Likely Pilot Suicide. Flew the plane off course, turned off location tech then let it run out of fuel and drop in the ocean.
What's your favorite MH370 conspiracy theory? Mine's the plane got hit and incinerated by a meteorite. ☄️
It's slightly more plausible than abducted by aliens. 👽

In Soviet Russia, Kiddos fly plane ✈️💥
I'm watching the Mayday: Air Disaster episode on Aeroflot Flight 593 and I'm already losing my shit.
If you're a pilot and you want to show your kids around the cockpit why the fuck would you do so when you are 10,000+ FEET IN THE AIR??? Take them to a flight training simulator or something, don't take them on a flight with OVER SEVENTY PEOPLE ON THE FUCKING PLANE???
There are better ways to go about showing your kids what you do for work if you're a pilot OH MY GODDD

Aviation Heroism stories are BOSS.
I love non-disaster air disasters--situations where something went wrong (sometimes very wrong), but through a mix of effort, good flying, and luck, everything turned out okay.
British Airways Flight 5390, TACA 110, the Gimli Glider, British Airways 009, the Miracle on the Hudson, etc...
They're all good reminders that it's just as realistic for people to pull off the improbable or unlikely and save a bad situation as it is for a bad situation to end in tragedy. And, like all air disasters, they're also a reminder that disaster is usually a whole string of things going wrong, and it frequently just takes one thing in that string going right for it to turn out not a disaster instead.

It was a 757 and the pilot got so rudder-pedal happy responding to wake turbulence that the rudder snapped off.
does anybody else think about how there was a horrible passenger plane crash in New York City on Nov 12 2001 but it's largely forgotten by history because 9/11 had happened just a month prior

Can you imagine suing Boeing and coming home to find Boeing's faulty plane parts washed up in your backyard?

I find this Antonov An-74 plane hilarious. Not just because of the weird engine placement, everyone finds that hilarious. This (and the related AN-72) are nicknamed "Cheburashka", after this cartoon character:

But no, the even funnier thing, to me, is how they've labeled this plane. Lemme zoom in:
THEY PUT THE PLANE'S FAX NUMBER ON IT
who sees a fucking plane and goes "hey, maybe I should send that plane a fax"?

And then there's Planes...
There's a stairway to heaven and a highway to hell, but the midnight train goes anywhere. Trains are clearly the superior transit method.
