@mitoweek The masks we wear

I found this event too late,  but somehow I've manage to draw Mito. She's so lovely to draw.

Hannya mask represents female obsessed with devil. What if Kurama who is captured by Mito can possess her body sometimes? Maybe Mito (or everybody in Konoha) had troubles with being jinchuuriki at the beginning.

Need more free time to develop this idea to something interesting.

What are we?

A week long tumblr based event celebrating the first ninetails jinchūriki - Mito Uzumaki. We are pro-ship, pro-kink tomato, and overall want to cultivate an event that brings the fandom joy and more Mito content.

Who are we?

A mod who runs several different events in the fandom. Please be patient with us as this is a one-man crew.

(We use the royal 'we' because it makes us feel more professional)

Mito Week?

For this event, we are accepting content where Mito is the primary focus. This can be ship based fics or art, solo art of Mito, gif sets, handmade crafts, original music, non-ship based fics, translations of comics and fics translated with explicit permission from the original author or artist, and collaborations between creators as well.

We will have a prompt list to follow every year the event is held.

Please keep in mind that the work needs to be a new and original work for the event. Also keep in mind that AI Generated Anything is Not allowed for this event.

How can I participate?

Check out the prompt list and let those creative juices flow. Feel free to take the prompts as literally or as loosely as you'd like. If multiple prompts are listed on one single day, feel free to pick one or the other - or go with both!

Post your work (or a link to your work) on tumblr during the week, and @ our blog on the post. We will also be keeping an eye on the tag mitoweek to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

There is no minimum or maximum amount of content you can submit for the event. There are also no sign-ups required.

Is this event on AO3?

Mods will not be doing anything on AO3 for this event. You may post your content there or elsewhere if you like, but you must post a link to it on tumblr to be reblogged/promoted on this blog.

Any collections on AO3 that might use our name or collect content from this event are not officially associated with us.

What content is allowed?

Fics, art, gif sets, original music, handmade crafts, and translations. The main focus of all of these must be Mito Uzumaki.

Boruto characters are allowed. OCs are allowed. Crossovers are allowed. Dead Dove content is allowed with one exception, listed below. Explicit content is allowed, as long as the tumblr post itself does not violate tumblr's community guidelines.

What content is not allowed?

AI Generated Anything. No exceptions.

Moodboards and playlists do not qualify on their own. Feel free to add them to any of the content listed above that does qualify.

Anything that violates tumblr's community guidelines will not be reblogged. This includes content such as explicit underage fics, and uncensored explicit art of any kind. Links to explicit art of adults are fine.

Do not submit explicit art/explicit images of underage characters.

Any other rules?

Do not be an asshole. No harassing other creators for any reason. No character bashing. No ship bashing. Put kindness out into the world and kindness will find you as well.

Don't argue with the mod. Don't send hate, anon or otherwise, to the mod.

Snippets and previews are fine, but otherwise no early posting. Late submissions are allowed - message us the link so we don't miss it.

It is common practice to tag ships and content. We cannot enforce this, as we cannot look through everything submitted to verify the tags are correct, but please be considerate to others and tag your content.
