Tomorrow X Together (TXT) open minisode 2: Thursday's Child lead single “Good Boy Gone Bad” with a symbolic burial — but there’s no mourning in sight. Instead, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai take on an unapologetic stance. They reintroduce themselves amid a new story of heartbreak and its cathartic aftermath. “This broken feeling is not too bad,” Soobin sings in Korean during the pre-chorus. “I feel free now,” Beomgyu proclaims later on.
There’s plenty of anger in this Gen Z breakup song, Soobin tells Teen Vogue over Zoom. “‘Good Boy Gone Bad’ is about a boy experiencing his first breakup [from a love] that he thought was going to last forever,” he says. But anger is a bridge, a connector to a new era of life and growth. Fitting, then, that this vignette comes in the form of their second minisode, a concept they first introduced in October 2020 with minisode 1: Blue Hour. As Soobin and Taehyun explained back then, the EP served as a link between The Dream Chapter and whatever series would come next. Now, as The Chaos Chapter also comes to an end, TXT are reviving the minisode concept with yet another bridge. Where will this one lead them? When the title for minisode 2: Thursday's Child was unveiled in April, MOAs scoured for clues at full tilt. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed an Easter egg nestled in TXT’s Melon Music Awards stage from early December 2021. Interposed with fairy tale-style narrations and dynamic dance breaks, TXT performed ”0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” and “LO$ER=LO♡ER.” To close out the performance, the words “Thursday’s Child Has Far to Go” appeared on the screen, teasing the title of minisode 2 and, as we would later learn, an entire song of the project. Hueningkai reveals to Teen Vogue that the album has actually been nine months in the making, and they have been slowly but surely building it up until its full bloom.
The main theme of the album is clear: heartbreak. The animation that announced the project’s title showed the logo of The Dream Chapter series metamorphosing into minisode 2’s with the heart that formed the main motif shattering. Later, the company also revealed a detailed promotion schedule where we would learn that concepts such as “mess,” “end,” and “hate” would play a crucial part in minisode 2. It signaled a full-on angsty era, while also cleverly playing with a social media algorithm that privileges negative content: “END TXT,” “TXT MESS,” and “HATE TXT” all trended on Twitter, which as many noted, tricked potential haters with album promo

South Korean music group Tomorrow x Together on Monday said they have tried to dig deep into the “dark themes” of human emotions which erupt after a heartbreak in their fourth EP titled ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’, .
Also called TXT, the band performed two songs from their upcoming album — the lead single “Good Boy Gone Bad” and “Trust Fund Baby” at the Global Media Showcase which was live streamed on YouTube from Seoul.
The quintet — comprising Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai — described the lead single “Good Boy Gone Bad” as a hardcore hip hop song with rock sound.
Group leader Soobin said the lead track talks about an innocent boy who experiences his first break-up and goes through many complex emotions.
“For this album, it’s different emotions a boy goes through after breaking up with his first love and (we included) different genres of music.
“Thursday is a day in the middle of the week but somehow it feels like the weekend, right? Just like that we expressed the emotions of a boy who experienced a break-up from the transitional period moving from a boy into an adult,” he added.
The title of the EP draws inspiration from an Old English nursery rhyme based on the days of the week, and Taehyun said the name can be interpreted in more than one way since TXT has a “long way to go”.
HueningKai said “Good Boy Gone Bad” is all about the boy, the subject of all their creations till date, who feels the sense of loss, rage and other distinct intense emotions after experiencing his first break-up.
“This song shows how an innocent boy goes rough and dark. We’re going to bring new performances and dark themes which are quite different from what we’ve tried before,” he said.
According to TXT, “Trust Fund Baby”, which is the B-side song of the EP, is a pop ballad that depicts a cynical attitude towards the world where one can’t be in love if they’re poor.
Talking about this song, Taehyun said he was inspired to pen the lyrics of “Trust Fund Baby” while playing a video game.
“I really resonated with this theme and I thought that I was able to write the lyrics to this song really well. I actually was inspired by playing a game… I’m sure a lot of people say teams truly resonate with a song,” he said.
Asked to comment on the evergreen charm of the rock genre, Taehyun said it “comes back every time people think it is dead”.
“Our voices suit the genre,” the member said, adding that he listens to American rock band Nirvana.
Beomgyu, who served as the producer on ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’, said he was thrilled to play an important role in the band’s discography. It marks his return as producer for the first time in two years since “Maze in the Mirror”.
“It’s the first time actually for all of the members working on all the songs so I was really happy about that. We were happy about this opportunity. I think that we can make any genre into our own,” he said.
“Now that we have four years under our belt, our teamwork has become even stronger and every member is growing in their own way and achieving their goals,” he added.
TXT has put “our hearts and soul” into this EP, said Yeonjun.
“We had a lot of fun. I think we’ll probably become the leaders of the fourth generation K-pop with this,” he said.   Yeonjun also recalled Big Hit Music founder and Hybe Corporation chairman Bang Si-hyuk telling him that he had “complete faith” in the capabilities of TXT. Singer Lee Hyun, who is signed to Big Hit Music as a solo artiste, said “the album will be a hit”, the member said.
TXT, who made their music debut in 2019, will embark on their maiden world tour this year and meet their fan group MOA (Moment of Alwayness) face-to-face for the first time.
“We’re finally having our world tour for the first time since our debut and we’re really excited,” Taehyun added.
Other three songs on the tracklist of ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ are: “Opening Sequence”, “Lonely Boy”, and “Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go”.
TXT will release the album today💙💙

For context, today were the MMA's and TXT performed two songs (With Anti-Romantic playing on the intro, 0X1=LOVESONG, LO$ER=LO♡ER feat a special appearance of Noze from SWF) and everything was going accordingly until this happened.
For those who don't know, TXT usually give little hints/spoilers for their upcoming comebacks during end of the year award shows, this was during 2020 before the release of The Chaos Chapter.
So, what can we say from an 8 second outro of TXT? Well, a lot actually.
Disclamer: What I will be discussing are simple possible references, I'm not claiming any of these are actually accurate to what TXT will be representing in their next comeback.
First of all let's focus on the obvious, the sentence "Thursday's Child Has Far To Go". After a quick little search I realized two things, first, it's part of a poem (?) a nursery rhyme (I'm sorry if I don't know the right way of saying this, English isn't my first language) and also the term "Thursday's Child" are a book by Eartha Kitt, another book by Kathleen Lukens and Carol Panter, a movie by Rodney Ackland and a song by David Bowie (amongst others)
I read through all these references and they have one thing in common, when they refer to Thursday's child, they usually mean someone who is destined to success, talent, potential and overall a good life BUT who's simultaneously an outcast and basically someone who has to go through a lot despite being destined to success which fits their universe incredibly well.
Now, the question is, how does this tie to Yeonjun… well, offing himself and honestly I do not know but one thing I know is that it reminded me a lot of this scene of a famous, japanese video game I played (Persona 5) where something like this happens, where, basically, a group of outcasts fake an entire offing oneself ceremony so they can keep helping society, it's pretty interesting tbh because it also ties to the concept of the mask, persona 5 has a whole thing with them and with their meaning and Yeonjun is wearing a mask himself so I was like ooooh okay that's, I've seen that before and I like what they're doing with it, also the main character of that story is called "Joker".
So, are we about to see TXT's joker era? maybe, I guess we'll find out sooner than later.
What are your thoughts on this?

BY MOANYA9
JANUARY 20, 2022
BIGHIT MUSIC
It’s official, MOA might just be the luckiest fandom in the whole world. Our fave 4th Gen It Boys TXT have announced their third fan live meeting MOA X TOGETHER, once again truly spoiling us rotten. Following 2020’s DREAM X TOGETHER and 2021’s SHINE X TOGETHER, we cannot believe that TXT are not only doing the third fan live of their career but already celebrating the third anniversary of their debut!
Follow Tomorrow X Together
on Bandsintown
2021 was an incredible year for TXT, so they have a lot to celebrate on their third birthday! From the release of albums THE CHAOS CHAPTER: FREEZE and THE CHAOS CHAPTER: FIGHT OR ESCAPE, to Japanese EP CHAOTIC WONDERLAND, to all their achievements on and off stage, TXT truly didn’t stop. Now, with hints like Yeonjun not-so-subtly covering his hair, we can practically smell a new era incoming, so MOA X TOGETHER could be the perfect way for TXT to wrap up this chapter if that’s what they’re aiming for.
