MineMojo is shutting down
MineMojo has recently become unprofitable for us and we are currently operating at a loss. Considering this and many other factors, such as the crypto price drops and the recent monero hardfork, MineMojo will be shutting down in 30 days.
Mining is no longer available due to the fork, and we simply don’t have the time or resources to work on a new miner script for the fork. The MineMojo website and app will otherwise remain fully operational until April 16, when we will shut down completely.
Please withdraw all your earnings before this date! PayPal and Coinbase withdrawals will also be disabled on April 16th!
This project has taught us a lot about developing large mobile apps and our experience will be used to make more projects in the future! We plan to turn the current “MineMojo Offers” service into a standalone application.
Thanks for all your support over the years!

MineMojo is back online!
For a few days there were some temporary issues with the MineMojo web miner and app, but we are now back online! The increased exchange rate will continue until the 4th of January (instead of the 1st) so that we can make up for the service downtime.

[URGENT] Temporary Issues with MineMojo
The MineMojo mobile app and web-miner are currently experiencing difficulties. This is due to an issue with the domain that points to most of our API services.
We’ve contacted the domain registrar and are waiting for their response, but until then the MineMojo miner will be unavailable. You can still enter our giveaway and browse our website but the actual miner and mobile app are not resolving to the correct domain.
Because of the Christmas holidays, we expect to wait a while for a response from the domain registrar. We apologize for the inconvenience. Stay tuned here for updates.
It is incredibly unfortunate that this has happened during our holiday promotions and exchange rate raise. To make up for the exchange rate loss, once we get the mobile app working again the increased exchange rate will continue for another week no matter what.
The following MineMojo services are still operational:
MineMojo Blog
Chatroom (Admins will be in this chatroom to answer questions)
Helpdesk (however [email protected] will not be available, so instead send your messages directly via the support desk)

Information about Brave Browser offer
This blog update contains information about the Brave browser offer. Please read this if you have received a rejected offer completion claim as it has the information as to why.
MineMojo offers is our own offerwall where we contact partners directly to pay you the highest rates possible. While there are less offers than other larger offerwalls, they always pay much more. You can view the offerwall at offers.minemojo.com.
One of the offers that has been available for a little over a month now is the ‘Brave Browser’ promotion offer. Users who are interested in using a new browser (the Brave Browser) are paid $2USD via PayPal or Coinbase after using it regularly for 30 days.
Recently, since it has been over 30 days from the offer publishing date, many users have been claiming the Brave Browser offer reward but we have been unable to approve the offer claims. This is due to the fact that Brave has not confirmed any offer completions yet, so we haven’t been paid.
As you can see in the screenshot below, there are 2 panels on the right hand side in the referral promo box. One says “downloaded” and one says “confirmed”
The downloaded count is the number of people who have started the offer, i.e. the number of people who have downloaded Brave. The confirmed count is the number of people who have completed the offer requirements (use daily for 30 days) and as you can see Brave hasn’t reported any completions to us yet, which is concerning and confusing given that it has been over a month and many users have shown us that they have been using Brave.
Brave is a well-known trusted company, so we do trust that they will pay the referral commission eventually, and then after we are paid we will be able to pay users who have completed the offer. But until then unfortunately we have no way to pay all the users claiming the reward since we have no funds from Brave.
This blog post is just a small update for anyone wondering why their offer claim was rejected. We will post another update on this blog as soon as offer completions start getting approved, so please do not spam our support email or the offer completion claim form as that just clogs up our system with rejected claims.
Thank you for reading, we sincerely hope Brave will pay us soon because we need some of the funds too anyway.
UPDATE as of 11/11/2018: We have just received and paid out our first offer confirmation! Hopefully others will follow.
UPDATE as of 11/23/2018: We have just seen an additional offer confirmation, it seems there must just be a long delay in confirmations but they are still coming through.

FAQ and upcoming updates
Hi all, we’ve recently been seeing a few common questions from people both on the helpdesk and miner chat, so we’re going to take some time to just answer some of the most frequent questions in a blog post. We’re also going to show some of the upcoming features available in the near future!
Part 1: FAQ
Q: I keep getting network connection issues Sometimes our API servers restart about once a week to clear caches and fix bugs. Although they're only down for about 10 seconds, anyone mining via the app will have their device kicked offline with an error message until they relaunch it. Because of this we're working on adding an auto-reconnect feature that will simply continue mining if the internet connection to the server returns within 3 minutes.
Q: I want to support you, but there are no video ads. Sometimes you will get an error saying there are no ads available when watching an ad on the “Support Us” page or verifying a Coinbase payout. Sometimes Google ads simply run out, because the availability of advertisements depends on your location, device, app history, and other factors. For example, a user in the United States will likely see more ads than a user in the UK, because more advertisers will be targeting US visitors than UK visitors. The best thing to do is just to wait a while for new ads to become available.
Q: Can I autoplay support ads? Autoplay video ads are not allowed by the Google advertising terms. The reason we get paid from ads is because advertisers pay to have people see their product - why would someone pay money to have their ad watched by nobody, when they could pay to have it seen by real, active people instead.
Part 2: Features in development
Here is a brief list of features we expect to implement in the near future (in mobile app development and programming in general, the “near future” is considered to be anywhere between 1 month and 1 year)
Payments to any BTC wallet address. There will have to be a minimum payout amount however there will be no fee. And we will keep Coinbase and PayPal payments just the way they are
A Play-store complaint version of the app. Since Google Play doesn’t allow mining apps anymore, we are working on a limited version which will just allow you to sign up/login to a MineMojo account, check your balance, use the chatroom, and other general features. To mine you will still need to download the full version of the app via our website for free.
A full web-app for desktop and iOS which will allow you to login, mine, check balances, use the chatroom, and hopefully even withdraw. It will be able to run in a regular browser too using Javascript, CSS and HTML code with no extensions required!
These are the only features we have really confirmed and started working on so far however we will always be adding new features, so check back here regularly for updates! Thanks for reading!

We need your help to keep rates high
Hi everyone! This is just a quick update for MineMojo - you may have noticed that the exchange rates have started to drop recently. This is because we have now paid out all old earnings and are now returning the rates to normal.
Right now we pay about $6USD daily via Coinbase, but we’re only earning about $0.80USD daily via mining and advertising revenue combined. As you may realize, this is not sustainable and we will soon have to dramatically decrease the exchange rate to avoid having to shut down.
For now we will do our best to keep the rates high, however we need your help. Watching ads via the “Support Us” page greatly helps us so if you can, please consider watching some ads to support our development to keep the rates high. Also, if you see an ad for something you’re interested in, clicking the ad will also give us some revenue. However, do not spam click ads that you aren’t really interested in just to help us, as this is against Google’s Advertising Terms, and we will not be compensated for spam clicks.
If our ad revenue or mining revenue goes back up after posting this message we will not have to worry about the exchange rates, however if it continues to drop there will be reductions. Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for reading.

PayPal Payments are here!
Hey everyone! Just a quick update today but MineMojo now supports payments to both Coinbase wallets and PayPal! Just a few minutes ago we released version 2.1.1, which included the ability to receive payments to PayPal wallets!
The minimum payment limit for PayPal is just $2 USD, and payments process within 24 hours of requesting them! To make a payment to your PayPal account, simply open MineMojo version 2.1 or above (you can download it at minemojo.com/download) and select “PayPal” when you enter the withdraw earnings page. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
PayPal exchange rates are calculated using CoinDesk’s API for USD/BTC conversions. This means that the rates are subject to change at any time when the Bitcoin price goes up or down.
Email our support team ([email protected]) if you have any questions or concerns!

MineMojo is here!
If you’ve been keeping up to date with our blog posts recently you’ll know that a while ago we experienced a security issue and had all user balances hacked and reset. Since then, we’ve spent a few months working hard to upgrade our security systems and making sure the app is 100% ready for public release.
We also took the time to add loads of other new features to the app - including a complete rebrand from the unoriginal “Mobile Miner” to our new name, MineMojo! The new MineMojo app has loads of new features such as custom themes, email/password authentication and many UI changes.
Since user balances were completely reset, and there’s no way for us to tell who mined what in the past versions of MineMojo (Mobile Miner) we are instead dramatically increasing the exchange rate for the first few weeks of launch, until all the old earnings have been completely paid out. This means people with more powerful devices have a chance to earn more than those who have slower devices, instead of just giving everyone with an account the same amount. - so if you’re planning on using MineMojo, the sooner the better!
Unfortunately it seems that Google Play now bans all crypto mining apps, so we have chosen to continue self-hosting our APK on our website minemojo.com - We’re also working on a play store-compliant version of the app which will only allow you to manage your account and check statistics, but not mine. This will help us acquire new users from organic Google Play searches, who will hopefully then start using the miner app available via our website as well.
If you’d like to check out all the new features of MineMojo, head to minemojo.com/download to get the APK file, and write a review on the bottom of the page if you’re happy with the new updates! If you’ve got any questions or concerns, send an email to [email protected] and we should get back to you within 1 business day (usually even quicker!)
Thanks for your continued support!

What’s happening?
Hey guys! We’re just going to take some time to answer some common questions we receive via our support portal and/or email
First of all, if you did email us don’t be surprised if you don’t get a reply very quickly as we do not have any dedicated support staff at the moment, so support emails are replied to by the developers in their free time. In future we will be re-hiring support staff though. Click “keep reading” below to view the answers
How long until the relaunch? You said a few weeks over a month ago
Welcome to the wonderful world of software development - where days turn into weeks which turn into months which can turn into years. If you’ve got recent experience in programming you’ll probably know how projects can be delayed many times throughout their development. It even happened to us before we launched! We’re working as hard as we can, but with the limited funding we have it’s bound to take longer than expected. Please be patient and bear with us!
I think this is a scam and you weren’t hacked - where’s my satoshi?
While we do still have ALL of the earnings from the previous app versions, the hack destroyed all of our user data. Basically, say we have $100 - but we can’t tell who has what portion of the money! We don’t want to pay everyone the exact same amount (because then people who earned $20 and people who earned $0.01 would both get the same amount) so instead when we relaunch we will be increasing the exchange rate to pay back all the earnings from previous periods. We haven’t spent them yet, and are reserving them for this very purpose.
I can’t find the MineMojo APK or the app doesn’t work
We are currently in development, so all app functions are suspended. There is no APK for the new MineMojo yet but as soon as it is released we will be updating our website and even trying to get back onto the Play Store. Also, PLEASE NOTE that ANY hashes you mine during this period on the website will NOT count towards your balance after the update - even if you enter your email!
Those are the main questions we’re getting at the moment. We’ll update this blog whenever any important updates come up but for now we’re just spending our time working on the app.
Check out the miner chatroom for updates more regularly, and to chat about MineMojo with other users.

Our relaunch plan
This is a small update - make sure you read the last few blog posts first!
Hello everyone, we’re glad to announce that we’re almost ready to relaunch! There are just a few more things to finish and implement but we expect to be ready within a week! In this blog post we’ll talk about some of the features and changes the new update will have, and what we hope to further add in the future.
Firstly, Mobile Miner is being renamed to MineMojo. We’ve already purchased the domain name and are working on migrating our content at the moment. The website is very similar to the old one, but we do plan on improving it in future, such as adding a balance checker to the site as well as the app!
The MineMojo app now features many new settings, such as a theme selector which comes with 4 built in themes AND a theme creator, so you can edit the app colors yourself!
We’ve also greatly improved the main miner script and design - it looks quite similar to the old one but doesn’t have as many bugs or glitches. Overall it’s much more efficient and easier to use.
And of course, we’re greatly improving security so the hack that happened before won’t happen again. Unfortunately user data was reset so any earnings and app settings from previous versions will be gone. We hope we can relaunch without too many issues and become a trusted cross-platform mining app! We’ll also try to put the app back on the Play Store
Stay tuned for more details!

We're NOT shutting down...
...but we need your help.
This looks like a pretty long read. But please read this entire post!
If you read the previous blog post, you’ll remember that we were considering simply shutting down following a recent security breach that caused user balances to be reset. We just didn’t want to deal with the drama surrounding the app and felt that it would be a good idea to stop right then.
If we didn’t shut down, the app would relaunch but everyone's balances will still be gone anyway, so they will have to start from scratch. We just think it's more convenient to shutdown because we don't see a point in which we'll get back to our old user numbers, so the app won't be very profitable and we'll probably end up shutting it down anyway
However, after posting a poll that asked users if they thought we should shut down or continue development, the results quite surprised us. At first, most people were voting to shut down the app. But after a few days we started seeing more and more people supporting us and saying that we should continue, and that the app shouldn’t shut down because of this.
So we’ve decided to give it another go. This is a very big risk for us, because we’re going to have to invest a lot of time and money that we don’t really have into getting the app running again. If the old users don’t come back, and we can’t get any new users, it will be an incredible loss for our development team and future hopes of creating any new projects.
We’re running very low on funds, and are not asking for donations. What we do need is some people to help with application development to improve the security. We don’t have the money to hire expensive security experts so this is our best option if we want the app to survive.
We understand that many people do not want to take unpaid or very low paid work, but if we are able to get the app back to the point it was at before we will be able to compensate anyone working on this project in the future. What we’re looking for is someone who has experience programming a web application (any language) that is able to run server-side HTTP GET and HTTP POST requests.
For example, the client side (app/website) calls a URL hosted on our server (example.com/serverpost?data=data) that then runs a GET or POST request on the server-side, and returns the response through that same URL (instead of calling the database or API directly, such as api.example.com/exampleapi?data1=123&data2=content&data3=data)
We are not experienced developers, so to people who are this may sound necessary or stupid that we were not doing it before (exactly, you’re correct!) however if we want the app to continue we’re going to need people to help with building this script.
If you believe you are able to help us with this task, and would like to get more information, please contact us at business [at] tweakly [dot] net! If we’re unable to get help from some of you, and we can’t finish writing the script ourselves with the little funding we have, we’ll just shut down the app like we were planning to in the future.
Note: If you have already built a script like this that does what we are suggesting before (such as python or php) and it would be possible to let us use it, please also contact the email listed above with a demo of your script. Again, we cannot pay much right now but would be willing to purchase your script if the user count comes back up. Thank you.

Considering shutting down
We want user input on this decision and a poll is included in this post.
If you haven’t already, you should read this post first.
Recently we’ve been getting many borderline abusive emails from people, including people who used to be supportive of the app. We don’t have funds to hire many security experts since we only had good ad revenue for around a week and dramatically underestimated the amount of people who would request payments so quickly. Additionally, it costs us money to pay customer support representatives to respond to emails, especially the abusive and harassing ones.
We’ve had so many issues recently, such as:
Our original hosting account being suspended due to too much traffic, and then 2 other hosting companies doing the same
Random bugs causing the app to fail on launch with no way to notify users why it wasn’t working, so they would just stop using it
The app being removed from the Google Play store because of fake reports from users claiming it was a scam (even after payments worked)
Our ad revenue being cut off by Google because of the Play Store account strike
Exchange rates dropping and failing to come back up because of major drops in active mobile users
The security breach resetting account info that happened due to us rushing the payment system, because we were being threatened by users to have it completed sooner.
We wanted to build an app that could help beginners get into crypto mining but have had so much harassment, combine that with the fact that we’re not experienced developers (just friends with not much prior experience) we just can’t handle this much longer.
Since we’re not on the play store anymore, and most of our original users have left, we don’t see a point in which we’ll be able to start the app from scratch again. We really don’t want to do this but we think it could be our only option.
Right now we’re considering shutting down all future development of the Mobile Miner app to focus on other projects to improve our development skills. If we do this, we may come back and rebuild the app in the future, although that seems unlikely. Please vote in this poll to help us make a decision.

Updates on the recent security breach
Please read the full post as it contains important information that requires context on the situation.
On the 21st of May we were notified of many issues with checking account balances. Some users reported that balances were reset to 0 or lowered, others reported that they had an error stating their email wasn’t found in the system. We immediately published a help center article explaining that we were aware of the issue and were finding the source of the problem.
Upon further investigation we have determined that, partly due to poor security on our part, somebody using the app was able to acquire a login key and access user data. No user information was compromised, however all data on user balances was destroyed, including any backups. Additionally, the attack was running continually, so even new hashes were being automatically deleted.
No funds were stolen from any of our accounts, which means we still have the earnings from the miner. The issue is that now we do not know who mined what, so we cannot fairly pay users for what they earned. We have come to the conclusion that the goal of the breach was most likely to just cause drama among users and developers, and there was no other plan to steal any funds.
We have attempted to recover the data but for now we believe that it is completely destroyed. As stated in our terms of service last updated on the 5th of May, We will always do our best to send funds that have been lost but offer no guarantee.
As a small team of developers, we have never made an app of this scale, and were not completely prepared for anything like this to happen. We will be taking a few weeks to work on the security of the app, so that this never happens again. During this time the app will be unavailable to use and you will be shown an error message with a link to this article when attempting to launch it. You can still use the website to mine and use the chatroom however please be aware it is possible that any mining profits during this period will not be available after the launch.
We estimate 2–3 weeks for our work, and after we believe that the security is improved so much that this wouldn’t be possible again we will re-launch the app as a fresh start. On the first week of our launch, we will greatly raise the exchange rate so that we will have paid out all earnings from the previous versions. Then the rate will return to normal, based on calculations for our earnings for the day.
Anyone who signed up to payment update emails in the early Beta versions of the app will receive an email once the app relaunches. If you would not like to receive this email you can click the unsubscribe link in the footer of any other email from us. We also plan to allow newer users to sign up to a mailing list for updates on this issue, once that is ready we will put a link to signup on our website.
If you have any questions you may contact our support team at [email protected]. We apologize greatly for this error and hope that we will be able to relaunch without too much drama.
While we do not expect donations at this time, some users have asked and if you wish to donate to our development team (we’re low on cash right now due to all the issues recently) you can use PayPal or Coinbase to send any currency to [email protected]. Donations will go towards improving our security faster, and if we have funds left after the relaunch they will be used to help pay users at a higher exchange rate.
Thank you for reading.
