Between 1973 and 1993 two artists, Rosey and Andy Priestman produced their work together at Minniwick Pottery in a place of great natural beauty surrounded by woods and forests looking up to the Southern Uplands of Southwest Scotland. Their work drew inspiration from many sources including ancient East Asian and more contemporary British studio pottery. The attention to detail and refinement in throwing and development of glazes combined with the fluidity of the decoration resulted in a unique style of high-fired pottery. minniwickpotsfirstera is a contemporary space in which to present their work and celebrate its accomplishment. Today Minniwick Pottery continues under new artistic directions https://www.instagram.com/minniwick/ http://andypriestman.tumblr.com/ http://gardemeles.blogspot.co.uk/
