100 layers and 50 hours (with breaks) but it was worth it!!

So recently I've gotten really into the songs for the "God game" series from Epic the musical that was created by @jayherrans on YouTube!

Now the gods game intro is about Athena going to the gods to let Odysseus go with Zeus proposing a challenge to her. And I got the idea of what if Juno was trying to convince to let a challenger or like free? And that sparked this drawing!!

Each scrybe character represents a different character from the song and for those that are curious here is the line up left to right

WOOOOO HAPPY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO NSR

A few months a go i participated in a cool art thing on twitter called the "Cooper Character gaunlet" where on the 24th of each month a bunch of creators would make art work for an underrated character of the Sly cooper fandom.

And I particapated in the month where the did the Contessa! And for that event I drew my favorite scene from the contessa's cuteness in my style.

This event was hosted by a cool person on twitter named wes! Their twitter and tumblr handle is: @innawhiledubs

It was a fun thing to do and I thought I'd post my artwork here! Especially since twitter is going to hell and back, hope ya'll like it!

IT"S DONE! WOOH! I am so proud of this. To thing the og drawing i did (right) is 3 yrs old! My art has changed so much since then omg. The new drawing (left) took like 2 days with breaks and it was worth it. Hope ya'll like it!

I saw some folks reblogging and liking some old Super paper Mario art I did back in 2020. And seeing the reblogs reminded me of the drawings.

And I wanted to redraw one of the for old times sake! So i chose to redraw my old Mimi drawing to see how much my art has changed in the past like 3 years. And i'm already liking the results!

I'll post the full drawing when i finish it. But for now enjoy this side by side of the 2020 drawing (right) and the 2023 sketch I just drew (Left)

Got into Identity V lately and Keigan Keogh (The Clerk) is hands down my favorite hunter next to Nightmare. So i took a crack at drawing her by drawing her as a painting/portrait that might be hanging in the mansion.

Had a lot of fun with this!

There’s a protest going on against AI art over on artstation, so I feel like now is the time for me to make a statement on this issue! 

I wholeheartedly support the ongoing protest against AI art. Why? Because my artwork is included in the datasets used to train these image generators without my consent. I get zero compensation for the use of my art, even though these image generators cost money to use, and are a commercial product. 

Musicians are not being treated the same way. Stability has a music generator that only uses royalty free music in their dataset. Their words: “Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues.” Why is the work of visual artists being treated differently?

Many have compared image generators to human artists seeking out inspiration. Those two are not the same. My art is literally being fed into these generators through the datasets, and spat back out of a program that has no inherent sense of what is respectful to artists. As long as my art is literally integrated into the system used to create the images, it is commercial use of my art without my consent.

Until there is an ethically sourced database that compensates artists for the use of their images, I am against AI art. I also think platforms should do everything they can to prevent scraping of their content for these databases. 

Artists, speak out against this predatory practice! Our art should not be exploited without our consent, and we deserve to be compensated when our art is exploited for commercial use.

Ya'll Daisy really deserves a hug! After hearing her break down and cry in one of the VHS tapes I can't help but feel super bad for her! She's just trying to be nice to everyone and can't help her temper sometimes. She's trying her best! The gal deserves a lot of hugs and comfort
