With VnC's return next month, I've decided to review some plot points and world-building facts that might show up in the next arc! I'm sharing in case anyone else finds it useful😊 Feel free to add/correct info as well!

Marquis Machina sent the Dhampir Trio to Gévaudan to retrieve the Alteration Device's core. They found it, but were quickly attacked by Gano and two other chasseurs working for Lord Ruthven;

Thus, the Core is currently in Ruthven's hands. The Vampire Senate is unaware of this.

Marquis Machina wanted Vanitas to be involved with the Gévaudan incident;

The most recent attacks in Gévaudan were not committed by Jean-Jacques, but orchestrated by someone else (probably Ruthven) in order to distract Vanitas from another incident;

Apparently, there was an incident in Bretagne, where a "troublesome curse-bearer" manifested. If Vanitas knew about it, he'd rather check this out instead; someone wanted to prevent that.

The Alteration Device utilizes a Divine Tear Stone — the same present in the Book of Vanitas;

Most of the vampire senators were happy when they felt Faustina's presence. They want to find Chloé and discover what triggered it;

Some see Jeanne as a pawn, since she's Luca's weakness. This is one of the main reasons she escaped punishment after letting Chloé live and run away;

Jeanne is currently a Bourreau and can only achieve the title of Chevalier after performing an act of merit;

Ruthven tried to murder Luca;

Luca's older brother, Loki, is a curse-bearer and is kept locked up;

There seems to be a Vampire Eradication Faction within the church, and Astolfo is being manipulated by Charles into becoming their perfect symbol;

Roland and Olivier are both very wary of this and have been discussing the issue for a while.

Charles planned for Astolfo to hate Roland;

The Comte de Saint Germain (Teacher) claims to be able to bring Luna back to life;

This goes against Vanitas's desire to erase their existence.

Comte de Saint Germain says that his goal is world peace. It's suggested that this goal is/was shared with another person;

Comte de Saint Germain despises Ruthven;

It is likely that Comte de Saint Germain and Marquis Machina served the Queen together in the past;

Vanitas and Noé want to investigate the Teacher. To do so, Vanitas is trying to reach Marquis Machina;

Dhampirs are being accused of spreading a dangerous drug in both the human and vampire realms. This will likely be used as an excuse to further persecute or ban them;

Dhampirs protected by Marquis Machina bear her mark. It's argued that the damphir(s) behind the drug incident is/are not one of them;

According to Marquis Machina, Kresnik, a dhampir hero whose eyes can neutralize vampire's powers, is not just a fictional character, but a real person;

“Altus” is a collective of closed spaces created by Babel. They are covered in a thick mist that prevents humans from traveling through them. The individual spaces are linked by borders; the border between Altus and the human world is only one of many;

A treaty exists between humans and vampires. In it, humans offer resources to vampires in exchange for high-quality Astermite, which is found in Altus;

This is one of the reasons for the truce between humans and vampires.
