i LOVE this interpretation of will's fixation on fatherhood. through a queer lens, he is chasing something that allows him to deny said queerness. he projects masculinity and heteronormativity outward and onto the idea of family. onto the idea of a daughter. but simultaneously, that desire is shared, with another man. we are her fathers now. queerness is always tied to or involved with his attempts to have a child, except with molly. where he successfully and completely shells himself into a fake world where he is the man and father he wishes he could be. the person he is without hannibal
