hi!! what degree are you doing in university? ive applied to illustration at several places but id be really interested in doing projects like what you posted with the little cyclops

I am doing a Concept art for Game and Film course, I really wanted to get into that niche and wasnt expecting there to be a course like that but there is. Although on the course we are expected to do a little bit of everything, 3D, illustration etc because the reality is, that in the games industry we will most likely be filling in multiple roles at first. If youre doing illustration im sure developing your own characters like that to draw would be a fun exercise as well, but that always depends on how much time you have because if theres one thing about uni is that it demands every hour of your day unfortunately. Like many people who have OCs its just fun in general to develop characters of your own to draw and create stories for, theres a lot of prompts online that can give you a starting point for designing. I will also say that concept art is 90% development and 10% fancy final pages, most of my time is spent doing sketches of bodytypes or pages full of head designs, and a lot of research goes into it. I dont post most of my development work because im too lazy.
