How can you’ve lived for so long and still not get it? This self obsession is a waste of living. It could be spend in surviving things, appreciating nature, nurturing kindness and friendship, and dancing. You have been pretty lucky in love though, if I may say so.

Hello, here’s an unnecessary reminder that Clint Howard starred in one of the worst movies ever made, ’Evilspeak’ from 1981. Mr. Howard is an orphan who finds a book of black magic once owned by an evil medieval priest and then uses that book—whose dark rituals he access by translating the malevolent tome with a computer—to summon the spirit of that evil priest so that he can get revenge on his bullies at military academy. It’s a stupid as it sounds and there is no viable reason why I should take the time to let you know it exists. It does have scene were a naked woman is attacked in her bathroom and is devoured by a pack of large hogs. I think that might be a unique cinematic moment. I’m sorry I’m doing this right now. I’ll just stop. Source

Morgiana (1972)
One of the most beautiful horror films (or just films period) I’ve ever seen, definitely deserves Criterion attention.

LGBT representation in Eastern Europe
I’m trying to make a pretty big master post of a ton of LGBT movies from all over the world, and I’ve decided to start in Eastern Europe!
Note that I haven’t watched a lot of these movies myself so I don’t know the full extent of what they contain.
-Fine Mrtve Djevojke (Fine Dead Girls) - Croatian film about a lesbian couple that moves into an apartment complex, only to find that the accumpants of the apartment are violent and unwelcoming. Warnings for rape. Political commentary.
-Coming Out - East German film about a gay teacher who’s dating a woman and suppressing his feelings, until he meets a man and falls in love.
-Hana A Jej Bratia (Hanna and Her Brothers) - A Slovak movie about a young man who wants to find his way through life, and does so with the help of a couple young men who have something in common. Main characters are LGBT. I didn’t want to spoil anything, but this is a really good film!
-Весельчаки (Jolly Fellows) - A Russian movie about the drag queen scene in the early 90′s in Moscow. Pretty goofy and not a serious movie.
-Legaturi Bolnavicioase (Love Sick) - A Romanian coming of age lesbian movie. It’s… a very good plot line in a way, but warning for incest. I haven’t watched this movie in it’s full, but it seems good.
-Egymásra Nézve (Another Way) - A Hungarian lesbian movie with very political messages. Probably one of the best and well known gay movies to come out of the continent.
-I Am My Own Woman (Ich Bin Meine Eigene Frau) - Another East German movie, this time a documentary about a transgender woman (Charlotte) living her life in East Berlin, and more about the LGBT community in Eastern Berlin.
This list is incomplete, so if you have any other movies you want to add, please do! Thank you!
