Reflection on the trip

I know a lot of you must be wondering how I feel about leaving. I'm obviously depressed. Leaving consistent 75 degree weather for snow and sleet back home in jersey shouldn't sound appealing to anyone. After being here for close to 2 weeks it's easy to see why so many ppl that I met said they had moved to the state. Why wouldn't u wanna be here?? And Santa Monica/ Venice area is just ... Perfect. But really. I can't say that I wouldn't love to live here. But I will say that most ppl I met here also loves Chicago .. Which is great news. Because that is where I would love to go next. Specially for another hair cutting class, a men's one this time. But I would plan that for August. So if things add up financially, maybe I will be certified in 2 sassoon courses by the end of the year 😁😁 On another note, haley and I have already decided that this isn't goodbye but more so a see you later. We definitely want to come back !!! And we definitely will. And to all my family and friends who have traveled here with me, keeping up with my posts and pics, thank you. Having all the support was really helpful the first week I was here alone. This was one of the hardest, scariest, best things I could have done for myself, by myself. And the love and support from everyone helped me through. I love you all. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 Thanks for having me Cali.

Last night in Cali

Ok so for our last day haley and I decided to take it slow. We woke up and rented bikes again. It was the perfect morning for another bike ride. 😁😁 loved it. And even better, I didn't fall this time. We then finished shopping. Spent way too much money. Duh. Then we had our "night out" which consisted of dressing way too fancy for the laid back Santa Monica and haley begged me to take uber for a 3 block walk😒😒😒😒 I said no. And she now has blisters which she'll continue to point out for the next few days. We went to BOA which was highly recommended by clients of mine. It was a nice steakhouse with amazing food that held up to its reputation and they even comped our desert after we told our waitress we were headed back to jersey in the morning. It was their gift to us for our last night. So sweet. Just like the desert 👍 I'm writing this now from my bed.. Ira almost midnight here and we organized our bags so we have little todo before we leave in the morning.... EARLY morning 😣 flight @730 and well arrive about 4 pm back in jersey. I'm planning on sleeping on the plane so ✌️crossed. Here's to a safe flight.

San{Diego} zoo

Sooooo we went to the zoo today. Being that it's world known. We saw all the animals we wanted to see and it was pretty cool. As for San Diego itself, being that we only had half a day here and not a couple of days in a row, there's not much I can say about it as a city. Which sucks because so many of my friends love it there. It is very different from Santa Monica though. And I can tell you already that I'm sold on the Santa Monica // Venice beach area. It's just wayyyy too nice there. The whole atmosphere is great and I love it. No worries though because I plan on saving up as soon as I get back to jersey bc this jersey girl already can't wait to be back on the west coast, maybe not permanently but definitely for a round 2 and maybe with some more friends to join along. 😁😁 And I will be sure to set aside certain days just for San Diego so that we can do it justice the second time. So we're back on the train for the second time today ... Train ride isn't so bad. About 2.5 hours and u get to see the ocean view for most of it. The sun it setting now. Fun fact. They filmed the race scene of GREASE outside the Los Angeles train station so we got to see that today as well. So cool ahaha haley recognized the iconic scene right away. Who knows what we will do tonight. Sorry about all the snow back at home everyone, but if it makes you guys feel any better, haley and I are already depressed over going home on Friday 😔😔😔 On a lighter note-- more biking tomorrow 😁
