The Human Rights Guidelines provide fair rights and opportunities, and freedom from discrimination on a variety of grounds. The Code recognizes the dignity and importance of every person in Ontario, in the employment, housing, facilities and services, contracts, and membership in unions, trade or vocational associations. The Rules of discrimination protect you in these areas based on your family status.
The Code describes "family status" as "being in a parent and child relationship." It may also mean a "kind" of parent and child relationships, which may be non-blood based or adopted, but based on care, responsibilities, and promises. Some examples are the protection of parents in children (through adoption, childbirth, and nephews), care for people for aging parents or relatives with disabilities, and families led by lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered people.
As a first step in preventing discrimination, employers, service providers, landowners and the public need to recognize human rights issues based on family status. If their needs are not recognized or supported, family caregivers usually face barriers to getting housing, jobs, and services. It further affects women who provide most care to our society, and low-income families, who may have no jobs and have difficulty getting affordable services or housing. There is a time in our lives most of us will need to provide or receive care and we will need to meet our family status rights. Family care providers are also protected from discrimination and harassment in connection with other matters of the Code, including disability, marital status, sex (being pregnant, breastfeeding, gender identity), sexual orientation, race , color, ancestor, religion, age and social assistance (in housing). This protection applies even when the caregiver is only relevant to the person identified for one of these reasons. An example is someone who lives and cares for a relative who is handicapped in action. He was denied a landlord who was afraid because he could request apartment upgrades for easy access. The man will be discriminating on the basis of his interview with a person with a disability.
Under the Terms, employers, unions, landlords, and service providers all have a legitimate duty to assist based on one's family's status. The purpose is to allow employees, tenants, consumers, and clients to benefit from and participate in the workplace, housing, facilities and services until extreme poverty. This is a legal review and the employer, union, landlord or service provider must prove that the assistance is extremely costly, or that it is causing serious health and safety problems. Paying attention and help is everyone's responsibility. All involved here should share important information with each other and find solutions together. There is no specific formula. Assistance can benefit many, but individual needs are considered each time

“Legend of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur”
The birth of San Francisco has always been associated with the history of the provinces of Agusan and Surigao del Sur. Before San Francisco came to what the municipality is now, it was once part of the District of Gibong which was then governed by the late Deputy Governor Francisco Cataylo. During this period, the district was composed of the barrios of Sta. Ana, Caimpugan, Ebro, Borbon, La Caridad, Prosperidad, Azpetea and Los Arcos with Sta. Ana as the site of seat of government. Along with other barrios, Sta. Ana was comprised of several sitios in which Sitio Hagpa belonged, the site of the present day San Francisco. Hagpa was coined from a Manobo word for “swampy” as the sitio itself was once was, a small village nestled along the Adlayan River and inhabited by Manobo tribes. The opening of the Province of Agusan del Sur to most parts of Mindanao came during the government of the late President Ramon Magsaysay who ordered the first road survey to be conducted by the Department of Highway in 1952. In the early part of 1954, road construction began paving the way for the institution of public land subdivision. The road construction also paved the way for the in-migration of different local tribes and converging along the newly constructed national highway as well as with other in-migrants coming from the provinces of Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon areas. With its humble beginning as small sitio, Hagpa was later renamed San Francisco in honor of Deputy District Governor Francisco Cataylo. In the early part of 1955, the first local government was established as San Francisco was created as a Municipal District. The late Mrs. Francisca Tesoro Samson was appointed as the first Municipal District Mayor by the then Provincial Governor Felixberto Dagani. In June 21, 1959. San Francisco was officially created into a regular municipality of the Province of Agusan. In this same year, the first local officials of the municipality were elected with the Atty. Paquito Fuentes as the first elected municipal mayor, who served for three consecutive terms of office. He was succeeded by his vice mayor, the late Cresencio Ausmolo who stayed in office by operation of law during the latter half-portion of his last term. Eight years after its creation as a regular municipality, on June 17, 1967 by virtue of Republic Act No. 4979, the Province of Agusan was divided into the Provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur, in which San Francisco was part of the latter. The continued growth of Agusan del Sur also saw the development of the municipality of San Francisco. Its growing population later paved the way for the creation of the municipality of Rosario through Republic Act No. 5760 approved by President Diosdado Macapagal on June 21, 1969, just two years after the creation of Agusan del Sur. As a result, the several barrios of San Francisco including Bayugan III, Wasi-an, Sta. Cruz, Cabawan, Cabantao, Marfil and Tagbayagan were incorporated in the newly created municipality. The barrios of Buenasuerte, Caimpogan, Pasta, Lapinigan, Ebro, New Visayas, Bayugan II, Borbon, Tagapua, Pisaan, Sta. Ana, Hubang, Alegria, San Isidro, Das-agan, Ladgadan, Lucac, Bitan-agan and Poblacion consisting of five barrios as stated in PD No. 86 dated December 31, 1972 remained to form part of the 39,253 hectare Municipality of San Francisco. The barrios of Rizal, Ormaca, Mate and Karaos were later created and added to form final 27 barangays of the present day San Francisco

“YouTube Play Button”
On a one sunny day in San Diego, there was this middle-eastern young man named Brandon Awadis. Brandon is living with his middle-eastern parents stabilized with good amount of money. Brandon had a really big dream of becoming an inspiring YouTuber one day. He loved YouTube so much that he cannot live without one video every single day but yet he is still in middle school and still have no plans to do or create something big in his life. He was clueless for what he is going to acquire in the near future. Brandon is just living the moment of his life as he has no problem financially because his parents are rich but Brandon didn’t know that if he grows up as a man, he needs to carry himself as a grown man and that his family doesn’t need to take care of him anymore financially. Then suddenly, his Freshman year came, Brandon was so unaware that it was very surreal for him because when he was still in middle school, he didn’t go to school very often and was a very spoiled brat. Brandon started applying to himself to start doing good in school but yet he still failed and no one looked up to him, he gets scolded by his teacher every single day for being unwilling to work hard. The worst part is that he also gets bullied by his classmates because Brandon is not a good-looking man. Brandon didn’t have a belief in himself and that he cannot rely to himself, he didn’t have any desires that something good will happen to him. One day, he goes to YouTube and watched videos for about an hour until he found out about Faze Rug’s channel. Faze Rug was a very inspiring Youtuber who has positive vibes in his videos and that he never fails to motivate his viewers by the content of his videos. Brandon was determined to do YouTube and was willing to prove his teachers and his classmates that they were wrong about Brandon’s success in the future. Brandon was forced to overcome his laziness because of what Faze Rug did to Brandon’s mindset. Brandon went to his parent’s bedroom, “Mom! Dad! I am dropping out of College to do YouTube for a living.” Brandon said. His parents were in shock and was speechless with what Brandon told them. His parents never agreed to that day but about a week later, Brandon’s mother said, “Brandon, I am buying you a Canon G7X for you to do YouTube.” Brandon’s eyes were very teary and he hugged his mom so tight that he burst out in tears. The day came when Brandon got his new Camera which was the Canon G7X. He started doing vlogs and basketball videos. Brandon did not start good in doing YouTube yet he never gave up. He continues on doing what he loves and what he treasures the most. Brandon promised his parents that when he becomes successful and that he becomes big on YouTube, he is willing to pay all his debts for what his parents did for him. Brandon started doing basketball videos because he was a very big fan of basketball, he started doing basketball videos talking about how to work hard and to never give up on what treasures you. He made motivational videos and by doing that, he started blowing up on YouTube and not 1 month passed by, he went from 100k subscribers to 1 million subscribers on YouTube and got the YouTube Play button. He celebrated, cried and thanked his fans whole heartedly, he paid his debts to his parents and he kept on motivating other people to do good and work hard until his fans becomes like Brandon. To this day, Brandon is living determined and vigorous. Â
