The buddy system news feel so overehelming to you and everyone because it cement their relationship. Jikook couldn't get any closer.

it puts everything that happened between them in prespective and antis can't stomach it because they know they lost the battle of who is the one stopping JK from getting away from Jimin game they had and the foundations of their reasoning of why jikook were always clingy got destroyed with one act of commitment. Hybe was the number one enemy, Jimin was a so called predetor, Jennie was payed, but now when all the parties are finally free Jungkook still picks Jimin and even in the final days of freedom they went on a trip and in a vlive all 4 of them look happy. It is what is and it's why you see the biggest breakdown ever in the fandom. I'm lurking in the royal families fandom (I like the fashion lol) and even they are talking about BTS and how crazy it is the jikook are enlisting together but they are happy because to them it was always obvious they were very close

I’m not overwhelmed by the news, it just feels like something fans would have to either assume based on tiny bits of information or make up entirely.

I’ve been in many fandoms, and I don’t recall any ever having a situation where the people who are the focus of said ship actually ever do a thing that, as you said, cements their bond. The only one I can think of is Scott and Mitch from Pentatonix. I wasn’t deeply in their fandom, but I recall people shipping “Scomïche” for a long time and believing they had hooked up or were full on dating for a while, yet Scott and Mitch always denied it. Then when they dropped their book, they mentioned having dated very briefly in high school, then trying again just after PTX won the Sing-Off.

Other than that, queer “ships” almost never confirm anything, because a lot of the people involved either lose touch even if they are queer or date the opposite sex.

Jimin and JK are different in the sense that dating publicly for them will be a scandal either way, because Kpop is stupid in their rules that idols must always seem available, and allowing fans to have such influential voices on who idols can date. So that is not bound to go well regardless, but them possibly being queer is basically illegal right now and career killer in South Korea. So again, I’m not overwhelmed because they’re doing something I didn’t expect or because it feels big, it’s just… different.

As I said in my other post, knowing they didn’t let shipping infiltrate their friendship no matter what it is, is different. Knowing they still say queer positive things, flirt with each other, and want to be around each other despite being shipped, is different. An anon came along earlier saying their skinship is common and other idols have done far more in stage and ended up homophobic, but I think what Jikook have said and done is exactly why they seem to stand out.

Could they turn out to be homophobic? Yes. We don’t know them so I can’t say otherwise, but I have my doubts, lol. But I also think choosing to spend a year and a half with someone a large chunk of your fandom thinks you’re fucking on a regular, when you legally do not have to, makes them different to idols who have done standard fan service on stage.

Because I did see the video of the two guys drenched in water, and I’m sorry to say, while sexy, it was par the course fan service. Does it mean those two men may have never had queer urges? No, because we don’t know them and therefore cannot decide that even if one of both are homophobic, that it isn’t internalized. That said, instead of talking about possible scenarios, I will stick to my point, which is, stage gay is stage gay.

BTS have participated in stage gay many times. Every time they pretend to kiss each other, every time they grip each other’s asses, and even when JM and JK stood dick to dick while rubbing on each other, lol. That’s stage gay, meant to appease fans. Does that mean none of them are queer? No. It would mean they’re closeted queer artists who indulge in harmless queerness on stage, under the pretense that it is harmless fun between comfortable-in-their-sexuality-straight-bros.

What’s not stage gay, in my opinion, was the ear suck. Yes, Jungkook did it on stage, but he didn’t do it in a showy way. So unless people believe he intentionally made it seem spur of the moment to throw off it looking planned… well… it’s their right. But I think JK was caught up and in a teasing mood, so he teased Jimin in a way that suits whatever type of bond they have.

The bite mark hickey was also not stage gay, 1) because it didn’t happen on stage 2) because we didn’t see it happen. We were told after the fact, so people who dislike them feel good claiming it was a woman or Tae who bit JK, and Jimin is the cover story because Hybe loves Jikook.

Anyway, stage gay is stage gay, and Jimin and Jungkook do not actually participate in it very often. None of BTS do. Beyond some ass grabs and leaning in too close to make each other feel awkward, they do the mildest I’ve ever seen, between western artists who do it and Korean idols. So if people are going to use the existence of skinships to denounce the possibility to Jikook, they’re going to have to look a bit harder. Which is why most antis and Tkkrs stick with “it’s all forced and fake!”

Because claiming it’s strictly skinship means admitting they do skinship at home or in their hotels, when we don’t get to see it. And anyone who’s deeply into skinship with their coworker for no sellable reason, is probably just into their coworker lol.

This reply took a long detour, but yeah. Them enlisting together does put things into perspective, because it is overall different from what people have come to expect “fake friends” or “skinship driven idols” to do. Antis can’t legitimately write it off as anything other than what it is, so they’re ripping their hair out trying to find one single truth to float on until Tae and JK interact again. Even if its footage from prior to their enlistment.

The tattoos are the reason, Jimin is too weak to go alone, JK needs help due to having a disability, Tae went to separate unit so JK took the only member left, the company forced the military to accept them to further their fan service, the military chose them because they are going to use their fan service, and so on. Just ridiculous excuse after ridiculous excuse, when the most simple one is: they wanted to.

No matter the fact that other idols people assumed to be queer turned out to be assholes, Jimin and JK chose to endure their mandatory military time with one another. No matter the fact that other idols who participated in skinship for a few years stopped or grew a little apart once they got older, Jimin and JK haven’t, didn’t, and chose to endure their mandatory military time with one another.

No matter how it is spun, they chose each other, which is different from so many things people who ship queer men specifically, have come to expect.

synopsis: rookie mafia ȷk has been assigned the task to kidnap the prime minister's son. but instead of focusing on his job being done safely, the baby mafia is more worried about not hurting his captive.

“are you okay?”

midway down a dark road, jungkook can't seem to shake his worry. he pulls the car over and pops the trunk, revealing jimin inside, who seems surprisingly comfortable for someone in his predicament.

"oh, i thought you'd be unconscious," jungkook gasps, genuinely surprised by jimin's calm demeanour.

jimin simply shrugs.

jungkook pouts, "i was instructed to hit you on the head to knock you unconscious, but i thought it'd hurt."

"i know you used chloroform. thank you," jimin adds, offering a warm smile. "but maybe you didn't put enough."

jungkook hums thoughtfully.

"are you good? you look worried," jimin asks, breaking the expected script of a kidnapping. jungkook finds himself nodding and managing a smile.

"i'm okay, thank you," jungkook replies, and jimin smiles back, their unexpected connection deepening.

"the ropes aren't too tight, are they?" jungkook inquires.

jimin is taken aback by his kidnapper's consideration. "the ropes?" he shakes his head. "no, they're fine, thank you."

jungkook nods and smiles again, his big eyes and cute dimples softening jimin's heart.

"would you want to maybe come sit in the front? with me?" jungkook surprises jimin with another unconventional offer.

"i saw in movies how they put the hostage in the trunk, so i wanted to do it too to be badass," jungkook pouts. "but i know it's scary and dark."

"yeah," jimin agrees, "it's kind of uncomfortable."

"okay, come," jungkook extends a hand, momentarily forgetting that jimin's hands are tied behind his back. he chuckles and then leans closer to jimin while helping him, causing jimin to catch a whiff of jungkook's enticing scent.

as they continue their drive, jungkook's curiosity gets the better of him. "why are you not putting up a fight?" he asks, genuinely intrigued.

jimin sighs, looking out the window. "i hate my parents and my life," he admits. "i want to get away from the lifestyle my dad wants me to have – do this, don't do that, don't go there, don't talk to them, eat this... i'm tired of all that bullshit."

jungkook hums in understanding, and they share a knowing smile.

"i'm jimin," he introduces himself, turning fully toward jungkook.

"everybody knows you, jimin-ssi. i'm ju— oh, they told me not to tell you my name," jungkook smiles. "you can call me jk."

their drive continues in an oddly comfortable silence for a kidnapper and hostage. as they pass by several shops, jungkook notices jimin's lingering gaze on a food shop.

"what do you want? i'll get it for you." he asks.

jimin would never believe a kidnapper would ever buy food for their hostage, but here he is, sitting in jungkook's car, slurping away cup noodles and sipping sprite, their peculiar connection growing more comfortable by the minute.

yoongi, the leader, couldn't believe his eyes as he watches jimin walk into their hideout, completely at ease, as if strolling through a park.

"jk is parking the car," jimin says with a sweet smile. just as he speaks, jungkook appears behind him, beaming with pride.

"i told you to rough him up, jk-ah," yoongi says, still in disbelief. "i knocked him out with chloroform," jungkook whines with a pout.

"we need to send a video to his parents, and he needs to look beaten and battered," yoongi explains, making jungkook gasps.

"maybe we can use makeup?" jimin suggests.

that's how jungkook and jimin find themselves in the restroom. jimin perched on the counter while jungkook expertly applies makeup. as jungkook gazes closely at jimin, he can't help but be captivated by his elegant and stunning features under the harsh fluorescent lights. he forces himself to concentrate on his captive's makeup, reminding himself of the situation's gravity. meanwhile, jimin keeps his eyes shut, not wanting to get lost in jungkook's galaxy-like eyes and gentle touches.

"i've been kidnapped, appa," jimin feigns sobs, coughing up fake blood for added drama. "these people... they demand..." he trails off, making the mistake of glancing to the side instead of at the camera, catching jungkook looking at him like he hung the stars in the sky. "wait, i forgot what to say," jimin admits.

yoongi's patience wear thin. he groans in exasperation, growing tired of the delay. jungkook, kneels beside jimin, carefully touching up the makeup that had smudged due to the fake tears and fake blood, ensuring that jimin appeared convincingly battered.

then, with a sudden and chilling seriousness, yoongi presses his gυn against jimin's temple. the abrupt sensation makes jimin flinch, his discomfort palpable. jungkook frowns as he sees jimin's discomfort.

"70 billion won." yoongi states firmly, his tone brooking no argument as he lays down the ransom amount, his finger tense on the trigger.

“is that all im worth?” jimin pouts, getting back to his acting mode and readying himself to start recording the video again. with jungkook being protectively close to him this time, they get ready to record the video again, determined to carry out the task to perfection.

as the days turn into weeks, jungkook and jimin's bond deepens, transcending the roles they are thrust into. the lines between captor and captive blur into something entirely unexpected.

jungkook's affection shows in countless ways. he lets jimin sleep in his bed, a place of comfort in contrast to the cold, unforgiving floor where jimin was made to sleep. when jimin complains about the unappetizing meals provided, jungkook surreptitiously shares his own food, smuggling it to him with a soft smile. in moments of boredom, jungkook hands over his phone to jimin, allowing him a temporary escape from their predicament.

but it is their late-night car rides that forge the closest connection between them. under the cover of darkness, when the world is asleep and unaware, jungkook sneaks jimin out, taking him on secret excursions. the thrill of these nocturnal escapades, the wind tousling their hair, the silence that wraps around them like a protective cloak—it all draws them together in a way neither can anticipate.

as the nights pass, their touches become more intimate, their boundaries shifting as they gravitate toward each other. they cuddle beneath warm blankets when they retire to jungkook's room at night to sleep, their bodies finding solace in the other's presence. meals are shared at the same table and they feed each other, their laughter and whispered conversations a stark contrast to the other activities that take place in the same building.

in the very room where jimin has been locked away for today, their connection takes a more passionate turn. jungkook sits on jimin's lap as their hands interlock, lips meeting in a slow, fervent kiss. jimin's voice, a mere whisper in the quiet room, holds a confession. "i've wanted this for so long, jungkook-ah."

but the moment shatters when jungkook abruptly pulls away, his expression shifting from one of desire to one of suspicion and betrayal.

“how do you know my name?” jungkook asks, his voice deeper and colder than jimin has ever heard, his eyes glaring dangerously. this is a jungkook that jimin doesn't recognize—the jungkook who is a part of the world's most dangerous mafia.

“j-jungkook, listen to me,” jimin tries, but jungkook is already getting up and away from him, standing in front of him as he does something on his phone.

“i'll give you five minutes to explain,” jungkook says, showing jimin his phone screen with a timer on it. jimin looks at him, his features etched with hurt and disbelief as he gazes back at jungkook. jungkook's eyes, which were in the shape of crescent moons just a few moments ago, now glare at him with pain and betrayal, his lips, swollen and slick from jimin and his own spit, are shaped in a frown.

“jungkook-ah, baby,” jimin says, trying to reach for him, but jungkook shakes his head and takes a step back.

“four minutes, jimin-ssi.” he says coldly.

jimin, his voice quivering with the weight of the truth he was about to reveal, starts to speak, "i know everything."

"what do you mean, everything, jimin-ssi?" jungkook's voice was now icy, clear that he wanted answers, no matter the cost.

“you, the gang, yoongi hyung, everything.” jimin began to lay bare his secrets, exposing the tangled web of his life and his connection to yoongi.

“i met yoongi hyung in a bar a few years ago. we hit it off right away and used to see each other all the time. but we weren't good together so things didn't escalate. but we became good friends. really good friends. sometimes i help him cover up the gang’s slip-ups and he helps me escape my prison.”

jimin continues, “i knew, when he recruited you. we were drinking late at night when he told me about you, said he hated the way your parents treated you and wanted to recruit you into the gang. but he said he was afraid he’ll ruin your innocence. his world is all dark and without hope, he told me he didn't want to snatch away your youth.”

“but i told him he should take you in. told him i know he’d keep you safe from anyone else. i told him he could give you small tasks because we knew how competitive you are, how you want to be good at everything you do. how you never want the people around you to be disappointed by you.”

jimin sighs, “and i knew about the kidnapping, jungkook-ah. one of my bodyguards told me my father put out a bounty on my head to get me killed in a week. i knew it, my father has never looked at me like a father should look at their son. i've always been an obstacle in his dream of becoming the most powerful in the country. i immediately texted yoongi hyung and told him to get me away. and he suggested that he kidnaps me.”

“i agreed and we decided on a plan.” jimin says

when he looks up at jungkook, its like he can see the gears in his head shifting. its like he's connecting all the dots, now understanding why no one said anything to them when they weren't behaving how a captor and their captive should be behaving.

"did you know hyung would send me?" jungkook's voice waveres with lingering hurt.

"no," jimin smiles softly, "i just got lucky like that."

the atmosphere shifts once more as jimin noticed jungkook's softened expression. he stepps closer, longing for understanding and forgiveness.

"i think hyung has always known i've been a bit obsessed with you," jimin confesses, his voice filled with sincerity. "but how can i not be? it's so easy to fall in love with you, jungkookie."

jimin gets up, sighing in relief as jungkook doesn't stop him. he cups jungkook's face tenderly. "i know i should've told you everything from the start, baby, i'm so sorry," he whisperes, his thumb softly caressing jungkook's cheek. “but trust me, i have never faked anything with you. my feelings, my actions, nothing was ever fake, okay?"

jungkook, tears glistening in his eyes, gazes at jimin with a mixture of emotions. "why'd you risk your life like that? getting involved with a mafia gang?" he asks, his voice quivering with concern.

jimin offers a gentle smile, his eyes reflecting the resilience that had carried him through his difficult past. "i know hyung's not a bad person. and what else was i supposed to do? let my father kill me, act pathetic, and gain sympathy?"

"oh, hyung, you've suffered so much." a tear slides down jungkook's cheek, and jimin quickly wipes it away with a loving touch.

"it's okay, it's okay, baby," jimin reassures him, wrapping his arms around jungkook in a warm embrace. "i'm fine now. i have you. thank you for listening to me."

jungkook cups jimin's face, his thumb brushing over jimin's cheekbone, and presses a tender kiss to his forehead. "your father's the worst, hyung," he whispers. "i'm so sorry you had to live like that."

jimin leans in, capturing jungkook's lips in a sweet kiss, his love and gratitude evident in the tender gesture. "it's okay, baby, really," he murmurs against jungkook's lips. "i have a plan. i haven't given up yet."

their intimate moment gets interrupted by the timer going off on jungkook's phone, reminding them of their surroundings. they reluctantly pull away from their embrace, exchanging warm smiles and one last lingering kiss before leaving the room together.

as they make their way out, they encounter yoongi, who raises an eyebrow at the sight of their intertwined hands. “i told him everything!” jimin beams at yoongi and proudly lifts their intertwined hands, a silent declaration.

yoongi, initially happy yet taken aback, can't help but feel scared. when jungkook surprises everyone by hugging yoongi, the older returns the embrace, whispering, "jungkook-ah, i'm sorry."

"you saved me, hyung," jungkook whispers against yoongi's neck.

yoongi shakes his head, his voice filled with sincerity. "i didn't lie about anything. i wouldn't have taken you if you weren't really good. you're a good person, jungkook-ah. i just want a better life for you."

jungkook nods, pulling away from the hug, and offers yoongi a grateful smile. "thank you, hyung, for everything."

sensing they're about to either cry or make out, jimin joins the conversation, with enthusiasm. "and he's my boyfriend," he announces, coming to stand next to jungkook and wrapping his arm around jungkook's.

yoongi can't help but chuckle at their antics. "did you tell him he's your boyfriend?" he teases, nodding toward jungkook.

jungkook's face flushes crimson, but he smiles shyly. "boyfriends, hyungie?"

“yeah.” jimin nods, getting on his tiptoes to steal a quick kiss from jungkook, making the younger man's blush deepen.

however, the serious matter at hand soon resurfaces. jungkook turns to yoongi, his tone serious as he mentions, "we need to do something about his father, hyung."

yoongi's deep, authoritative voice confirms their determination. "we have a plan."

curious, jungkook looks at jimin, seeking answers. jimin simply shakes his head, opting not to reveal the details.

"taehyungie and hobi are on it," yoongi adds reassuringly. "we don't have to worry about anything."

jimin chimes in, "my bodyguards, namjoon hyung and seokjin hyung, are aware of the plan too." he turns to jungkook with a soft smile. "i want to keep you out of it, baby. the less you know, the better."

"but i want to help too," jungkook pouts, his desperation clear.

jimin's soothing voice and calming presence prevails. "just be with me, koo. i don't need anything else," he reassures, his words filled with love and affection.

yoongi can't help but groan at the display of affection between the couple. "just trust me. i’ll be fine, i promise," jimin adds, seeking to ease jungkook's concerns.

jungkook nods, his commitment unwavering, and he seals his promise with a sweet kiss on jimin's forehead.

the conversation turns playful, and jungkook can't help but ask with a pout, "is that why you didn't resist at all when i approached you?"

jimin nods cheekily, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "i also don't think you would've won against me if i did put up a fight, baby," he says, his tone laced with sass.

jungkook rolls his eyes playfully. "oh please, i could've definitely taken you. you're tiny," he teases, giving jimin a playful once-over.

jimin giggles, his laughter tinkling like music in the room. "i have a black belt in taekwondo and more than seven years of training in kendo, love," he counters.

jungkook can't help but pout, though there's a playful spark in his eyes. "i still could've taken you, though," he insists, his love for jimin shining through even in their teasing banter.
