Trepan doubted Orion would make much headway on that thing. Studies of the mind, frame and spark. Countless degrees on the wall? Even he couldn't crack these little things. Then again, he hadn't studied to solve puzzle toys. Give him a processor, and he could crack it in minutes.

"So true, so true. Whoever they are, they are very clever not to try and pawn anything they find up there. Makes it so much harder for authorities to narrow it down, hm?"

Orion shrugs, focusing on the task at hand. He was figuring out this puzzle! It was hard, though, having to go and retrace his previous steps when he hit a proverbial wall as he got stuck.

"No idea what you mean." He hums, "There are a lot of little guys like me, how would you even know if the image was blurry?"

This guy is probably right, though. Orion was the one always bound getting into trouble. He's certainly made a name for himself more or less, especially among the coggless community of bots.

"My own peace and quiet" He sighs, datapad powered down and set aside in his lap to regard the little mech. Clearly not going to get any of that today. First the honking shenanigans in Iacon, can't blame him for wanting solitude.

"... I know you. You are that blurry little Iacon's Most Wanted image that turns up on the announcement screens every few weeks" Trepan scoffs, wondering why he hadn't noticed sooner.

Orion simply grumbles in response, turning the cube over in his servos as he continues to look at it. Maybe it was a distraction for him, but he wasn't about to be entertainment for someone else!

"What lead you to want to help? The kindness in your spark?" Orion snorts, turning around the cube as he flips and switches the pieces around. It was a tricky little puzzle, that's for sure.

"Debatable." 'Nimbus' shrugs, happy perusing his datapad.

"You proclaimed wanting a distraction. I provided"

Slides him a Rubix cube.

"If you finish it, it pops out a treat"

It does not pop out a treat.

He's gonna snatch that cube from you and inspect it.

Servo sliding to his lip plates to press, fighting back the wave of nausea as while she had stopped creeping closer, her optic just slid from her helm to dart closer to better examine him. Ugh. He usually had pretty good tanks, but that was involving offline people when parts came out. Alive? And unbothered about it? Primus, he wants to purge.

"You seem quite eager to aid me, or move me from my current location. Why is that? No one is that nice" Look. In Trepan's defence, he's a pretty paranoid fella when it comes to people being nice to him. Was it a trap? Was it a trick? Were they going to abduct him again? Would they just kill him in an alley? Was he being mugged? He hasn't exactly had the best life pre, during and post war... Someone who looks like a quintesson in armour doesn't help, either.

Mourningstar’s looming silhouette hovered a safe couple feet away from Trepan, and her helm tilted in puzzlement. She stopped moving closer to him, but her helm moved just a tiny bit closer before one of her optics snaked out of its socket to get a closer look at him.

“But… Hmmm…” The femme softly fussed, her black lips forming a frown. “Do you need help getting to a medbay? I’m not in a rush to go anywhere, and it may be safer to travel together,” She suggested, her droning deep yet feminine voice tinged with hopefulness.

Whether she herself was just that lonely, or if she was that worried about the current condition of the mnemosurgeon, it seemed like she really did mean only good intentions… Of course, it didn’t help that said help was slinking towards him like a Cybertronian cryptid seconds ago.

Servo sliding behind his back and the wall, hovering near his subspace at this thing hunkering low and creeping towards him, and Trepan is weighing up the pros and cons of drawing his volt gun. His optic is too fuzzy to make a shot count, but it was a large gun and loud, and thats all he would really need to get a few seconds head start.

"Quite sure. Just a cracked optic. Looks worse than it is on a smaller frame, like me"

Primus. And he thought only Overlord could make his plating feel like scraplet were scuttling up his spine.

"I appreciate your offer, but I am quite alright. I would hate to keep you from the rest of your day. I'll be fine" Trepan hummed, downplaying how much his helm was throbbing and his frame ached at being knocked to the ground. If he's leaking anything, its probably coolant from his spinal canisters than any actual energon.

Mourningstar did her best to make herself look as harmless as possible, wanting her actions to show that she meant no harm. It was scary in the backstreets, and given what she was told, she had to be careful as well. Moving on all four of her long, gangly limbs; the femme slowly crept towards Trepan while keeping her unblinking red optics aimed on his injured form.

“Are you sure…?” She tentatively asked in a low drawl. “You’re not bleeding energon badly, are you?” Mourningstar added while stretching her skinny neck out further towards the mnemosurgeon until her doll-like visage was within his line of sight. “Is there anything I can do to help you?”

A sharp flinch, both at the sting of energon in his cracked optic and the sudden voice, and Trepan was twisting his helm to get the current company in range of his lenses and good optics warily.

"Please don't. I am fine"

He'd been doing so well keeping to the backstreets, not even sure the brute who knocked him down even saw let alone felt their collission. The woes of civilian meets bruiser. He's lucky all he had for his trouble was dented plating, and busted optic.

what's the deal with robot food?

Energon is fuel, food, blood, ammunition– if it’s Cybertronian, it likely runs on energon.

There are two distinctive kinds of energon, “pink” (ferrum positive) and “blue” (ferrum negative).

Pink energon! Most Cybertronians are ferrum positive, so pink energon is a little more common than the blue compound, which means if you have a ferrum allergy you need to be careful about what you order from Swerve’s. This stuff is also notorious for staining polish and stripping off paint when in liquid form. Raw pink energon is explosive when exposed to heat.

In contrast, here’s some blue energon. Because of the lack of ferrum, blue energon is easier to consume and more stable around heat, but those on ferrum negative diets are often advised to take supplements to ensure they’re ingesting enough necessary minerals to promote healthy nanite populations both on their plating and on their protoforms. Your local med/canic can provide more of a basis on what supplements would be best for you.

Both pink and blue energon can come in different levels of refinement, ranging from “low” grade (your typical rations, which depending on size and altmode, may be anywhere from a single cube to twelve cubes staggered out over an orn, typically graded around F, commonly referred to in slang as ‘fuel’) to “high” grade (fancy stuff, known to have a bit of a kick, anywhere from A to C).

The highest known grade of energon is produced solely in Vos, using pink energon as a base. The refinement process is so thorough and involved that even the lowest end grade exported from Vos is completely clear.

Though liquidated energon is by far the most commonly consumed form, it possesses a most curious ability to be manipulated into other states of matter, which is often exploited to create gummies, blocks, sweets, goodies, oil cakes, and even powdered energon. (Our dear doctor is a very big fan of treats.)

Raw energon, or unrefined energon, is harder to process and can leave a mech feeling sluggish. The most common use for unrefined or raw energon is ammunition and fuel for mechanical beings without sparks.
