How it all started

Summary:

As Lizzie and Clive were investigating politicians schemes for an article, Lizzie overheard a discussion her father had with one of his colleagues during an evening. Finding their idea very unethical, she decided to burst in the newspaper office later that night. She found Clive trying to fix a camera, she then decided to bring him with her inside the newspaper archives as to find proofs to bring them down.

Then, as she found out about drafts of articles proving other scandals politicians have been part of, she showed one of them to Clive. One concerning the explosion of an experiment. Clive plan started that night.

(This is kind of the prequel of this little silly comic I made a few days ago)

Future Arianna solving a puzzle!

As I created my OC, I thought about how she would look like when solving a puzzle! So here it is! I'm probably gonna breakdown how I did it in a future post.

Luke: "I'm sad"

What's happening? Luke and Future Luke are feeling sad.

I used an incorrect quote simulator and got the funniest prompt (under the "keep reading" section, contains a bit of a spoiler for Unwound Future). I like to think that our lovely future Luke lets himself feel vulnerable around his dear Arianna. And that she loves to reassure him, by giving him hugs and just saying little words of affirmation whenever he feels sad.

Meanwhile, Luke and the Professor Layton: Mood :D

This was one of my HC for Lizzie, she is someone who's really good at reassuring Clive whenever something bad happens. It was already the case back when they worked together for the same newspaper. She also was the one who motivated Clive to give his best while working. I like to think it that way, and that Clive is also the one who wants to be there for her too, as she was always there for him. I like to think that he actually just makes little things during their daily life: like bringing her snacks whenever she's working hard on an article, cleaning the house whenever she's too busy, taking over her work if she's overwhelmed by it, and more!

So basically:

They still both enjoy physical touch :)

As they were researching for an article Lizzie found some archives on the explosion of the lab that created the collapse of the building next to it. She decided to share it with her work partner, Clive. As he was taking notes on the article, completely focused on his work, Lizzie was wondering if he finished with the reading. Jumpscaring the poor reporter.

I just wanted to create a silly interaction between these two because why not. Lizzie is a silly bean!

Here's my Professor Layton OC! Future Arianna!

As one of my friend motivated me to create my own PL OC, I decided to go for lore heavy OC with a cute design.

More after the "read more" section as it includes a bit of spoilers of the Unwound Future!

Future Arianna, or Lizzie Lee is the daughter of an influent politician. She became a journalist, taking the last name of her mother to stay undercover during her work days and for her articles. She also tends to dress very masculine as she finds it easier for her to stay undercover as she investigates.

She worked with Clive since he started to work for the same newspaper as her. One day, as she was supposed to investigate the schemes and scandals of politicians, she overheard a discussion his father had with one of his guests. As this discussion was about unethical practices and would create such an uproar, she decided to take notes and talk about it with Clive.

As Clive decided to search through the archives of the newspapers to find the culprits of the death of his parents, Lizzie found the article that would tie everything together, as their plan would become reality a few years later.

To make sure their plan was on track, they investigated the past of every pawn in their play. They both decided to play as the future versions of people in the life of Hershel Layton; Clive as the future Luke Triton, and Lizzie, as the future Arianna Barde.

So yeah, they both have feelings for each other! ^^' I just didn't know how to bring that into the painting in the little summary I did a little before, so here it is: some useless facts
