Is there a prefix similar to "sapio-" in meaning but without the ableist connotations of "sapiosexual"?
I identify as demiromantic, which is an aro-spectrum orientation. According to Asexuality Archive, “A demiromantic does not experience romantic attraction unless they have already formed a strong emotional bond with the person.” This label has been the closest of all I could find in describing the way I experience romantic attraction. However, I’ve realized that it really doesn’t explain things very well.
I already had a connection with everyone I’ve felt romantic attraction toward, but rather than being emotional (caring, trusting, showing affection) in nature tit was intellectual. By this, I mean that I could understand the person’s thought processes and hold conversations with them about complex topics that are important to me. Trusting someone with my thoughts and ideas is just as, if not more, important to me than trusting them with my feelings. I do not connect with people emotionally very often, and when I do the relationship often becomes draining. All of my close friendships have also began from an intellectual connection that expanded into an emotional connection. The form of this connection often cannot be changed, so if at that point I think of the person as a friend I will not be able to view them romantically, and if I am romantically attracted to them it often does not fade for a long time. I cannot sustain relationships of any kind on emotional connections alone, regardless of how much I care for and trust the person. I still identify as demiromantic in the sense that I need to feel an initial closeness to a person to view them romantically; however, an intellectual connection makes me feel closer to a person than an emotional one and it is necessary to feel this type of initial attraction in order to develop romantic attraction.
Is there a word that can describe this? I may continue using “demiromantic,” but it strikes me as inaccurate. I would like a word along the lines of “sapioromantic,” but with a further emphasis on personal connection and subjectivity because it seems like NTs who value quantified intelligence the same way they value trust funds and medical degrees have made any word with “sapio-” in it unspeakable. It would make sense for this word to be part of the ND-only lexicon, because it may be directly related to lack of or difficulty in emotional reciprocity.

So like, it's obvious to me reading the comments on my post that anti-porn people are largely like, afraid of porn. Like the concept of a sex video is really spooky to them. They're not making thoughtful critiques of the porn industry, which is genuinely a really fucked up industry, they're mostly just spooked by the concept of a sex video and what it could Do To You If You See It.
I said this in another post, but it's like, the difference between "a ton of coffee is produced using slave labor" (valid, important criticism of the coffee industry) and "coffee turns people into raving coffee addicts who forget how to interact with anyone because they're so obsessed with their coffee" (objectively not true, insane viewpoint).
It's literally just sex videos. They really cannot hurt you.

The Jungle Book by Rudiyard Kipling
Can you smell the tiger balm through this post 🐯
Continuing the Asian diaspora childhood essentials series (I have a bunch of other items designs planned too hehe)
✦ Wrap cover design, unfortunately the math was not mathing this time so it's not a perfect even symmetrical wrap cover 😭 ✦ used yellow and red book cloth, cut it out into pieces first and ironed the HTV design on, before using masking tape to held it all together and glue it onto the book cover ✦ Since the Jungle Book features a tiger in their story, it seemed like the best fit for this recasing hehe

First sitting pose ref here
Been working on an extensive document to flesh out Oz more, the origin of the blood manipulation power, her ancestor's backstory and how much the Celestial Court sucks, and her connection with Sun Wukong / the Destined one
The biggest tragedy is that I gave her those cool powers but she can't even use them LMFAO. I think that realistically speaking she would not be able to learn to fully control and master it in her mortal life span.
Blood Manipulation [ Marked Me Like a Bloodstain ]
An unnatural ability that laid dormant inside Oz until she got isekaid into Ancient China. Inherited from her ancestor.
List of powers that she could have if she was an immortal who has cultivated for centuries and honed her powers. Unfortunately, she is just a girl from the modern world trying to survive so the powers are wasted on her lol
Can shape her own blood into weapons and use them to fight. Risks of major blood loss
Can also turn enemies blood into weapons, provided they lost enough for her to use their blood
Can turn her blood corrosive, useful for melting objects and things. If someone swallows few drops of her blood, could melt them from the inside
Can bloodbend, control living beings like puppets, and crush internal organs
Stardust Tears [ Eyes Full of Stars ]
Tears full of stardust. Highly sought out for it’s healing properties
Drinking pure Stardust Tears can heal any poison and illness
Few drops of tears can heal any physical injuries in an instant
Can be used as an ingredient for making healing elixirs
Also able to see through transformation and disguises, and tell apart which are clones and which are not

Sometimes I forget I have a tumblr account and I should also share things here. So here’s one of my recent rebinds, The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig! It actually had signatures so I was able to sew my own endbands.
Originally I set out to do this all with inlays but for many reasons that was a complete failure and heat transfer vinyl does not have enough shades of blue, so I ordered a custom direct to film transfer which thankfully was a lot cheaper than actually buying a dtf printer.
Cover inspired by gothic windows, stained glass, and used the chapter header art for the moth and sword.

"I do not think theft is a good idea. Especially dumb shit like makeup."
Expand on that, king. (asked sincerely)
Having been inundated with the "shoplifting is fucking awesome" attitude of Tumblr for so many years, I'd like to hear your perspective.
I’m in a pretty privileged situation in that very few of my necessities are so inaccessible that I HAVE to steal, but knowing how easy it is to get caught and not know it until it’s too late and knowing how goddamn hard it is to get a job with a criminal record in my part of the world, I genuinely do not think it is a good idea to risk a criminal record for, say, lip gloss, or Cheetos, or a bottle of Diet Coke.
If you’re literally starving, or have kids you’re raising without support, or are on disability, and you get caught stealing food or medicine or school supplies, AT LEAST if you get caught and get sent to court you can say “I needed these things, I was desperate” and, seeing that you have no history and otherwise abide by the law, the judge MAY choose not to go forwards and drop charges and let you go with a warning.
If you go to court and a judge reads the evidence and says “you repeatedly stole potato chips and mascara”, what are you gonna say? “I wanted it?” When they see homeless people and addicts and single parents and felons and abuse survivors all day? They’re going to think you’re a hooligan and an idiot and if you DON’T act remorseful there’s a good chance they’re going to think you need a lesson.
or- OR- say you have a record for stealing small shit. And you get a warning. And then one day you REALLY REALLY DO need something desperately and you break the law. You’ve used up your warning, and you’re fucked.
It just… forget big business, forget capitalism, and just look at how the system operates. Big stores spend MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to catch shoplifters. They WILL SPOT YOU EVENTUALLY, and they might not even arrest you straight away (see Target’s MO, Jesus Christ).
So yeah, no, from a purely practical perspective? It seems dumb as hell to pocket shit I do not need and risk my entire future on… what, $10?
It’s like going to a party in the peak of health and just choosing to do heroin for the fun of it.
like. WHY
