diets, and humans unintentionally cause serious havoc by interfering with their ectosystem
