People! People! People! 

Well... Still here! Are you scared yet? You should not be. So where are we now? Apparently, we are officially almost 4 years in and this begs the question, do you have anything to show for it? Well, I would like to think that we do... We do not have the accounts that we want. We do not yet have Rihanna speaking about us in an interview nor is PETA after us, discouraging us to not use leather or fur. 

Where we are.. Is at a place where we are coming closer to our identity. We have come closer to learning that every year, we need to pay taxes, regardless of the fact that there was no actual income. We have come closer to realizing that we have something special. Nothing that reinvents the wheel, but something where value can actually be placed on our work.

Where do we go from here you may or may not ask. We go to tomorrow. That is where we go. We go to tomorrow, then the next day, then the next day, then the next day, until that magic happens. 

As much as we all say that we want that magical day to occur, we really do not, because once it happens.. There is hardly anything left to fight for... 

But truly, we want that day to happen..

Diary of MISCH 037

Still.. We rise. So.. where are we at now you might wonder? Limbo. Not in any particular limbo who's outcome spells doom, but more so waiting for the next step. 

What is the next step? Well, it would be what any other normal business would want.. Success. We currently just finished the samples for our spring/summer line, which includes totes, cell phone cases and folios. Now, after we have finally finished that, we find ourselves just a step behind all of the the newer trending items! This sounds worse than it is, because we could be completely off and just on the wrong track entirely.. 

So what do we do? We play catch up and we do so in a way that allows us to figure out to stay a step further ahead each time. One of the things that we are going through, and we are sure that other companies go through this as well, is the fact that making stuff in the states comes with its price. Morals aside, it is just the right thing to do, but the pace makes the process daunting!!! 

Either way, end rant. Lets get to the next chapter and as always, cannot wait to share with you all!

What’s up world. Here, still and it feels great. The new challenge is here and we are taking it head on, as usual. For those of your starting brands, how long did it take you to shape up your social media and etc? We are finally getting to the level where we getting ours on the right foot. The only real issue, as it has been since the beginning, is creating enough product to fill the site, fill the shoots and diversify the portfolio. These are things that are hardly taken into consideration at first, but definitely well respected now, for those brands out there that really take time to handcraft their work, churn out designs constantly and stay relevant. Either way, we are here, on to the next step.. Still breathing and another day closer to where we want to be, for now!

It is not the result of being financed, getting a bag made in China, then labeled as something else. This photo represents the work of a group of people, collaborating on many levels with one common goal. Success. Success is not limited to the end result, but the overcoming of the task.

Well Helloooooo All! 

Diary of MISCH Brand, Los Angeles is here. Are you ready? Well, we’ve gotten our system down, some what better. New photographer attained. Model(s) attained, check. Next thing is next, which is the completion of the latest folios. Gold plating is in the process, 14K, might I add. Gift boxes are in production. All is going pretty well. Just needing to add pieces to fill in the blanks. 

Went to a panel last week to see the behind the scenes of the movie La La Land. Quite interesting... To say the least. Doing more social engagements is helping slowly but surely to increase brand awareness, meet people and learn how to engage. 

Also, for the first time, we are using custom dyed leathers for fall. This is REALLY going to be amazing, because as much as we all love black. A little color to accompany the seasons never hurt right?

Next phase... of MISCH, Los Angeles. Well, the road is not easy and this is for sure the reason why it is the less traveled one. 

For 2 years now, we have been conceptualizing the ideal, functional travel folio. We have found that the things that make something luxurious, is in something far deeper than the product itself. The care that goes into the development process, handling of each individual piece and consistency over a long period of time. So, with that being said, we have a long way to go. A long, long way to go. 

As you read this, you are taking part in creating our heritage or by the time you read this, perhaps the heritage has already been created! 

So what are we up to these days? We are creating our summer folios and the process, the process, the process, has been strenuous. Not in any negative way, but in a way that has forced the team to scale down the vision and focus on the immediate, not the extremely grandiose. 

You will see what we mean by this when the next round of folios are done. We are taking the typical fashion world attitude and having fun. That is something that many brands lose sight of, the very reason that they initially began, which is to have fun creating products for the world!

Remember this as the first day! We made it to the convention. Currently in Las Vegas at Magic! Learning a few things, hopefully able to interact with other great companies and leaders while attending. 

We talk about it quite a bit, but being here is a totally different thing and very glad that MISCHbrand is going to the next step. Keep on pursuing things and enjoy what you do. Till next time.

Here we are again! We are on the way up.. Or at least it seems to be that way because what other direction could you go in once low/beginning? We just had the order confirmed for the hardware needed for the next line of bags! 

Also, was it mentioned that all of the hardware for the MISCH brand bags will be 14/24K plated? Just a little tid bit of information that might be useful in case you want to get excited or read this transcript years from now and go.. wow, they were on to something and look where it got them!

Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? 

Greetings folks. Still here, as always. To the point, we are customizing hardware for the next set of samples that we reveal at the upcoming trade show. We are hoping that this hardware will not only set us aside, but help give life to the aesthetic that we’ve been searching so hard for. 

Also, we are looking to hire a few good folks to help streamline this operation! Could it be you? Let us see. Looking for social media experts, marketing experts and designers.

Cough cough.. wow.. Well, we are still here. Things are going along, not as fast as a drive through window, but moving along just as good. Fellow people.. first, as you have or have not read previously, there has been a lot of things that have happened. 

A new lesson that has been learned and am sure is shared by many, is knowing when to let go of a certain approach/strategy. WAIT.. to be clear, this does not mean that you should let go of your dreams by a long shot.. But, know when to reinvent and not be scared to jump in with something new. 

All about reinvention in this day and age, especially to stay alive in any business and world of fast moving technology!

Hello hello all!

Welcome to another beautiful, illustrious, well written edition of the “Diary of MISCH”. An open journal, so to speak, about the building of a brand from the beginning, from below the ground and up! So, whats up? 

Well, we are finally in the planning phase of going to trade shows this year, staying relatively local, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, to get our feet wet. The trade shows mark the beginning of a different level of exposure and criticism, which we should all be open to when dealing with any art form. 

So, besides that, we are still in the building process of getting the name out there, connecting to stores and people. As we were in the beginning, we are still excited to tackle each new day because there is always something new and wonderful ahead. 

Sorry to be brief, but there is work to do, so until next time, be well and don’t work too hard!
