BECAUSE BLACK WOMEN DESERVE REPRESENTATION AND NOT FETISHIZATION
You, your eyes and your skin and your hair black as the velvety fabric of space and time - youâre an apparition. An angel. You came from the sky clothed in dark matter, your head held high as you fell into the veins of light below. You canât shake the stardust from the cloud that is your hair - and why would you want to?
Skin like topaz and hazel eyes like petrified amber and spring leaves and your waterfall of curls - youâre a forest spirit who wandered her way into this strange neon city. And when they look at you, they know - they just donât know that they know.
Black woman, you inventor. You scientist. You witch walking that knifeâs edge between day and night, between this world and the next. Youâre crazy and youâre brilliant and your smile is dazzling. Alchemist. Fae. Poet. Pianist. Spirit from Elsewhere catching fireflies. Youâre the voice in the choir and the voice on the subway and your voice must be heard.
You deserve to see yourself slaying dragons on the silver screen.
Your daughters deserve to be the Chosen Ones in their favorite novels.
Because she can be an astronaut.
Because she wants to be a princess, too.
Because she deserves to see another black girl who loves algebra and physics on TV.
Because youâre not a white manâs fetish. Because your skin isnât âchocolateâ and because youâre not âexotic.â
Because you deserve better.

Okay... so I've been thinking... werewolf slang.
What are some words or phrases that you think werewolves would use? Here's some ideas I've had:
"Stray" - a werewolf without a pack. Eg, 'There is a stray wandering around the edge of our territory'.
"Moon mad" - a werewolf who goes totally berserk under the light of the full moon. Eg, 'Some of us just can't control anymore, especially in old age. My old man went moon mad near the end.'
"Showing fur" - to transform either fully or partially into wolf form. Eg, 'Frank had to leave quick. He got angry and started showing fur.'
"Pup" - a minor insult typically coming from an older werewolf and directed at a younger one. Eg, 'Back up a step, pup. You're out of line'.
"Cub" - a werewolf child. Similar to the human word 'kid'. Eg, "Who's going to pick the cubs up from school?"
Feel free to add your own! I want this post to turn into a werewolf urban dictionary.

You guys are coming in hot and I'm so here for it.

There's a not insignificant chance I'll get to open a DND club at my school so I made these quick charts to help. They're made to be printed in A5 format, and if anyone is interested I can try and put a link to the PDF version on drive.
First image covers the type and names of dice. Image 2 explains ability scores, img 3 explains what modifiers, HP, AC, Proficiency, DC saving throw & death save mean.
Image 4 & 5 are also lists of words but they have a big red logo with white axes in it. Img 4 explains flanking, advantage, disadvantage, melee range, critical hit/fail, area of effect and ranged spell attack. Img 5 explains the elements of combat: Initiative, what a Round is, movement, action, bonus action, reaction, attack of opportunity.
My next step is to make one of these per class to help players remember their main level 1 features and main rolls, but that's probably going to have to wait until later.
This effort was inspired by GinnyDi's video about how to help new players like the game on YouTube. Please reblog if this seems useful to you!
ETA: There are now two more booklets in this collection: The Little Book of Level 1 has all the essential mechanics of each class, and Conditions, conditions, conditions! Sums up all possible conditions in the game. You can find them through the pinned post on my blog :)

Writing Prompt 337
Truth to be told, the reason guns arenât used much in the modern day for fighting against the creatures of the night is because itâs very much expensive to do so.
Each creature type can truly be wounded only by an object imbued with something they are weak to. Silver, holy water and holy symbols, cold iron, you get the idea.
So, you try to make each bullet personalized for each type of monster, somewhere between seven to thirty bullets for magazine. On one hand, the material and monetary cost, on the other the time spent on each object in part and making sure they are done right too.
Much easier to use a sword, dagger or club, no? This is not to say enchanted modern weapons donât exist, but unless you can bear the cost, youâre better off using something simpler.
