happy pride month I'm tired of the "I don't want to be your dirty little secret" trope for queer couples in media. specially when one of them Just Realized/ is in an unsafe environment to come out/has trauma about it. nuance nuance exceptions etc But it's usually very boring to watch and all it manages is to make me annoyed at the person that wants the other to come out for them
#also when they add the “your partner is going to be a shithead to you in public to not be outed” is annoying too#like congrats writers now i hate both of them 🙄#im sure they're exceptions to this and this trope can be done in a cool and exciting way or smt but i cant think of any examples
