You still alive bro?
Cy: Quite possibly! Very fair though, lmao.
Solomon: HAHA oh my gods yeah so fair. School's been eating my ass and both of us picked up different hyperfixations in the interrim. We're focusing our energy when we can on working on this, though!

Are any of the angels base off a certain birbs?
Hey, Cy here! I love this question, mainly because I take inspiration from a bunch of random things, but weirdly enough for Angels, I only took bird inspo for Uriel’s colour palette! I found that barn owl colouring worked best for him! (Very fun and un-requested fact: Barn owls have slightly satellite dish-shaped heads with one ear higher up and one ear lower.)

They just being goofy

I don’t remember the original artist who did this first, but Solomon suggested I do this with their human designs :3

Our pretty girls, Emily and Cherry Blossom, in their full angel forms! Cherry Blossom is a Winner/Archangel hybrid, marking the first instance of a shown angel that isn't one of the Three Families. Archangels are native to the Humility Ring, so Cherry and Emily became fast friends once they met. We're so excited to show more of the Heavenborn species!

What's this? The secret 10th member of the main cast?? Well... not really. He just didn't want to die during the last Extermination, and from that, he wound up staying with the rest of the crew during their flight to Earth. Percival Pentious-formerly-and-formally-known-as-Sir works at Floormart with Arackniss, spending half his time actually doing his job and the other half trying to figure out how society took such a downward spiral from the 1800s and asking Niss about everything confusing. It's a bit of a mess, and walking was annoying to relearn, but hey! Beats being dead!

Arackniss, Arackniss... you're an interesting little fellow, aren't you? Deniss Ferrari, older brother of the much-sought-after Anthony... And he's working at Floormart?? Well, that certainly a way to pay for food. (Not that any shade can truly be thrown when Baxter's doing his... Baxter things.)
As a bonus, his redesigned Sinner form, since the old official art's from a LONG time ago.

The vagabond teen herself, Crymini, makes her grand appearance! Though she never really had too many dreams of starhood (despite what Villa always pushed her to) she finds herself using her moniker Minerva Cedar to make quite the name for herself in the way of a band-- Devil's Emotional Mind of Nihility! It's her escape from the world, along with alcohol (the legality of which is up for discussion) and her two best friends.

And for the first official guest of the hotel, three cheers for Baxter Deo, our silly little friend! He might just be selling drugs out of his basement... but, uh, hey! Would you look at that! The bills are paid! Not that Arackniss really minds, either. They may look human, but on the inside they still have the tolerance of a demon! And besides, Baxter still finds time to tinker on his (non-psychosis inducing) projects, too, which may not pay the bills, but definitely provide enough distraction to prevent him from spending too much time in that basement.

And the last of the traditional Hazbin crew, we present our darling Niffty! She mostly pays her own bills by way of hotel janitor employment (they appreciate her enthusiasm, but sometimes she can get slightly... excessive) but is also partially covered by Alastor and Angel's overflow. Osozaki Kyochikuto is her name, and her claim to fame is a damn shame that she shares a name with the suspected perpetrator behind multiple assassinations in the first half of the 20th century (did I have fun with that? maybe a little bit :D). But with such a huge age gap between herself and the Oleander, a few strange looks is all she gets from passersby.

Husker! Bartender extraordinaire! What does he do upon being brought back to Earth? Tend more bars, of course! If you've come to a place that Elijah Henries is working, you've come to a place with some damn fine drinks. He mostly covers food for himself and Charlie, saving the rest for emergencies. (Charlie also has basically no clue how to pay bills or put money in a bank, so he handles that as well.)
He was designed with peak depressed middle-aged man in mind :)

Finally, the radio himself, Alastor! He took great pride in being one of the few who the rest of the crew didn't have to walk on eggshells around naming for the first few months. Never mind that he shares the same name with Alastor Debeaux, the famous New Orleans serial killer... just a coincidence, right? Anyway, upon learning (to his great disgruntlement) that all the local radio stations were either fully employed or shut down, he took it upon himself to reacquaint with some modern technology and start a podcast. On serial killers and cold cases, of course! What else? He and Angel split the bills, and he runs a strict schedule on himself, making certain he has time for Niffty at the end of every day.

Angel Dust, or as the humans know him, Anthony Ferrari, is now running a MostlyFans account to help keep up the rent in the apartment he shares with our resident radio man himself. The thirsty humans just can't get enough of our leading spider! You'd expect them all to be careful, what with D.H.O.R.K.S. out there still hunting after that first contact, but it might just be one of Angel's mistakes that puts them all on the radar.

Aaaa, this is part of the story I'm most excited for personally! These designs won't see use for a while, but... it's cool to see em! This is also vaguely a reveal streak for the 9 main cast (minus Vaggie, for plot reasons). So here's our sunshine girl, Charlie, in her human disguise! (Also known as Charlie Magne, after being told that Morningstar would turn too many eyes.) She's got a nice job as a therapist, and genuinely enjoys helping people, but there does come a time to ask about the therapist's therapist...

eueibekdhrbr I love your designs for the archangels!! Literally how I imagined them on the wiki <33
would you ever do designs for the angel kids (Charlie’s angels) or are they not in the story? ^-^
I can't say I've heard of dear Charlie having any angels, though perhaps I could be biased as the devil on her shoulder, haha! But having seen Lucifer, I must imagine the rest of the bird-brained brothers up in Heaven are just as annoying.
Well, I'm not sure whether Princess Charlie has a group of angels, but I'll pass the message on to the archangels about you loving their appearances! They love to hear it.
Cy: Thank you a ton for the love! I had a lot of fun with the Morningstars' designs, and I'm so glad they match your imagined appearances for their characters.
Solomon: For the sake of our lore (and our sanities, lol) we've cut Charlie's angels and are figuring out ways to replace their roles in the story. Even just in Season 1, we've been having trouble splitting screen time between just the 10 main cast, so it'd be hard to have all of the little guys running around! This group of posts was just for the Morningstars and Seraphiel anyway, we've got a couple more angels on the backburner for later :O

As a bonus, the progenitor of the third of God's families, Seraphiel of the Seraphim! God created him on a whim from being bored, and from that, he formed his daughters from ideas and imaginations he felt. Some of his daughters form pseudo families of their own, some taking on mother/daughter roles like Sera and Emily, while others prefer to be more sisterly such as Raguel, Zerach, and Remiel. Seraphiel takes much of the busy paperwork of the Humility Ring in an attempt to take pressure of Michael, but with all the assistance from his Archangels, he ends up with far more free time that he uses to pester the Metatron, a favorite point of contention being Michael's inability to hear God. What his goal is in pointing this out constantly, perhaps not even he himself is fully cognizant of at the moment.

And now for the youngest of the Morningstars, Cassiel, the Virtue of Humility. Though her Virtue suggests otherwise, she's got the most fire of the brothers, constantly causing headaches for Michael and Gabriel. Though, she can't be blamed fully for her erratic habits; she bonded closely to Raphael as a young one, and learned many of her tactics from him. While appearing the most carefree on the outside, she was one of those most heavily affected by the Rebellion and the losses therein, and still remains deeply depressed on the inside.

As we come to the younger Morningstars, we now have Uriel, the Virtue of Chastity. He presents himself modest and reserved, though all that can overflow into a great fountain of emotion if his codes are broken or his loved ones threatened. He finds himself particularly close to Gabriel, as the two found solace in each other after the tragedies of the Rebellion, and the loss of their beloved elder brothers Forti and Lucifer.
