Soooo. . I may or may not have rediscovered the Chronicles and binged as much as I could. And now I'm really, really invested. And to express that, I drew the scene of C!Davis discovering what he really looks like. Enjoy!

I'm not used to drawing gore, so it's not the best, but I tried!

Haven't posted in a while cuz I didn't know what to draw. Thankfully the latest episodes of SAMS and EAPS are giving me ideas.

Anyways I didn't do a lot for Art fight since I was learning about it, but here's what I did do.

I don't hate the Eclipse x Roxanne path the show is taking.

Hear what I have to say!!

I think this relationship is necessary and I'm going to use some of my own experiences for an example.

Eclipse has no idea what romance even is. He has spent just enough time to realize that he likes the idea of dating, and he wants to know the person beforehand. That's all he's verbally stated. He really doesn't know much about what loving someone vs liking someone feels like. He doesn't have preferences at the moment. He doesn't know what he likes or what he dislikes. He basically knows nothing about himself. I think him getting into a relationship with Roxanne will be his learning experience.

I've been in a situation similar to Eclipse. I didn't spend much time thinking about couples and stuff like that. I just spent enough time thinking about it to scratch the surface. When I started to mention someone and seemed excited to talk about them, everyone immediately took it as a crush both ways. I didn't know what love really felt like so I assumed I had a crush like everyone said. What knowledge did I have to go on? None. That's the thing. So I ended up getting into a relationship with this person. During this time I learned about myself. I was able to develop and refine my romantic identity, and after a while the relationship ended. No, it wasn't a super dramatic or close relationship, but it was necessary. If I didn't take that first step and put myself into a situation where I could learn. I'd still be clueless.

I feel Eclipse will go through something similar. Everyone seems to be pushing the idea of him and Roxanne getting together. So he might start to think that what he's feeling is love and he'll go for it. He'll spend some time with Roxy in a romantic sense and slowly learn about himself. He'll start to get an idea of what love truly is and what his romantic identity truly is. But he can't learn if he has nothing to learn from. I would be happy if they ended up staying together, but I don't think that's likely. I believe that after a little while, they'll split up. Not in a toxic, tears pouring, way. On a healthy way. They'll both have their reasons and they'll come to an understanding. Then they'll go back to being the platonic co-parent friends they were before. This time with a new found understanding of themselves and the other.

I also believe that after all that happens we'll be introduced to Chica and likely get some Roxy x Chica drama. For Eclipse, we might get introduced to a new character, but that won't be for a good while. He'll spend a good amount of time single, but he'll use that time to think more of his opinion on relationships and build his understanding.

So I've had this stuck in my head for a while now. Mostly since I've started watching Davis' streams (idk why).

But finally I drew it and I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. This was inspired by Jessica and Roger Rabbit.

Now this isn't a fandom thing. Boring, I know. But it's a photo of my high school band when the Northern Lights came down during practice.

ANOTHER RAMBLE

It's 1am, but I can't get this out of my head so I'm going to write about it.

The topic of today's ramble: Emotions!!!

Okay. So you all remember how Moon had stated that he locked all of his emotions in like this mental vault? I don't think that's entirely true. Here me out here.

Moon did lock away his emotions. Back when him and Sun were still connected he locked them away. He then waited so long to open the vault again that he is now unable to do so. But. . Moon still expresses emotions. He may not be good at expressing them, but he expresses them none the less. What I believe is that Moon has a sort of remade version of his emotions. The ones he locked away behind the vault were sort of like the base of the emotions. Locking them away, however, is sort of like removing a chunk of himself. Or his code. This would basically cause his systems to start trying to fix or replace that chunk. But they didn't have that base to go off of so it just made a sort of makeshift version. Think of it like drawing a picture from memory. You get the general idea of the picture and you know what it's supposed to be, but some parts are wrong or missing. Overall it's close, but not correct. Moon's systems were trying to recreate those emotions from memory. So they are similar to the original, but not exact. That's why he feels these emotions, but aren't good with them or know how to express them properly.

Putting emotions on a scale of 1 to 10. Moon feels his emotions at around a 3 or 4. At most a 5 if they're strong, but not much higher than that.

Moving on to the next part. Eclipse. I know I talked about him last time. He's my favorite. Sue me.

As I mentioned earlier, Moon locked those emotions away before him and Sun separated. Meaning he locked them away before him and Eclipse seperated. Logically that would mean Eclipse has that same kind of vault. When they separated, it came with him. But here's where Eclipse and Moon differ. You'd think Eclipse would have a more wide range of emotions even with his systems rebuilding them, but that's not the case. He's almost always angry. No matter the situation good, bad, small, big, he's always mad. At least to some extent. And I believe that has to do with him being mostly kill code. It was said in recent videos that Eclipses are made of part Sun and part Moon, but have way more Moon than they do Sun. This Moon part, obviously, is the kill code. It has been stated many times that the kill code reacts to the presence of anger. So anger=active. Eclipse is at the very least 90% of this kill code. Sun even said that Eclipse and KC are basically the same person. The would end up altering how his systems rebuilt his emotions. His code wasn't including all emotions, the only one it really cared about was anger since that's what kept it going. Moon had the rest of his code to help build his emotions back up. Eclipse only has one section dedicated to one emotion. So his systems have spent all of this time building up that one emotion since it was the only one that mattered. He can feel the other emotions as well, but they aren't very strong. His anger will still peek through even when he's happy. I believe the main reason he is able to feel much besides anger is because of that Sun portion that makes him up. But there's not a lot of it. If you've noticed, when Eclipse isn't angry he's just sort of blank. He's kind of deadpan and monotone. He feels these different emotions, but they are pretty weak.

Putting Eclipse's emotions on a scale of 1 to 10. His base is more so around a 1 to 2. Maybe a 3. His anger; however, is much higher towards the top of that scale ranging from 7 to 10 usually.

I feel like Eclipse would have an energy drink packed with so much caffeine you can't sleep. To go along with his sleep avoidance.

I also named it Solar Energy because I knew he'd absolutely hate the name.

This is supposed to take place after Eclipse returns to the original dimension and Taurus keeps his word.

The Star Eclipse post seemed to get a good about of attention so I figured I'd draw something else.

I was inspired by @immortaledd 's post about Eclipse and the Virus. It got me thinking though. What would Eclipse have looked like if he had a physical form while in that out of body state? Aka the Star.

I sort of based this off of the Astrals a little bit cuz they are the only (positive) star entities we really see sooooo

ECLIPSE RAMBLING!

Not sure if this would be considered a theory or headcanon or what, but-

Do you think Eclipse has problems with his identity? I mean like his actual identity, who he is.

From the very beginning Eclipse struggled with coming to terms with who he was now. In one of the earliest episodes (one where Sun was destroying the old pizzerias) Eclipse comes out at some point. During this time he shouted "I AM MOON!" Then had to correct himself realizing that he wasn't and he was supposed to be mimicking Sun. If I'm remembering correctly, this was before Eclipse revealed himself as Eclipse. Meaning he was still in the mentally that he was Moon.

We see something like this much later when Nexus, before he was Nexus, took him to Earth for therapy. He started rambling on and at some point said something along the lines of ". . And being the original m-" then cut himself off. You can hear that M sound before he stops implying he was about to say Moon. So even then he was still clinging to the idea of being his old self again.

Once he gets to his new dimension in EAPS, he starts to talk about how he used to be a killcode. Not THE killcode because he knew that guy was dead and he couldn't be him. He also talked about how the Moon here was acting how he used to. However he would always say something like "back then" instead of "when I was still Moon", suggesting he's come to terms in a way that he never was Moon.

Now we have some of our more recent moments with other characters having the same name as him. Starting with Eklipse. The second the guy found out who Eclipse was he started to call him "the fake one" or "the imposter". Our original retaliated with calling the other "freak", but now he's stopped. If you hear him mention the broken down version he will call him Eklipse.

Leading into our next guy, Ruin. In one of the most recent episodes "Ruin Snaps", Monty calls Ruin by his original name. Eclipse responds with: "What?" Likely out of confusion because she was on Ruin's side. But then she responded with. "His name's Eclipse, not just Ruin." And after that Eclipse stays silent. I can't be the only one to think that had some sort of impact on the guy. Because then he says if anything goes wrong he's doing his plan and leaves.

A slight moment here, not really involving other people, is Eclipse's break down. When he starts to cry to Roxy about the problem at hand and how he's failing, he starts to question he purpose. Saying things like "If I can't fix this, what am I good for?" And "If I'm not the smart guy, who am I?" This shows that Eclipse puts more on what he can do than who he is as a person.

Getting a little obscure here, but I don't think it's too far out. Let's focus on Solar. We all know Eclipse and Solar don't like each other. Solar because Eclipse was, and still sort of is, a terrible guy. Eclipse hates Solar, not just because he hates everybody, but because he sees Solar as the preferred version. In one of his conversations with Puppet (Matt), she tries convincing Eclipse to stay because there are people who care about him, and that he could become a part of the family. Eclipse responds with saying something along the lines of "They have the one they want." I'd say Eclipse is kind of jealous of Solar, because he got to have everything that was taken from him since day 1. He got the life Moon had taken from him with the separation. And I'm sure Solar getting better and being a part of the family doesn't help because it shows that Eclipse had multiple chances to make that a reality, but didn't do it.

Finally I'll end with the Mimic. The Mimic showed that people really didn't like Eclipse's personality. He could go by any name and have any face, but if it's the real him in control then people will steer away. This is seen especially on the first day Mimic has control. They started to act a little bit nicer to everyone and immediately everybody said how much they prefered the "New Eclipse". The Mimic had also made multiple mistakes on Eclipse's behavior, but nobody seemed notice. The Mimic was making people happy even when he went back to being more mean like the real Eclipse. It took people a month to find out and by then the Mimic had basically revealed himself.

I feel like all of this is creating this identity crisis in himself. Because if he isn't Moon, Solar, KC, or Eclipse. Who is he? The smart one? No, because there are more people just as smart or smarter than him. Maybe if he was someone else? But that wouldn't work because he'd still be the same jerk everyone gets mad at.

Yes, Eclipse needs to work on his attitude in order to improve, but if we're going on the idea of "his true self", then he might feel like he's running out of options.
