Quinta Brunson just became the second Black actress in Emmys history to win Lead in the Comedy category, 42 years after Isabel Sanford won for The Jefferson.

Claire a thorn in my Sydcarmy side, you’re so right why all of a sudden he couldn’t use the heat at the apartment. It’s not like Claire was going to be there.
MAN THERE WAS HEAT AT 'THE APARTMENT '!
CARMY told Syd he had to draw the food for the menu because there was no heat (I guess at the restaurant), during renovation to show her.
I was confused
I was like ' man what are you talking about?'
You started off the season all hot and heavy asking her IN FRONT OF EVERYONE to go work at 'the apartment '.
What? You forgot that you guys were doing that?
All of a sudden you can't have Syd over because you're seeing Claire?
Ask yourself why Carmy
Why can't you just WORK on the menu at the apartment anymore?
CARMY had me twisted man.
Had my mood like
Ey he had me so upset I was mouthing 'nobody want to see your ole raggedy drawings man'
-My talk of the table scene usually focuses on Carmy, and I need to give Sydney my focus in this informal observation. Ayo plays Sydney's fear really well, and I can't get my mind off Sydney's reactions for the last few days. My interpretations of Sydney in this scene differ at times. Carmy let her down in the middle of the season, and it's like his promises are a surprise- but maybe she's realizing how intense the moment is getting between them.
I wouldn't even wanna do it without you. Syd realized the intensity a few minutes earlier than Carmy- particularly when he says I wouldn't even want to do it without you. She sort of moves her eyes like she's registering what he's saying at that moment and even stops what she's doing. She closes her eyes for a second like she's relieved he feels this way. Ayo's reactions are subtle, and I wonder if Storer had Sydney on her side where we only see her profile for a reason. This is the moment, in my opinion, where the conversation is steering to subtext.
You make me better at this was mentioned before, but the small tightening of her throat after she said you make me better at this show Carmy's words moved Sydney, and despite her fears, she admits she feels the same way. But she also shrugs like it's obvious that they inspire each other. This table scene is the first time they define what their relationship means. They don't have the label, but they know how important they are in their lives. You make me better at this; it could mean life- you make me better at existing in this world. Maybe they don't need the "I love you "- I'm even surprised I'm saying I love you- these two have known each other for 6 seconds- they're practically strangers, but this scene makes you think they've known each other for years.
I won't let you- The reaction is similar to I wouldn't even want to do this with you. She moves her eyes again- this time to meet Carmy's gaze. It's like it's hitting her that he's making a vow to be by her side. I didn't add this part but she holds his eye contact for what seems like a long minute and once this last vow is made- she looks away but Carmy looks away first- like he's finally realizing what he's saying.
You're not alone. This is the moment I wondered if Syd realizes her feelings for Carmy or what he's feeling towards her. She's also ready for Carmy to be the one to say more this time- because she needs to know that he won't let her down.
In Season 2, her biggest fear is failing in this partnership. Besides failing this new business venture- Syd is afraid to fall in love(again?). She's afraid to get close to someone. She practically ran off when Marcus asked her out. But here she's trying to be open. To try love again is one of the keys to living and Syd is learning in this moment how to fall.
