How to Save Water in Rainy Season

As we know that our earth’s freshwater resources are very limited and this increasing population is creating more trouble over it. Before it converts into wastewater, we should conserve it for future with the help of various effective water saving techniques. Conserving rainwater for future purpose not only control the excess use of ground water but also reduce your electricity bills. Rain water that you collect can be used for multi purposes; to water your garden, for car wash, for laundry purpose and for bathing too. You can use purified rain water for drinking also.

There are several methods for collecting and saving rain water:

Create a Rainwater Garden

This method of collecting rainwater pushes the water directly to your garden from the narrow lanes. But when you are opting this method for harvesting, you can’t use the water for any other purpose. This method is perfect for providing your plants the perfect amount of water without any hustle.

Replace Downspouts with Rain Chain

You can go for a rain chain rather than opting downspout to channel rain from the roof into watering cans, rain barrels and many other collection systems. This method of collecting rain water is little dirty as the water we collect, gets contaminated along the way.

Set Water Bowl Outside
