I just realize you're the only person who point out that Felix and Kagami would be just as in the wrong for hiding the truth from Adrien. Most people I know puts the blame entirely on Marinette and like yeah, I get it it's really bad she would keep something like that a secret from her boyfriend but at the same time how do you deal with that big of a burden?

If it were up to me, I'd make her deal with it the same way like in the Dragon Prince with how Rayla tries to tell Callum and Ezran about their dad being dead but idk, maybe it's not the same with Adrien so it's unfair.

I'm just irritated at people who blame Marinette just cuz she's her gf and not at the adults like Nathalie or Amelie, Marinette's a child, what about Felix and Kagami? They care about Adrien too right?

Yep, it's somehow all Marinette's fault even though Felix knew for all of season five. He knew before then, too, but at least you could argue that he was fearing for his life in previous seasons. As soon as he got the peacock? No excuse. Especially since he got the peacock by trading away Adrien's freedom. A thing he arguably didn't even need to do since I don't think anyone believes that Gabriel would have said, "No" to only getting all of the miraculous. Felix just offers up the ring without even waiting for Gabriel to ask for it. A master negotiator this boy is not.

To add even more insult to injury, season five gives Felix a subplot about informing freaking Kagami and faking her amok. A girl he literally just met gets the treatment that Felix arguably owes to Adrien after all the shit Felix has put him through. You can't even argue that Felix did it because Tomoe isn't a threat on the scale of Gabriel. She's literally a co-conspirator in season five and Felix knows that because Kagami wouldn't be a sentimonster if Tomoe wasn't involved. And Tomoe has always been written as far more hands-on than Gabriel when it comes to controlling her kid, so this isn't even a case of Felix picking the easier target. He doesn't care about easy targets or subterfuge since he, you know, kidnaps Kagami in front of her mother?

But does anyone in the fandom seem to acknowledge that? No and I really don't get it. If hate must be assigned to a character and not the writers, then Felix deserves so much more hate than Marinette.

Kagami isn't innocent either. She knew the truth for about half of the season and yet she doesn't seem to care about telling Adrien. At the same time, she's fine outing Ladybug's secret identity and fine telling Marinette everything, none of which is done in the name of justice. Kagami does it all for purely selfish reasons. To me, this was as much of a character assassination as the whole Kagami believing Lila thing even though Kagami should know the truth about Lila after the Oni-chan incident (Lila faking the kissing picture and texting it to Adrien's contacts).

Then there's Nathalie. In my opinion, Nathalie's redemption is a joke and one of the key reasons for that is how little she cares about actually saving Adrien. At no point does she tell him the truth even though she knows she's dying. She could have very easily died much sooner than the final, leaving Adrien to obey Gabriel's commands, never knowing that he was being controlled. She doesn't even try to find someone else to guard Adrien's ring. She just maintains the status quo and pretends that everything is fine while occasionally asking Gabriel to pretty please change his mind and think of Adrien? Please?

Lady, you literally pinned this man to a table at the start of the season and you are his second in command. You know all his secrets. You have access to everything. You have the power to take him down. You have the power to save Adrien. You are an awful, awful mother figure who put Gabriel's wants above Adrien's needs right up to the very end. Did you even think you had a chance to fire that cross bow or was this just another, "I'm totally helping" feel good moment to assuage your guilty conscious before you died?

And Amelie. Oh, Amelie. If you hate what Colt did to your son, then why are you idly standing by while Gabriel does the same thing to your nephew? You know that Felix has the peacock, so he's safe from being snapped. Why aren't you encouraging him to help Adrien? Or, if you want to keep protecting Felix, then why don't YOU go to Ladybug and Chat Noir and tell them that Gabriel is behind everything? Surely you have to know that Felix isn't safe as long as Gabriel has all those miraculous, right? Gabriel knows that you and your son know everything. A terrorist knows that you're a chink in his armor. Why aren't you terrified by that?

In summary: yeah, Marinette should tell Adrien. It's totally fair to be mad at her. But dear God, she should never have been put in a position where she needed to tell him because one of these four should have done it long before the end of season five! The fact that Marinette was put in this position in the first place is terrible, nonsensical, illogical writing. So go ahead and be mad at Marinette, but you sure as shit better be just as mad at the people who knew everything and did nothing, leaving a teenage girl to face it all alone while bearing the safety of the world on her shoulders.

Apparently in Revelation akumatized Lila brainwashes Nathalie into revealing all Gabriel's secrets to her : the Grimoire stuff, all the heroes' identities he knows of, the secret to the Alliance Rings, the senti stuff regarding Adrien, Felix and Kagami and even his old name before he married Emilie (Gabi Asseti or something like that). She also finds out about his Cataclysm wound and she outright says that she's waiting for him to die so she can steal his Miraculous lmao.

YOUR BOYFRIEND WAS BY FAR YOUR FAVORITE PERSON. You always felt the safest and happiest in his presence, so after an extremely long day, the only person you really wanted to see was him.

You grab the phone from the receiver on the wall, and dial Eddie's number, which you knew by heart at this point. He always picks up after the first two rings, seen as there was really only one person who normally calls him: you. Once it got to the third ring, you started to panic, but he picked up right after the fourth.

"Hello?" He said, voice groggy inevitably from sleep. "Hi, Eddie," You say, smiling into the phone, "Is it okay if I come over?" You say into the beige phone. "Mhm, yep," He says in his sleep coated voice, trying to process what you said, "Is everything okay, baby?" He says, concern potent in his voice. "m' okay, I'll be there in a bit." You say, but there was something unconvincing in your tone that confused him.

You hastily grabbed your Walkman, earbuds, 'Heart of Glass' by Blondie cassette, threw on your favorite pair of Converse, and hopped on your bike and began pedaling as fast as you can.

The two wheels tossed all of the little pebbles it went over behind them, and you tried to hold it all together. You didn't want to burden Eddie with your problems. As you rode the same few moments played over and over in the back of your mind.

"Freak!" Two girls said, throwing yogurt at you as they walked by. As private as you kept your relationship with Eddie, it was a surprise that so many people knew. You used to be somewhat popular before rumor got out that the two of you were dating, and then you were pushed to the bottom. You never truly cared though; you were happy that you were out of the 'Popular' scene. Even though you were happy with Eddie, that didn't mean you were happy with being bullied because of your relationship. You normally wouldn't care about the comment, but the fact that the two girls threw yogurt on your favorite blouse pissed you off.

"Oh my god, go hangout in celibacy club with your boyfriends that your best friend has probably already fucked," you said, flipping them off. The one day that Eddie wasn't here is the one day you needed him most.

Afterwards, you decided to go to the bathroom to attempt to get the yogurt stains off of your blouse, but the two girls followed you; you're really starting to regret what you said back there.

One of the girls grunted while you watched them walk up behind you in the bathroom mirror, and one of them grabbed the end of your hair and yanked it, pulling you to the floor. "Know your place, filth." The other girl said, as they walked out of the bathroom.

You get so caught up with replaying the events, that you don't even notice that his house is a single house ahead, so you attempt to make the bike stop by making a sharp turn, but it ends up making a loud screech as it scrapes the gravel in front of his trailer. The entire left side of your body scraped against the warm gravel, and your bike fell on top of your legs, causing you to let out an agitated groan. Eddie walks out of the trailer, looking for the commotion, then looks down to see you push the bike off of you.

"(Y/N)?" Eddie calls from a few feet behind you. You let out a sound of confirmation and hear his shuffling feet approach you. "Hey, baby, are you okay?" He asked, pushing the bike further away and helping you up. He attempts to give you a reassuring smile, but you can see the worry in his eyes as they divert down to your leg which had maybe three cuts total. He puts an arm between the crook of your legs and through the space between your arm and your body, to carry you bridal style.

"No, Eddie, 'm okay," You object, voice cracking and not wanting to make him feel obliged to carrying you. "Baby, it's okay." He says, carrying you with ease. You continue to argue with him about how he doesn't have to carry you as he brings you past the living room where his uncle is sitting on his off day. "Hi, (Y/N)." Wayne smiles. He absolutely loves you and how happy you make Eddie. "Hi Mr.-" You begin to say, but then he raises his eyebrows in rebuttal, "Hi Wayne." You correct yourself. He had told you when you first secretly became friends with Eddie in primary school that calling him 'Mr. Munson,' made him feel old.

Eddie walks into his room and sets you down on his bed, not caring about the mess of blood on his sheets. He runs into the bathroom to grab hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, Q-Tips, tissue, Band-Aids, and gauze. The only way he knew how to clean wounds was from the countless times you had cleaned up his wounds from fights. "Baby you don't have to-" You begin to say, but Eddie cuts you off, "Baby, we're way past being polite to one another, okay? Remember last Wednesday?" He smirks, placing both of your legs over his lap and grabbing your hand as he presses the hydrogen peroxide-soaked Q-tip to a scrape on your leg. You seethe, and clench the hand that Eddie wasn't holding so hard that you created little crescent shaped marks in your palm.

Eddie notices and rolls his eyes. "My hand is there for a reason, (Y/N)." He says, making you turn red. "I don't want to hurt you." You say with a slight pout on your face, "You won't." He says, trying to hide his smile that generated from your concern. He tried a different cut which was on your thigh and hurt really bad, causing you to squeeze his hand as hard as you can. He didn't show any sign of pain.

After he gets the final cut, he moves your legs so that they're on either side of him and pulls you onto his lap.

"Hi." He said, moving to kiss the crook of your neck. "Hi," You smile, tilting your head so he has more room. "Are you okay?" He asks, regarding how upset you sounded an hour prior. "m' fine, there's just been some jerks at school recently and they really pissed me off today. But I'm amazing now." You say, smiling at him, and he pulls his head away from your neck. "Awe, I'm sorry about earlier, baby," He frowns. "Don't be," you smile. "Oh, I have something for you!" He says, excitedly. "Awe, Eddie, you don't need to buy me things." You smile, looking into his dark brown eyes.

He walks over to his dresser and pulls out a well-wrapped present.

"Who wrapped that?" You tease, "Me actually," He smiles, holding it out to you. You open up the packaging, and it reveals a hardcover copy of S.E. Hinton's novel, "The Outsiders," Which causes you to gasp. "Eddie!" You practically scream. "This is my favorite book! How did you know?" You ask, on the verge of tears. "You talk about it all the time, (Y/N)." He says, with a relieved smile on his face. He was scared you weren't going to like it, even though it was your favorite novel.

"Oh my god, I love you so much, Edward." You say, putting the book down to walk over to him. "I love you more, (Y/N)." He says, engulfing you in a hug.

After the two of you pull away, you wrap your arms around his neck and begin playing with his hair. He wraps one of his arms around your waist, and gently uses his index finger and thumb to tilt up your mouth. He fills the space between both of your bodies and kisses you slowly. Hungrier than how he usually kisses you, his tounge asking for access, and your mouth granting his request by slightly parting your lips. His tounge grazes your teeth before crashing into yours, you letting out soft moans as you gasp for air. You two jump at the sound of the door opening. Shit.

His uncle walks into the room and the both of you turn to face him and his wide eyes. He mumbles a sorry, and after he leaves, the two of you break out into a fit of laughter.

And just like that, you're fixed.

2) ml Emotion spoilers have finally given my theorising ass vindication bc canon Felix REALLY IS just a messed up teenager who loves his senti brethren 🥲 I knew it and yet he’s even more of a woobie then I thought which gives me so many feelings 😭 Adrien is the cute version of doesn’t know how to socialise but Felix I think is the more realistic one. Such a heartbreaking child’s mentality. Which goes even more to explain the carelessness and juvenility of his previous actions too-- I’m gonna stop before I write a meta in your ask box. Anyway idk what they did to ml writers this season, somehow we just keep winning.

lolol you're right to worry about felix he's so not having a good time right now. like he's fine he's with kagami but lol they're not having a good time. overall i'm glad you liked the chapter ❤️ i had a blast writing it in a state of feverish desperation (i really wanted it done by monday), and it was SO cathartic for ladybug to have her little "kill him. kill him now" moment and not do it. it's so important for her character besties i hope you liked it 👌🏼👌🏼 we're hitting the endgame now so you'll see what happens to the rest of the dream team!
