unrequited saigenos is sooooo funny to me because it really is just pining and yearning. The entire manga is a testament to their pining so when genos actually realises his reverence goes beyond what he had assumed it to be, he’s cornered like a cat who has no choice but to TRY and not act on his impulses.

Its funny in a way that makes him seem sooooo pathetic when he doesn’t even need to do all that. He’s so over-analytical about Saitama’s choice of actions that he doesn’t realise when he starts getting on the receiving end of the same reverence. Hands slotted somewhere on his back/arm/waist when they navigate through the supermarket, sleeping in the same bed, switching between the same shirts and meals cooked to each others preferences.
