Would you kiss yasuyuki okamura
By all means, yes
He’s probably one of the most attractive real-life men I know of, past and present, even if he sometimes wears bowties

2020 me was onto something though
LOOK at this it’s so cute
Need to overhaul my tumblr page soon
Or whenever I feel like it
It’s very much a product of 2020 and hasn’t been changed since

In 2012, a deluxe DVD box set was released, containing every Yasuyuki Okamura concert film before 1999, along with his music videos and movies. I got it for Christmas and ripped some backups. These days, the box set regularly sells as a complete piece for around 200,000 yen (approx. $2000 USD). In the interest of sharing content that is completely out of print, here’s my rips of the DVD box set. I also hope to add Fresh Boy Tour 2003 and Me-imi 2004 in the future.
For those who aren’t aware, Okamura is a Japanese producer/singer/songwriter who’s worked with Meg, Buck Tick, Daoko, and way more. He is especially inspired by Prince, and is often known as Japan’s Prince; to this day he still works on J-funk and electronic music…he actually put out a new album earlier this year. Many may know him as the singer/writer of “Viva Namida”, the opening theme to Space Dandy, and “Super Girl”, the second ending theme to City Hunter.
So far, this folder includes:
Date ‘88 - Concert film with songs from his 1988 album
Peach ‘89 - Concert film with songs from his 1989 album
Peach Movie: I’ll Do Anything For You - a feature-length movie also starring Kahori Fujii and Kazuhiko Kanayama
Home Tutor ‘91 - Concert film with songs from his 1990 album, interspersed with on-stage skits
Fancy Guerilla 92 - Concert film with songs from his 1990 and 1995 albums
Stories: Every music video before 1999, aside from Super Girl (due to legal reasons)
Doki–!!: Special interviews and behind-the-scenes clips
All archive files also include the bonus features from that disc. Please feel free to share the link, especially among Japanese sites. I love Okamurachan a whole lot and would love for more people to have access to his concert films.
