Artist Notes: This kicked my butt to the moon and back and honestly, it's entirely Toshinori's fault. Nevertheless, it ended up okay! And I do believe the fic alunaar wrote will kick your hearts as well, ahaha!

Artist Notes: I hadn't worked with pencils in literal years. Shading takes so long... but it's so rewarding. The background, on the other hand, while it made me cackle at how smart I was being (lol) it also gave me bad wrist and finger pain so... I am so glad I was given the chance, since aavo wanted a traditional piece to go with her piece, with, by the way is awesome but very sad. Izuku suffers. For this, I actually hunted down brain pictures, so this should be mostly anatomically correct. I've had training in sci-illus for some reason after all!! The katakana onomatopeia in the background are ブツブツ mutter-mutter, like Izuku does in the manga; but look carefully and in negative space you'll find しーん shi-n, the sound of silence itself.

final version of this sketch that took way too long and that i am ... dubious about. faces, skinny people, uhm, not... not drawn well... Used a smaller brush, so there's a lot of details I'm not sure can be seen without clicking it for higher res.

Oh well. Angel from Borderlands 2! Somehow my favorite character.

!! Ah, you noticed! Yes, that was the intention. Originally, I thought about putting it on her chest over her heart/bile sac, but ... it would be too challenging a drawing and I liked the imagery of her carrying it on her back. Plus, when I thought about the practicality of the actual branding ceremony, it made sense in my head for her to kneel before Belos while getting the mark transferred. TBH I still like the frontal version, and I had ideas for it, but this one was easier to draw.

It absolutely has nasty uses. "grabbing your heart" "magic sealing" "pain time" style

When you can't get an angsty idea out of your head- Some people have already noticed Lilith lacks any mark on her wrist, but she was part of the coven, so where is it? Wellll... maybe as the leader she got her mark moved. Belos sounds exactly like the sort of guy that makes it seem like suuuch an honour that you have his symbol burned all over your back- such devotion- such purity of purpose! (yikes)

Look, the Emperor's coven is both a cult and the military arm of the Boiling Isles (same thing really) and I think Lilith is going to slowly be realizing just how bad they were to its own members (too) now that she's in a positive environment. There's going to be a lot to unlearn and to unpack.

Bonus points for the mental image of Eda rolling up her sleeves and getting ready to storm a bitch's castle.

Artist Notes: I am so glad I participated in this. I got to put some real effort in this and worked in a new style (that I will keep working on). There's been so much work put into this, honestly, that much anatomy wasn't necessary when the lineart and coloring style erase most of it. STILL what's done is done and Todoroki Shouto deserves some effort (: Image size is actually gigantic, but the details are hopefully worth it! Read the fic too, Oopa has been wonderful to work with despite my lack of communication skills P: !!

Tear Pain and Forest's Teardrop, sword and staff of Filvis and Lefiya respectively. Danmachi. I find it ... funny ... that both weapons have names related to crying. It's poetic that Lefiya's probably going to inherit both Tear Pain and Guardian's White Torch, which says a lot about where she'll be in life when/if SO13 eventually comes out. *Slaps Ship* These bad girls can fit so much angst in it!!
