Lore reasons for the villies:

Grian: he has become resentful against the watchers for forcing these games for their own entertainment so he's taking his frustrations out on the other players by forming this villainous group that causes "accidents" which "kinda" goes against the watchers rules where greens aren't allowed to kill other players. It's almost like grian wants the game to finish quickly and get the death over and done with after enduring seven seasons. He's learnt by now how this game will end which is why he chose this very different team with gem and pearl which he specifically says how he "planned beforehand" for a fresh start.

Pearl: she's experienced prejudice from the other players in double life due to her 3am pearl persona which lead her to be ostracised. Since then people usually tend to become worried when pearl turns red. So in Past life she excepts her villainous alter ego and joins grian.

(Idk abt gem because I don't watch her videos but I'd love for someone to give me any ideas for past life gem lore)

I was clipping a scene at the end of grians video (past life episode 2) where grian and mumbo have a wholesome bromantic moment.

Apparently, youtube will not let me call them "gay" *but* I can call them *queer*

Idk if this is a problem with my yt account or YouTube has banned the word "gay" or calling someone specifically "gay" in clips and if so that's either strange and worrying or f*cking hilarious 😂

Silly fact

When bdubs got his new skin back in season 7 of HC I never thought I'd get used to his massive and creepy eyes that stare into your soul

Now, the old bdubs skin makes me uncomfortable because the small eyes feel weird as if there's smth missing.

Yipeeee new life series!!!

Spoilers:

I already love the new gimmick of going back in time and I think it could inspire alot of cool animatic ideas! Also I like the more simple feel of this season with the regular last life rules since my main gripes with the newer seasons is that they have so many rules and gimmicks that it takes the spotlight away from the character connections that made the series popular in the first place. I don't know the other teams but I love the "avengers" group with pearl, gem and grian. It feels really fresh and I think there could be alot of iconic moments
