i finally got what's been bugging me about my lit manual. bc it's not badly written, at all. it's just that i haven't studied something at this level of italian since my hs days, paradossalmente. and the professor didn't use this language explaining it but since it's so well written with such specific terminology you feel like you can't say it any other way bc anything else would be some kind of rough approximation but my spoken italian of course isn't so high and it did get worse since i got into uni bc professors care a lot less about exposition (both in explaining and examining) but now i am once again faced with a high level of language and i feel like i need to rise to it but im out of practice so i feel like i have to memorize it but i obviously can't bc it's a whole 500 words manual. ugh
#on some level i am euphoric. i missed it. i didn't even know i did until now#on a more practical level im frustrated and embarrassed

non so se è così per tutti i licei/scuole superiori ma con il classico veramente mi sembra di essere sopravvissuta ad una setta. pazzesco
#1 perché il greco/latino etc erano e dovevano essere tutta la mia vita 2 quando parlo con i miei amici del liceo mi sento compresa in un#modo che sono tipo vorrei condividere questa parte di me con le persone che ho conosciuto dopo ma non potranno mai capire solo chi l'ha#passato può capirlo. e poi sono tipo madonna ma era una scuola superiore stai calma#eppure veramente enorme#mi sto spiegando particolarmente male perché sono stanca. ma è assurdo#forse anche perché si faceva anche il sabato. e la domenica eri costretto a studiare/fare i compiti. era come non smettere mai#boh#x

saw off my brother at the airport just today and i already miss him. god
