In episode one of this season, Chat Noir showed great initiative- pushing Ladybug out of the way when she was hit by Truth, coming up with a great plan to ensure she wouldn’t reveal anything when she had to take the muzzle off. I was happy to see him being portrayed as the equal he is instead of comedic relief. I hoped that it would set the tone for the rest of the season/series but obviously that was not the case. The creators gave us ONE episode of him being so extremely vital to the deakumatization and another episode revolving Adrien’s POV because they intended to significantly decrease his involvement after that.

Beautiful execution on their part. I’m obviously disheartened to see our cat boy feeling the effects of exclusion now that Alya knows, but episodes one and two being about Adrien/Chat Noir make so much more sense now. I was naive to think they had just decided to prioritize him more and give us more powerful Chat Noir/Adrien content. I’m excited to see what’s next.

Miraculous Ladybug Avatar: The Last Airbender AU!

I only started this out as a quick fun idea, but it ended up getting way, wayyy more fleshed out than I expected, and it was so much fun thinking how the MLB characters would work int he Avatar world. One thing I wish I could've made work are the ethnicities, but MLB has European characters, when Avatar has mainly Asian ethnicities.

Regardless here's the story, if you're all interested:

Marinette lives in Ba Sing Se, the main city with her parents. They lived in the Southern Air Temple before being raided by the Fire Nation and most of the air monks had died. Ba Sing Se being the safest location, Marinette's parents decided that's where they will hide their child, who they discovered was the Avatar through the relics test.

Unfortunately, Marinette's parents were far too protective of her, and didn't want her to learn the other elements, as they were certain she would get captured by the fire nation that was slowly corrupting the political leaders of Ba Sing Se. This is why they enrolled her in a non-bending school, where she met Alya. Marinette learnt at school of the previous avatars and how they brought balance to the world, and confided in Alya that she knew that it was her calling to learn the four elements.

While she had mastered air, being practically born with it, she decided to find an individual who could teach her one of the other elements. She found a relaxed boy by the name of Nino, who taught her earth-bending, which she managed to learn rather immediately.

Nino informed her that he knew of a certain 'Chat-Noir', an outcast of the Fire Kingdom who roamed Ba Sing Se at night and was a notorious 'robin hood' type. Marinette finally encounters this masked hero, and convinces him to teach her fire-bending. He tells nothing about himself, and Marinette is left to wonder who he is. Also he has a stray pigcat who eats cheese and is named Plagg. Alya, when she hears of this guy is rather worried, but after having built a strange friendship with Chat-Noir, Marinette trusts him fully, and tells Alya that there's nothing to worry about.

In the coming few days, Chat-Noir rarely showed up, and told Marinette he wouldn't be around anymore. This was because Chat-Noir was really Adrien Agreste, the son of the Fire Lord, and was made to participate in the Fire Kingdom Festival in Ba Sing Se for the next five days. During this festival, Marinette falls in love with the prince, and is all she can think about. She is also wracked with guilt that she likes someone associated with the evil Fire Lord.

Adrien discovers that many of the Fire Kingdom political leaders have found out that the avatar is in Ba Sing Se, and that it is a girl named Marinette. Worried for her safety, Adrien ditches the final night of the festival in which he was supposed to give a speech to the rest of Ba Sing Se to tell Marinette to leave the continent immediately and travel towards the northern water tribe and learn water-bending with Luka, the final element.

Marinette leaves the continent as Chat-Noir said, but also find out that the prince had suddenly gone missing from the fire festival.

She meets up with Luka, and that's about as far as I felt like going.

Now that was very, very long, thanks for reading it all if you did, but if anyone wants to make a fanfic out of this, this is free real-estate, I'm probs not gonna make a fanfic out of this. I might continue the story if I'm inspired though, or even change some story bits.

Anyway, this was really, really fun, and I kinda wanna make more AUs for other shows sooo...hope you liked this.

My comfort show is becoming slightly less comforting. 🥲🤠

I am scared for the prospects of a rift in LadyNoir. An outcome of this could be Chat Blanc 2, but that’s too obvious. If not Chat Blanc, maybe he’ll be akumatized into something else. Perhaps something similar to Truth because he wants to know her identity and is tired of the secrets. Maybe something where he gets the powers of all Miraculous so that ladybug doesn’t need them anymore and can solely rely on him?

Maybe he’ll go rogue because of it?? In Furious Fu, the Celestial Gaurdian specified that he was trained to battle miraculous holders that haven gone rogue, so that could be foreshadowing 👀

Idk, I’m interested and very scared at the same time to see what’s coming next.

Zoé's introduction showcases some of Marinette's character growth:

With Adrien, she was like, “oh god, another Chloé”, until the umbrella scene

With Kagami, she was much more hesitant. “Another Chloé or another Adrien?”, was her approach, and she meandered a bit until Ikari Gozen

With Zoé, Marinette has learned her lesson. Her first thought is “Another Adrien and/or Kagami!”, even though she has what appears to be heaps of literal evidence to the contrary, and she’s not going to let anything stop her.

She really is growing up.
