im not the best explaining but I can try ^^

tone tags are little things you can add at the end of your text to convey tone, to make things more clear and avoid misunderstanding

for example, /j would mean joking, /srs would be serious, etc

I have trouble telling the tone of texts a lot of the time,, so I use them often :D
