Why Soriel Works [NOT a rant]

Alright, So I have seen a ton of people attack my favourite ship (Sans x Toriel, which I'm going to call Soriel for the rest of this blog) because "it makes no sence". I have seen rants upon rants on it and now I'm here to spread some positivity about Soriel.

•Why it works

Now, when faced with sadness, Toriel usually tries harder while Sans gives up easier. Thus balances their relationship, sence Toriel could make Sans not give up and try a little harder. Before Sans started practising knock knock jokes at the Ruins door, Toriel was sad and alone, (probably most often thinking about the loss of all of her children). Now, while Toriel was dealing with her problems, Sans was too. He didn't lose any of his relatives, instead he lost his hapiness, but he still tried to stay cheery with his brother, sence he didn't want to see his brother as sad as he was. So he started practising knock knock jokes to make himself look happy. Toriel and him became good friends, Toriel now had somebody who cared about her and Sans wasn't as depressed as he was before. At the end of the true pacifist run, when Toriel leaves the Ruins to protect you from Asgore, her and Sans finally meet. Think of it as online friends who habe been talking for years and finally met. So, they start telling each other jokes. In one oanel, Sans and Toriel are staring at each other. Gran-tem, this isn't a reason to ship them just yet. In another panel, when Toriel looks away, Sans is still staring at her while Asgore is crying. Unyne then proceeds to comfort Asgore with the words "Don't worry Asgore, there are plenty of fish in the sea". Papyrus's expression also changes from "happy" to a smirk when he notices that Sans is staring at Toriel in an another panel.

•Basically, it works becuase their sadness is now in the past, they helped each other when days were rough and ended up in a relationship :)
