Its playoff time now we have the second seed in the section playoffs we win are first game pretty easily over a bad team 5-1 then we play a top 15 team are second game which has beaten us in the past the rink was filled and it was loud so loud that I actually thought the game started before we went out for warm us even place was packed and it was a good game but we dominated them in a 4-0 win and I had a 25 save shutout which feels great to get that late in a season.

section final the #1 vs #3 team in the state. Playing at a historic rink in a win or go home game the tickets for this game sold out in 4 minuets the place was packed student sections filled rows 30 mins before puck drop the best team in the state vs the underdogs, we were the underdogs. the game starts the rink is bouncing we give up a goal 2 minutes in and that was the only scoring for the 1st period, after the first we settle into the game regroup and we come out for period 2 and we found our game we were rolling we score early making it 1-1 then I get an assist making it 2-1 us right after that we get another one 3 goals in about 5 minuets and makes it 3-1 us we go into the 3rd period with the 2 goal lead about 7 mines let in the 3rd period we end up getting scored on then moments later it was 3-3 the momentum shifted we were now battling back trying not to lose this game it goes into overtime chances back and forth in overtime but no winner double overtime now 1 minuet into the 2nd overtime the underdogs story is complete and we pull of the greatest upset and the rink is in shock and people are screaming, celebrating, and crying we just punched our ticket to the minnesota state high school boys hockey class AA tournament.

The big decision was that I was going to stay and wait the rest of the 4 weeks and come back with 4 regular season games left and pay every game from that point. he had 10 games in those 4 weeks and the team went 8-2 which was pretty good had some pretty big wins during that stretch, and it was hard for me to have only played 2 games in a full season but the day finally came the wait was finally over and I could finally play hockey after 2 months of not playing it was time. the moment I made my return the team turned up another level we were dominating teams we won my first game back 8-1 but since I came back we had to forfeit the 2 games I played earlier that year which added to losses to our recorded which really sucked. but I was back and could finally play. In the last 4 regular season games I played we won all 4 beating 2 really strong teams. but now it was time for playoffs

Later that night when I finally get back home we still haven't heard anything weather or not I've been cleared to play or not I'm laying in bed ready to fall asleep then my dad comes running into my room saying i've got bad news and from their I immediately connected the dots and realized that if I wanted to win a state champion chip and play high school hockey I would have to wait another month before I could play a game leaving only 4 regular season games left before playoffs. I thought to my self made a pros and cons list of on weather or no it should wait out the 4 weeks or go play junior hockey, I decided I was going to leave I had my bags packed got in touch with a billet got in touch with with team I was gonna go to, but something just felt weird about leaving I had great friends brothers and I felt I wasn't quiet ready to leave them behind even tho I knew that junior hockey was the best for me so I talked to my new coach talked to my old coaches and made a big decision.

In the 4 weeks we only play 4 games so that's why we decided to wait because I'm not missing that many games in the 4 games we go 3-1 in them but lose to a team in our section that we will eventually have to play later on, The 4 weeks is up its the long awaited day that the full entire school and all my teammates have been waiting for we get done with practice we have a game the next day I go into coaches office hopefully we hear thee good news that I can finally play or else I'm being sent off and playing junior hockey which isn't a bad backup plan in terms of development and getting looks from colleges I wouldn't gotten way more looks from colleges if I were playing junior hockey instead of high school hockey. during my 4 weeks off we had Christmas break so we weren't having practices or games during that time anyway so it made the 4 weeks go by even quicker, a few ushl teams reached out to me during that time 4 of them to be exact the USHL is the top junior hockey league in the United States and about 95% of its players go on to play division 1 hockey. So if I wasn't cleared on that day I would've been fine going to play extremely high-end hockey anyways. after my meeting with the coaches when we thought we were gonna find out if I could play I walked out not hearing an answer yet and we still had to wait all of my teammates were still in the locker room waiting for the answer this was a couple hours after practice had ended.

after the strange week of not being able to play I'm at school all my new friends that don't play hockey are asking me like what is going on with you and I just tell them that I still haven't been given an explanation but they wont let me play. but later on that week I get called down to the school office with the new athletic director and we talk for a little bit I suspect me not being able to play has something to do with him so we talk and eventually he tells me what's going on and that I cant play for 8 full weeks. but he tried to mention that in 4 weeks the state would talk about my transfer and could possibly overturn the 8 week suspension. After all that I get to the rink and tell my coaches and they are pissed about it and we make a plan which is wait the 4 weeks and if they don't change the suspension then go leave and find a new junior hockey team

So after having my first 2 games of the year and we start the year off 4-0 as a team. the team is feeling really good and really confident one day after practice we are going into a pretty easy game week playing 2 bad teams then a really good team at the end of the week, I get called into coaches office once again and get bad news. that I am once again suspended and cant play but we are told that it should be fixed by Wednesday so that I can play Thursday Saturday so I'm really only missing 1 game. so I thought okay its only 1 game not a big deal and against a not so great team we end up winning that game 10-1 just a total blow out. So now it's Wednesday after practice talking with my coaches once again and they say "we haven't heard anything yet so we think that means you cant play" we played another bad team so I was okay with it once again. we won 10-2 this time another blow out. Now it's Saturday and we playing a top 5 team in the state and I still haven't heard anything new so I still cant play in this one either which really sucks cause I'm playing against some of my friends and we always end up having a really good game so it sucks that I cant play in it. the game doesn't go so well for us we end up losing badly 5-1

now we are entering the week of games 3,4 o the year my transfer problems have been solved I've been feeling good in practice I'm ready to go. my first game back we end up playing a top 20 team and we just absolutely roll them I felt like I played okay, I hold my self to high standards so I wasn't really happy in the moment but the good thing about hockey is that if you won the game stats don't matter and that was the case. so that was game 3 so we were 3-0 and now we are on to game 4 which we play a real solid team which they are also 3-0 we start off really good scoring early then we get another one later in the period to make the game 2-0 after the first period. I was feeling good after the first period I did my job made some sick saves we go into the second period I continue to do my thing and we eventually score another 1 so now its 3-0 us after the second period. Now we are going out for the 3rd period it was the same story I was feeling good made some big saves also got a little puck luck and ended the game making 24 saves having my first shutout with my new school.

So when I'm at the rink waiting for my game and get on a call and realize I cant play I start questioning if this was even real, so as I'm walking back to the locker room I see my coach in the hallway and he pulled me aside and said the same thing confirming that it was indeed true. Before we head on the bus all my teammates and I are inn the locker room and coach announces to everyone what happened and the look on everyone's face is like what the flip. everyone gets a bad feeling but at the same time everyone has a game to play so they quickly fix themselves up, we head on the bus and after a little bit we all get to the rink and start having warm ups game goes by we win it was a close game but we win which is all that matters. Later on in the week we have another game I was still ineligible and couldn't play it was are second game of the year now and about 5 minuets before we load the bus to head out I get a call that my transfered has been cleared for the 2nd time now so I'm excited final get to play this year we were playing a bad team so I didn't get to even play that game. but good news I could finally play the transfer stuff had finally gone away...

My first blog. 1/1

This year has been a really really strange year for me. I started high school in the town that I've spent all my life in, but over the summer I was thinking that maybe I need to switch something up and go experience a different style and open a door to more new fun opportunities. So I transfered high schools about 2 months into my senior year. I transfered high schools for hockey a sport I've played my whole life and its all I want to do is play hockey. so I transfered a week before the season started and thought that everything was going great met a lot of new people that are now friends for a life time absolutely everything was perfect. the practices were going well I was having a great time hanging out with my new teammates. then about 3 weeks later we had are first game I was set to play in it ready to go I was at the rink packing my gear because it was a road game, had my headphones on and was trying to prepare mentally then all the sudden I get a text from my dad and he says "call me" I thought well I have a game to play it cant be that important so I just pushed it off and didn't respond. then 5 minuets later he texts me back and says "your not playing" then I was like what are you saying and called him. long story short I was told I couldn't play today because I transfered and we haven't filled out all the paperwork yet...
