Recognised Battersea power station in the background while watching the PV for 青いイナズマ today

Visited Battersea power station last summer mostly because it was featured on the album cover of Pink Floyd’s animals. Ironically enough it’s now a shopping mall🤣

I’m convinced that tsuyoshi actually has a long lost sister in Taiwan after seeing this pic🤣

Used to think tominaga ai could be the celebrity who looks like tsuyoshi the most but I’m not really sure abt that any more XD

Watched a video abt nakayama miho and found that the relationship between her, kimura takuya and kudo shizuka is a bit complicated. miho and shizuka used to be besties until miho’s bf tahara toshihiko cheated on her with shizuka. It was a huge shock to miho. She felt deeply betrayed by shizuka and decided to cut her off.

However, she seems to have a really good relationship with takuya as he has tried to set her up with some of his friends. He first introduced the footballer nataka hidetoshi to her. Dunno too much abt this guy but he’s a playboy and has dated many Asian celebrities. Later, he introduced another playboy friend noguchi tsuyoshi to her, who’s also his long time stylist. Miho was really into him and even considered marrying him but he can���t be faithful to her so she ended up breaking up with him too.

I would put takuya yes cards in my phone case tho. I remember one day my manager saw this pic and asked me if this guy was my bf🤣

Visited the only muji shop in Ireland in Dublin just to check muji photo album that my friend said would fit Johnny’s photos perfectly. However, they only had the 256 pockets ones in stock, which cost around 15 euros.

I also found a photo frame that fit perfectly with Johnny’s merch. Unfortunately, this one is also quite expensive for me, abt 17 euros or sth.

Takuya’s eyes and Princess Diana’s back remind me how good it is to be alive.

Albert Leung, who wrote the lyrics of this song, is a very big fan of takuya. He said he wrote the lyrics for 紅豆(red bean), one of Faye Wong’s most famous mandarin songs, after watching a scene in concerto where Hana was crying while cooking kintoki, which is a type of big red beans in Japan, knowing that she was abt to break up with Kakeru.

Back to this photoshoot session, I remember reading it somewhere that it took place in a swimming pool in a fancy 5-star hotel. They had to wait until around 6pm to start shooting when the lighting was most flattering and perfect for creating such a mysterious vibe.

Some of these are quite obvious like 芹田, 蛯名, and 柿谷 which already have food-related kanjis in them. And some of them are kinda reflective of these characters’ personalities. Banana in natsuki’s name is so cute, yellow one the outside and white on the inside. Mirin, the quintessential Japanese seasoning is symbolic of rinko’s cooking style, incorporating traditional Japanese ingredients into French cuisine. It’s no coincidence that both names of aizawa and kyono, who used to work with obana back in Paris, contain a type of seaweed. The versatility of wakame is representative of aizawa’s talent for paring ingredients. Nori, on the other hand, is very dry like kyono, difficult to eat it alone. Kyono is like nori in that he always needs partners.

Just joined the Takuya Kimura fan club↖(^ω^)↗ but won’t be able to get the physical fan card before arriving in Japan in November. Plan to see him on 23rd of nov in Nagoya cos I managed to get the ticket for Sheena Ringo’s gig the next day in Saitama.

Ah not sure if I’m going to apply for the C&C secret menu for meeting with takuya at backstage since I’m already broke bc i got 4 out of 5 tour dates for ringo-san’s tour and no refund unless the gigs are cancelled 😵. Plus the ddl for application is Friday next week, which means i have to make a decision within the next few days. However, the price for the fan club version album is acceptable for me, around 17 quid. It seems really weird to me that the application for tour dates hasn’t started yet but you can apply for after-show fan meetings on different dates already. Like what if you are selected for one of fan meetings but don’t get the ticket for that concert?

We have a Japanese chef in the restaurant I work in and his surname is also 尾花 Obana. It’s so funny cos the only Japanese chef I knew before I met him was Obana Natsuki from Grand Maison Tokoyo and he’s the first Japanese chef I knew irl. What a coincidence! 🤣As far as I know, 尾花 is not a very common Japanese surname.

Second time seeing HK ppl mistyping kimura’s surname 木村 as 木材🤣

It really confused me the first time I saw a HK true crime YouTuber did that for the subtitles of one of his videos. Actually there are two typos here. The first one 木材 could be mistyping due to similarity between 村 and 材 as the Cantonese pronunciations for these two characters are quite different. The second typo is likely due to similar pronunciations of 拓 and 托 in Cantonese.

me went to watch the boy and the heron for the same reason lol. It’s typical of Wong Kar War movies to be aesthetically pleasing and narratively confusing at the same time. I believe takuya was confused as well when shooting this film. Like every WKW movie, this film was shot without a script and the director just told takuya that you’re waiting for someone. Wong Kar War said the reason that he wanted Kimura Takuya to be in his movie was because he saw a pic of takuya dressed in Qing dynasty concubine clothes with full makeup and he reminded him of the famous 60s HK actress 尤敏, Lucillia You. He said he didn’t get it why every female colleague in his office was obsessed with kimuta at that time until he saw this pic. So he decided to contact takuya directly instead through their manager. And I’ve heard a conspiracy theory in the SMAP fandom that their manager 飯島三智 rejected a lot of job offers for takuya and that’s why he only appeared in a handful of movies during his hey day.

Here’s a pic of Lucillia You I think that resembles takuya the most. It seems to be the cover of a Japanese magazine. She was popular in Japan too in the early 60s as she participated in some HK-Japanese productions.

But personally I think 蔡思貝 is the HK actress that resembles takuya the most. She said she definitely took it as a compliment

watched this movie for takuya kimura only for him to have 10 minutes of screen time after the 1h20m mark. beautifully shot movie, very melancholic and pretty spicy movie. a bit confusing but that's my fault, maybe i should have read the synopsis before going in totally blind lmao. (2046, 2004)

I visited the filming location of the wedding scene in long vacation in London yesterday. Didn’t know it was filmed in London until I saw someone posting abt it on the internet. But still, as someone who has a really bad sense of directions, it took me quite awhile to find these places, even though I was following the OP’s instructions.

The first two pics were taken in and around Holland park, a very posh neighbourhood. The church is called St John’s church, about 2 miles away from Holland park. I don’t understand why they ended up choosing this very plain-looking church for the wedding scene, which I wouldn’t even bother looking at if I walk past it.

Anyway, I’m glad that I managed to find most of the places that appeared in the scene but would definitely consider visiting this area again to find the rest (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎).
