There is a choice you can make in guardians of azuma that has a massive impact on the game. I assumed one option would lead to a game over and didn't choose it, this was a huge mistake that I hope to steer people away from. MASSIVE Spoiler under the cut.

After the second battle with the other protagonist, you are given the option of making a deal with the black dragon to save their life. To me, the way this choice is presented and worded made me think it would give a bad ending and force a reload. You are given multiple chances to back out of it and Woolby is pleading with you not to do it as it would end horribly for all of Azuma.

As it turns out, taking the deal costs little and lets you save them. I am currently speeding through a second playthrough to get back to this point but this is a long game.
